Blaze turned around. "Well, that was stupid. You shouldn't go looking for some stranger." She snapped rudely, though unintentionally. She huffed and sat down after realizing that what she said might have been offensive, but decided not to comment on it. Thunder roared again, and blaze almost flinched. It's just the roaring clouds. That can't hurt. The real danger is the white fire. After that thought, more lightning flashed, causing the cave's entrance tunnel to light up for a split second. "I don't know what you want with me, but I'm not looking for a cute little pet to follow me around." Blaze's voice had a hint of a snarl in it. "But I suppose you should stay for the night. Just until this storm is over." She still didn't sound welcoming or kind, nor did she intend to come off cold and rude. It's just how it happened.

~ hoping Luna is resistant to Blaze pushing her away. XD otherwise she would just go away, and that wouldn't help the story much, would it? But it's up to you. I mean, they could just run into eachother again. But allow me to point out that blaze did let Luna into her den, and her behavior is just because her blocked-off personality. If blaze didn't care, she would have shoo'ed Luna away already.

Luna flinched at Blaze's harsh words. She clearly seemed upset that Luna was in her presence. She was about to respond when roaring thunder interrupted her. Flinching, Luna decided to keep quiet about her comment. "It was probably gonna sound rude anyway" she thought to herself. Looking towards the entrance of the cave, Luna gazed upon the storm that was raging outside. As more lightning flashed, the cave lit up for a few seconds, and Luna whipped her head around , shocked by Blaze's rude comment. "Excuse me? I don't know who you think you are, but I am no pet, certainly not to you!" She got up and spat unexpectedly at her. Almost immediately afterward,Luna sat back down and mumbled an apology. "Sorry..."

~ Yeah she is. But her problem with that is she retaliates pretty harshly, which she regrets immediately, so it's kinda half and half if that makes sense? ~

Blaze Twitched her ear, surprised by Luna's reply. She laughed a tiny bit. I did not expect that... especially from her. "right. I apologize if that came a bit harsh." Blaze tried hard to sound as if she wasn't choking out the words. She wasn't the best at saying "sorry". The darkness of the cave see me lessened to Blaze as her eyes once again adjusted. The occasional lightning confused her brain. She got up and grabbed was rabbit from a small dip in the ground. It had some bones from long gone prey, and was both the spot where she kept extra food and prey remains. She laid down and began to gnaw at the carcass hungrily, not thinking about weather Luna was hungry or not.

Luna looked at Blaze and gave a small smile. "I-Its okay. I apologize for my sudden retaliation.. I usually don't say things like that around others.." She followed Blaze with her gaze as she took out an rabbit and began to gnaw on it hungrily. Her nose twitched as she received the scent of the small carcass. She hadn't eaten very much today, besides a small squirrel. She shook her head lightly. "No, no. You can't take someone else's food from them even if you ask. Its rude." She scolded herself in her head. Luna stretched her limbs before curling up into a ball. Resting her head on her tail, she yawned tiredly.

Blaze finished the rabbit she had, and pushed the bones to the pile. The cold stone floor wasn't very comfortable to sleep on, so she had a nest made of feathers and moss. She sighed. should I make a nest for her? Blaze rolled her eyes. What a crazy idea... but she did it anyway. Padding outside in the rain, she turned to a small spot under a ledge. The moss there was dry and soft, cool to the touch. Perfect bedding. It was where she always got the contents for her nest. Blaze took a large mouthful and quickly, but quietly, dashed back in. She did that multiple times until there was enough moss for a nest. It was still dry, despite the short walk in the pouring rain. She padded over to Luna and dropped the moss. good enough. I am not making her nest for her. If she wants it, she'll make it. Blaze trotted back to her nest and settled down with a large yawn, her sharp, pearly white fangs showing. The lightning and thunder had died down to a minimum, obviously getting further away, while the echoing patter of the rain continued steadily.

Luna looked up at Blaze with gratitude as she dropped moss in front of her. "Y-you didn't have to do that for me... T-thank you.. " she said quietly. Getting up, she neatly made her nest, happy with how soft and dry it was. "Maybe she does have a soft side after all." she thought as she gazed over at Blaze yawning. "Even if she does look a little scary." she chuckled lightly to herself. Luna layed down in her nest and curled up into a ball once again before slowly drifting to sleep, listening to the echoing patter of the rain.

~ Timeskip to morning, if course! ~ Sorry I didn't post for a while. I was spending the night somewhere. ~

Blaze woke up to a dim sunlight coming through the tunnel. She got up and stretched, her chest touching the ground. The rain had stopped, but the sky was overcast with dark, thick clouds looming above. Even then, the sunlight was shining through the clouds. Blaze trotted outside and scented for prey. A loud screech sounded from above. Hawks. Hawks were usually only dangerous to small animals such as cubs, cats, rodents, and smaller birds. But it was still good to be safe. Blaze moved to a spot with denser trees and plants. She checked prey once again. still nothing... the thick scent of rain hung over the forest. A tree nearby was split nearly in half, obviously due to the white fire. They were lucky that there was a heavy downpour. Otherwise, the white fire would've started a red fire, which were even more deadly and destructive. Flashbacks of a blazing hot fire licking the trees and swallowing up Blaze's home were playing in her mind. The fire destroyed her family. But there was no way to get rid of it. Blaze sighed. She missed her home, despite the very nice, large, hidden cave she had found as a new den. It would've been so much nicer to share with her family.
A bird fluttered into a tree near Blaze. It was trying to crush a snail's shell to get to the food inside. Lucky for her, the bird didn't realize the danger so close by. She stalked closer to the low branch. Her hind legs bunched up and sprung upwards. With a powerful leap, blaze grabbed the bird from it's perch, and killing it.

Luna woke up to rays of sunlight reaching into the cave. She got up and stretched, flexing her sprained paw to see if it was okay. "It's doing better." she said relieved. She looked over towards Blaze's nest, only to see that it was empty. "Where did she go?" she questioned quietly. She padded to the entrance of the cave, and sniffed. Blaze's scent was very vague, as the rain still thickly hung over the forest. "Now now, no need to worry Luna, she's probably out hunting. Speaking of hunting, I should do the same. I can't nor should expect her to bring me back anything." Luna left the cave and trotted around, searching for prey.
She had found a stream near by, and decided to catch herself a fish or two. She patiently waited before she saw a fish swimming downstream towards her. With a swift swipe, she flung the fish into the air and caught it in her jaws, killing it with her sharp fangs. She lightly laid it beside her. "I better catch something for Blaze too, just in case if she couldn't find anything." With that she repeated the process until she caught two more fish.

Blaze got back to her dark den with the limp bird dangling from her mouth. The nest Luna had made was empty; she must have gone hunting. Blaze sat down where she usually ate and began to eat her prey. Once or twice, blaze had stopped to think weather she should hunt for Luna or not. She decided not to. This Fox wasn't her family, nor was she her friend, so why help? The only read on she let this stranger into her den was because she wasn't cruel enough to let an animal die from a storm. Blaze didn't know about the nest though. Before her family died, she would've helped literally anyone. But now... she kept to herself, never wanting to reach out to others. Even though she never got the chance, blaze knew she would never go out if her way to be helpful to anyone but herself, yet she helped Luna. And why, you might ask? That was unknown. Something just felt good about helping.
Blaze finished the bird and shoved the bones into the hole she always put her prey remains. She padded outside and looked up. The clouds still covered most of the sky. Something didn't feel right. Something didn't seem safe. The wind was changing frequently, and some spots seemed a bit warmer than others. "this storm... it isn't over." Blaze half said and half thought to herself. The seemingly slow-moving clouds looked ominous and grey/purple. That saying- every cloud has a silver lining -definitely not true in this case. "In fact, It's just begun."

~ Idk, it just sounded cool. I was thinking there could be some terrible natural disaster, and then maybe Blaze and Luna are forced to work together to survive? It just seems exciting. x3 ~
