Ayato jumped out of the truck and ran over to her. He could smell the blood but he kept control of himself. "What happened?" He asked. He looked around the forest. They were hiding, waiting for a chance to attack.

"Three of them, apart of the clan were hunting tonight. They looked ravenous, I was their next victim." She grasped out. With the slow loss of blood, her vision began to glow blurry but not before her eyesight caught the last gleam of moonlight making his eyes glow red behind his Sun glasses. "Ayato." She whispered, before fainting and falling to the ground.

He picked her up and took her back to the truck. She needed help and fast. He laid her in the passenger seat and got in. He turned the truck towards town and floored it. He was almost disgusted with himself. He was helping a human. He almost felt protective over her.

Her head rolled from side to side for a bit, tossing and turning as her body began to become restless from being still and loss of blood as her head began to swim. "Its hurts." She whispered, clutching her hand even tighter to her stomach, blood soaking the white fabric.

"Easy there." He spoke. "I am taking you to a hospital." He looked at her. It was worse than he thought. For some reason, he felt compelled to help her. He couldn't shake the feeling. He pressed the pedal to the floor and the truck sped up

She opened her eyes halfway to look at him. "Why are you taking me to a hospital, if you're one of them?" She whispered.

He froze. He didn't have an answer. How did she know? He glanced at her, "how did you know?" He asked before looking back at the road

"Before I blacked out.." she replied, curling in a circle. "The moonlight got in a space on your glasses and I saw the red in your eyes." She laid her cheek against the cool leather of the seat. Her breathing light and even.

He focused on the road and dark forest around them. He didn't know what to say to her. He had been trying to keep it a secret for 90 years and now this girl figured it out. He didn't know what to do. "Please don't tell anyone. I have been hiding it for 90 years in this town." He spoke quietly

She slowly shook her head. "Everyone here knows vampires live in this town, good and bad ones." She said, yawning. "I won't tell." She then closed her eyes. "Where are we going?".she added.
