When Hoku got to the humans home.. It let her out of her cage, but instead of peacefully getting out, she scrambled out, slamming against walls and furniture. She only stopped when she leapt up on the window and smacked against it, falling back into a sitting position. She placed her paws on the cold window, searching desperately for other foxes like her.

Emen padded along and pricked up his ears as he heard a sound. He looked around and walked towards a house, looking from side to side for what was making the sound. In a window he saw another fox like him, he looked up at them.

Hoku gasped and her eyes lit up. She started to scrape her paws against the window, then she mouthed 'help!' Hoku wasn't in real danger, she just didn't know how to get out and she didn't want to be an owned pet... She hated humans from the moment she first saw them!

Emen understood and scrabbled up a pile of bricks till he was nearer the window. He sniffed around it and scraped a little but it was no use. He gestured that he was going to look round and jumped down before going to the front door.

Hoku nodded, then jumped off of the ledge. She landed gracefully, then when she saw Ivy coming, she scampered away and hid underneath the couch. Ivy chuckled, then opened the door and walked outside.

Emen froze as he saw Ivy and then sped away to a bush. He lay under it, watching Ivy. He had trusted humans till his last experience with them, he remembered how the mans finger had dug into him.

Hoku slowly crawled out, then hid behind some boxes.. She could still see the door, so she waited until she heard her owner's metal thing start up and it slowly backing out. She then jumped up on the window again, looking for the male fox she had seen.

Emen saw the human go in a wierd metal thing and ran past the window where he had seen the female. He looked for a way out but couldn't see anything obvious.

Hoku flattened her ears against her head as she saw him rush out, then she jumped back down and started clawing at the door.

Emen heard her scratching and scratched as well but the door was wood. He leapt up onto his hind legs and pushed his nose through the letter box.
