Milla glared at Henry, angry and upset. "What? You thought I'd actually tell you? Well, I think there's my verification that I can't trust you." She was refereing to the 'i'm not keeping any promises' part of what he'd said. "Good day. I hope you find pleasure of seeing someone in torture." The mute snapped, then turned on her heels

Milla couldn't get over her anger about the boy. "How.. dare .. he.." She growled to herself, power walking down the streets. It irked her to infinity, about how he wasn't going to keep any promises. The mute felt a angry and betrayed hearing his car door slam. She didn't know how hard it was to keep a secret but perhaps harder than it looked.

She came upon her hotel once more, rushing inside. The girl could only hope no one knew about her speaking . Henry just didn'tuunderstand how it felt to be tortured and thrown away. No one did except for her. She shook her head pushing away those thoughts glancing out the window

Henry drove back to his tiny apartment replaying the events. He knew, even if she hadn't answered all of his questions, that he would keep this a secret. Who would he tell? He had a small group of friends, and that was about it. He had little to no friends, and he wasn't planning on randomly chatting with a stranger anytime soon again.

He parked in his usual sparking space back at the apartment and disappeared inside. He wanted to know more, but he doubted she would ever set a foot near him again. He had screwed up any chance of her speaking with him again. He closed his eyes and turned on the television, but he had no interest in watching it. It had been a long day, and it was becoming increasingly dark. "Just keep it together, Henry," he muttered.

After a while, he headed out once more. It was still early enough to grab a bite to eat. He had nothing appeasing back at home. He decided to walk to relieve some of his thoughts. He stopped by a twenty-four hour café, and he ordered something and took his number to wait.

Milla couldn't help but pace once back in her room. Everything was ruined.. everyone would find out.. and everything would fall apart.. which was not a good thing. but maybe, she could convince him that it was a good idea to keep it a secret.. but how? she furrowed her eyebrows, thinking of a proper way to go about it..

Milla was never very good at these types of things, just for the face that she never really thought of this type of thing. She devised a plan in her mind, and wrote it all down on a piece of paper, in order of steps. hopefully, it would work. there were only two ways to go about the plan: either lie alot, or tell him what actually happened. neither of them were good at all

Henry woke the next morning in a haze. He had been up half the night due to a coffee craze as well as the fact that he was contemplating and rethinking all of the questions he had for the mysterious girl. He rubbed the back of his neck and dressed rather slowly. He was experiencing a major buzz crash still, even though the coffee had left his system long ago. After he was ready, he made another coffee in a mug and headed off. He didn't have work today, since he had both shifts the following day. Yet, he still found himself heading on over to the mini restaurant anyway.

He ordered a small order of fries and a shake before he took a seat near the door. He wanted to see this Milla character again. No, he didn't just want answers from her. He also wanted to just know her. The fact she was so mysterious and challenging to speak with appealed to him more than it should. He wanted to know her better than all the people did that believed she was mute. He already knew her deepest secret. They might as well become friendly. He had something against her if he were to be angered anyway.

Milla awoke to the sun shining through her windows, but with dread in her body. Though her body wasn't aching, her head was. She was just so scared that Henry would spill her secret, and frankly, she wasn't really in the mood to deal with that right now. Milla dragged herself out of bed with hesitance and got dressed, hoping that maybe a cup of coffee would help reboot her system a little bit.

Milla opened the door and walked outside, to the call of fresh air. She couldn't help but smile to herself as she averted her head down to the sidewalk and kept walking. Maybe today would not be as terrible as the last one? She sighed and slipped inside the diner from the day before, only hoping that Henry wasn't there again today.

She dared to look up and was relieved to see that no one made a big deal out of her. Milla courageously kept her head up, but bit her lip slightly and joined teh line to order a cup of coffee. She ordered and shortly after recieved her coffee, and sat down in a booth by herself. The mute glance around for the boy, surprised to find herself looking for some company; someone to talk to. And there he was. Should she approach him? That might be the best thing to do.

Milla took a deep breath before walking over to Henry's booth. She kept her distance, before clearing her throat. "Can I.. talk to you? I just.. wanna apologize."Well she was glad that was over with. The girl held her breath, almost expecting rejecting. Milla hadn't been accepted by many for many years, why did she think this would be any different?

Henry had been deep in thought, and he hadn't noticed the people arriving or departing from the diner. He was thoughtfully sipping his beverage he had been given moments before. He almost sagged with relief when his fries arrived. They weren't exactly a healthy alternative breakfast, but then smelled fantastic. So, he couldn't careless. He nibbled on the warm fries and went back to his thoughtful state.

Snapping out of it, he glanced up to see her. She had made an appearance again; he had expected her to never speak with him again, so he was thrown into shock. There were so many words that were flashing through his mind; he didn't know how to explain what he was thinking to himself nor her. Why did she wish to speak to him? He wasn't upset by it, but he was still uncertain about the reason. She hadn't approached him before wishing to speak to him, unless it was to tell him to not reveal her precious secret to anyone.

Clearing his throat, he finally decided to speak. "Can you talk to me? I don't know. Can you talk?" he countered, picking up a fry and twirling it between his fingers. He wasn't supposed to speak to her, was he? He dropped his sarcastic manner a moment later. "I suppose. I guess I have my own apologies," he added rather forcefully. Maybe he should keep this secret for her. It wouldn't kill him to do so.

He stared down at his fries momentarily. He had lost his appetite. Pondering over questions and people could do that to someone. He pushed the plate off to the side and trained his eyes to the ground. Lifting his gaze from the ground back to her, he tried to shoot her a friendly smile. He still had so many questions for her. It hadn't changed.

Milla blinked, not expecting Henry's answer. However, when she heard all the sarcasm dripping from his voice, she hardened her stare, a bit offended by it. "Yes. I can speak, thank you very much. But anyways, I wanted to apologize for making the threat,. It wasn't fair of me to do so." She dropped her voice at the end of the apology, not wanting to say much more.


"You needn't apologize. None of this was your fault... except for your sarcasm, of course." Milla sighed and shook her head. "But, uh, thanks for not freaking out on me." She turned on her heels, letting out a breath. That was way more nerveracking than it should have been. She went back over to her table and took a sip of coffee, looking out the window.

Milla was a bit curious as to what Henry had been thinking about. She was still hoping he would keep her secret, but it wasn't as important as it was yesterday, which seemed a little strange to her. Milla gave a shrug to herself before sipping at her coffee again, her thoughts whirling around. Did anyone else know yet, that she spoke?

Henry listened to her explanation and nodded once. Just like every time she spoke with him, she was gone before he knew it. She was back to her table before he could ask her all the questions running through that head of his. He didn't blame her; when she was done speaking, she was done. He couldn't force her to keep a conversation with him.

Finishing up his drink and fries, he stood and headed for the door. His eyes skimmed over to Milla. He could approach her; it wasn't like she would sue him if he did. Hesitantly, he sat across from her at the table and leaned back in the seat. "I will keep your secret," he told her; there wasn't anyone he would tell it to anyhow. He only had his small group of friends, and that would be about it. "But, you should hold a conversation with me. As in, don't say a few words and leave without a second to spare. Let's have a real conversation," he proposed; a satisfied smirk lied on his face.

The chances of her agreeing seemed quite slim, but it wasn't like a guy couldn't try, right? He rested his elbows on the table and leaned forward. "What do you say?" he questioned, raising a brow in interest. Maybe she would agree, and they could start a sort of friendship. She probably didn't have many, if any. He didn't have many; that was for sure.
