inwardly, the trickster smirked, he had left out the part how the child was a snake, how he was still alive, and how he had wrapped himself around midgurd. the God always seemed to leave the other information out, cutting out the important parts of the tales, like how if his son moved, it would destroy midgurd. Outwardly however, he appeared stoic and unchanging even with the murmur of comments.
"I can name more then a few gods who "Kill people and destroy things," your description is really helpful" Loki said with quite a lot of sarcasm, considering that Tony was talking to two gods that had "Killed people and destroyed things" the latter of course was placed more on Thor then himself. He had blatantly ignored the comments about having relationship problems with his father, Everyone knew that it put no new information out on the table. "Things by the way, incredibly descriptive, that tells me everything of who or what this so called god would be targeting"

Tony wanted nothing more than to punch Loki right in his smug little face. Instead, he offered a carefree smile and a shrug, taking another drink of his scotch, eyes locked on Loki's the whole time. Thor stepped in then, speaking up when the others did not. He too was uncomfortable with the conversation, but not because of father problems. "Loki, you have met Ares on one occasion," he said, looking at his brother. "He looks like a young man and dresses in battle garbs at all times." Natasha stepped up to add in a short description of the helmet he is said to always wear; a tall helmet with red going down the top of it. "He always bears a weapon," Thor added, frowning a little. The Greek war god had no real distinguishing attributes, making it a little difficult for anyone to really remember him.
"I would bet," Banner said, "He had a really big personality, was very loud, and enjoyed starting fights or picking on everyone else." When everyone looked at him, he merely shrugged, a slight blush threatening to appear. "Stereotypical bully, you know?" he murmured, looking down once again. Everyone seemed satisfied with the answer, most of them not being surprised to know that the good Doctor had been the victim of such people in his youth.
"The fact is that we don't know much about him," Steven said to Loki, still trying to decide whether they could actually trust him or not. "We didn't know that "gods"," he said, air quoting the word, "Existed before you came to earth. To this day, you and your brother are the only two we've ever dealt with." Ending his explanation, he sighed a little. "I guess that's one reason Thor brought you. We don't know what we're up against, and we sure don't know how to beat them." Realizing it was Loki's child they were going to have to 'beat', he looked down, averting his gaze. He couldn't imagine, and didn't want to. "If you want to know more about him, maybe you could find a way to meet him," he said then, looking at Thor and Loki both. "You're both "gods" just like they are. Can't you find a way to meet up or something? Then we would know what we were up against." He had no idea if that was logical or not; he was still having a hard time believing in the existence of more than the Christian god he had always believed in. "The one is your son, right? Can't you just talk to him?"

Loki scoffed, inwardly replying to himself, "so I am dealing with another thor, Great, one is bad enough and now there is two of them." He stopped to think for a moment, how would it be to approach this "god", he could easily shapeshift into a lark and watch him from afar that is if Fenrir had forgotten his scent after all the years of being apart, if not, well he doubted he would be in danger, he could always try it. if anything the location would effect his answer, he would want to be down wind just incase.
"I know what Fenrir is capable of but I would need to see what the god can do" Loki looked down, saying his plan as he though it through, "any idea where he is?" The first part would be the hardest if they didn't know were the other god even was, the second part, split Fenrir off from him, would be easy. once Fenrir was closed off, they could go about dealing with the god. the third, would be Helpful to him if the other god took out thor, if not he still did his job and would not have to return to asguard.
The more he could find out about this Ares the more he could use his strengths against him, like he often did to Thor. If he was physically strong it meant he lacked in the brain category, and if he could find out the quirks he could use them to eat away at the other god, in raging him into doing something where he wouldn't think and act just a little to rashly. From the sounds of it the enraging of the other god would not be too hard at all

Everyone could see that Loki wasn't taking this seriously, at all. All of them were getting pretty frustrated, aside from Banner who didn't get bothered by things easily anymore. Why he couldn't just cut the crap and be a civil being for five minutes, no one could figure out. Even Tony Stark, the famed Iron Man, could stop being so ridiculous for a short amount of time. It was almost as if the two of them were twins, Tony and Loki. They were both so immature, both had deep issues that they refused to accept help with, and both were so damned frustrating that the rest of the Avengers could just beat them into the ground.
The Avengers' eyes fell on Loki as he began speaking, listening with interest as he began formulating a plan of sorts. Anything the trickster god could do for them was widely appreciated, even if they weren't really showing it. They had already realized that what was happening was way too far above them, that they would not be able to beat two gods, no matter what they did. Well, they had beaten Loki, but a god of war and Loki's kid together? They thought they had no chance. Everyone was silent for a moment.
"I believe him to be here, the area Midgardians call Manhattan," Thor said, looking only at his brother as he spoke. He had forgotten that Midgardians felt strange, being called "Midgardians". "There have been many strange occurrences here; more violence than humans are normally the cause of, earthquakes, and the slaughter of several of Midgardians," he said quietly. "They had been.. Eaten," he said, obviously feeling awkward about it, "By some kind of large animal," he ended. His eyes had left those of his brother, obviously feeling a little uncomfortable. He wanted to be there for his brother, wanted to keep him safe and happy, but if his son was bent on destroying Midgard, he would not stand idly by.
"Wait, you weren't kidding? His kid, this Fenrir, he's actually a wolf? That's not just a title because he's kind of rabid?" Tony was looking over at Loki and Thor now, his brows pulled down in confusion. "How- How does that even work?" he asked before shaking his head, holding up two hands in surrender. "Never mind," he said, shaking his head, "Don't answer that. I don't want to know."

"I'll save your puny mind" Loki chuckled at the man of irons response, "But yes Fenrir is a wolf" he was wanting to get of the subject of his son. his sarcastic retorts and crude responses were hiding the fact that he truly felt bad for not being there for his son, but this was not his fault that fenrir had teamed up with another god, it was Odin's. this would just be one more thing he chocked up to the "Why I hate Odin list".
"Shouldn't we be in this manhattan place?" Loki said, "Finding out what he is up to?" He raised one hand from the crossed arms on his chest. "We, well I and one other person need to go there, and before you ask why not just me, first I do not know where this Manhattan is and second if something happens to me" He paused with a foxes grin, "There goes your plan" This ensured his safety and endangered one of the avengers. "Thor, fenrir knows what you smell like so your out, so who wants to brave a giant wolf?"
As the god waited for a response he fixed a stray strand of hair, placing everything back into place. For a god of Chaos he was refined and barely a hair was ever out of place.

«☼»
Male - Human
Currently in Stark Tower with "the gang,"
angry, frustrated, tense.
Even if the others couldn't see it, couldn't tell, Thor and Tony both knew that Loki wanted to get off of the topic of his son. They had both already come to realize that Loki became more bitter and sarcastic when he was feeling upset, Thor because he had grown up with him and Tony because.. Well, he was the same way. Stark didn't know what Loki was feeling of course, he just knew that he was indeed feeling something, something he didn't enjoy feeling. Though he really liked seeing Loki squirm in his own way, Tony decided to let it drop as he too was tired of talk of fathers and sons.
When Loki asked why they weren't already in Manhattan, Tony rolled his eyes and sighed dramatically. "I thought gods were supposed to be smart, especially you," he said, gesturing towards Loki in an offhand way. "We are in Manhattan," he said, adding "Duh," to the end of it. He was so mature, he knew. He just couldn't stop himself from trying to get Loki mad. There was something about the way he acted that got under Tony's skin in a way that others didn't. He was too cold, too calm and collected. Stark hated it, his mind instantly going back to how his own father had behaved that way. It made him bitter towards the god, causing him to act out more than usual.
When Loki asked who would join him, it was obvious that Thor felt quite uncomfortable. He wanted to join his brother, wanted to make sure he was safe, but at the same time he knew that Fenrir would not only know his scent, but that the wolf would probably want him dead. Though he didn't say it aloud, Thor was afraid of the wolf. Fenrir was Thor's equal, perhaps his better when in battle. Thor wasn't confronted with power like that often, had only faced it in Fenrir actually, and it made him very nervous and uncomfortable. When Loki said he couldn't come, he looked away and did not try to protest.
"I'll go," Steve said, standing from where he had taken a seat on the couch. He was volunteering for a mission he was sure would get him hurt or killed, but always the hero, he didn't want any of his friends to be in that situation instead. Tony waved him off, speaking before Cap could do much more than stand.
"Sorry Cap, but that's not a good idea. These are gods we're talking about. You wouldn't stand a chance, even with your spangly shield," he said simply. "You can't go," he said, pointing at Natasha, "Because even though you admittedly kick ass, you're trained to deal with humans. Besides, who else is going to get Hawkeye here?" Moving on, he pointed to Banner next. "You can't go either, because even though I'm a fan of you turning into a giant green rage-monster, it's not going to be very helpful if you give us away. And Thor can't go because Fenrir thinks he stinks," Tony said, taking a drink before setting his now-empty glass on the table. "So that leaves me." he said simply. "So what's the plan, Loki? How will you explain me away to them? Ooh, I could pose as one of your flying monkeys," he said. "I'd have to pretend though, since your staff didn't really work on me last time," he said with a shrug, looking at his fingernails nonchalantly. "That is, if we are willing to let him hold his glow stick again," he said simply. Perhaps Loki would have a better idea, one that didn't involve the Avengers giving him back his confiscated weapon.

"Do you really think I care about what you call your mortal cities?" The trickster god replied, as if he was supposed to remember the name of a child briefly mentioned in a conversation held years ago. The gods response was lacking in emotion as it seemed he had none to spare on the comment.
"Though to be honest I would love to see how the "Giant green monster" stacks up to my son, and to see them go toe to toe, that green may change colors though." He wasn't aiming the comment at Bruce Banner, but at the monster he hid. thinking back on it, he still hurt from being slammed into the stark tower. If the two of them were to meet up, the monster would be like a fly is to a truck.
"you would probably benefit me more as Flying monkey, you would be quiet and at least you would sit will in fenrir's stomach. but" He continued, "you will take me to where they are and simply watch to see if they notice me, if they do you are to fight and we leave, the longer I have the more information I gather, and the more use I am" he rolled his hand out. 'the scepter wasn't mine, and if you think I need it to do magic, you sorely underestimate my abilities," He snapped his finger and a ball of ebbing darkness filled his palm. the ball seemed to suck in all color and light, yet it was no bigger then a tennis ball, and with a snap again, it was gone.
He took a few steps, "are we going?" he asked a little annoyed like the other should have led the way. once he saw the open sky he was going to change forms into the small lark and fly to where he was suppose to be going, "I suggest you don't slow me down"

Anthony "Tony" Stark - Iron Man
«☼»
Male - Human
Currently with Loki, trying to spy
Feeling tense, nervous, ready
Unimpressed with Loki's stoic response, Tony wondered momentarily whether he had pushed too far, if he had made Loki shut down rather than show more emotion as he had wanted. How sad, he thought, though he didn't care much. He ignored the first things Loki said, paying attention only to what was actually important to the plan. He didn't even mention the monkey comment, instead only nodding his head. Sure, whatever, he would take Loki's sarcasm.. For now. He had to admit though, he was pretty impressed by Loki's ability to use magic. He wouldn't admit it to anyone else, but he knew just how fragile he really was. He pretended to be one of the best of the Avengers, but at forty-three years old, he knew he wasn't what he once was.. With magic though, he could-
Stark cut his thoughts off, surprised at where they had been going. He had never thought like that before, and didn't plan to now. Clearing his throat, Tony nodded. "Sure, whatever," he said, as though he hadn't been paying any attention. He had heard every word of what was said though, tucking it tightly away in his memory. The plan wasn't a hard one, but he knew it would be dangerous. When Loki asked if they were going yet, Tony sighed dramatically. "I thought you wanted to do a few more party tricks," he said, smirking at Loki a little, "But sure, we can go now." He glanced at Thor, realizing he didn't really know where they were supposed to be going in the first place; he hadn't even known the gods were in Manhattan until moments ago when Thor said it.
Thor didn't miss a beat, not as slow as his brother seemed to think. "Enough showing off, brother," he said, sounding a little tired. "Save your magics." Turning to Tony, he began to speak again. "The gods have somehow cloaked themselves and their surroundings. They are staying in a.. A hotel, as you call them," he said, nodding as he found the correct term. "They live on the very top, but none of the rest of it is inhabited, though it seems that it is. They are not in their true forms; Ares looks to be a normal young Midgardian man while Fenrir has taken the appearance of a fierce dog." That was all he knew, and it was pretty obvious when he didn't keep going.
"Right, thanks," Stark said, nodding. "So, power-hungry god in a hotel. I think I know just the one," he said happily, turning on his heel. "Come on, Loki," he said, glancing over his shoulder, "I suggest you don't slow me down." With that last mocking remark, Tony left the Stark Tower, hitting a button on a cuff around his wrist before parts of his suit began flying at him, attaching to him easily. He knew he needed his suit if he was going to stand a chance, and it felt nice to have it on again. As soon as it was on, he lifted himself into the sky, hovering for a moment as he looked for Loki. Once Loki, now somehow in the form of a bird, joined him, he took off towards the nicest hotel in the city, one which had just been built the last year. He stopped on the roof, turning to glance at Loki before gesturing downwards. Loki would have to figure out how to spy on his own; Tony would wait atop the building and jump in if things started going wrong.

Loki now a black and white lark, fluttered beside the man in the suit. The small wings beat in tune, the small bird was fast and he kept up with the mechanical body. When they finally reached the luxurious hotel, he landed on a window ceil. looking in before hopping to another window, then another, until he was at the right room. for a pompous god he was acting perfectly like a bird.
a black wing signaled the other man to watch the area. with one eye Loki watched the room, A man and a dog headed up out of the room and up to the roof. the bird fallowed, landing on the roof top, and began to preen himself. again he was fixing himself, moving a small feather back into place when the two moved up the stairs.
"ya well your going to have to deal with it" the war god grumbled as the large wolf like dog growled at him, "your time will come later then you can get your revenge too" loki's eyes move to his son, who let out an angry growl. "We wait until the humans Join together for a party, this way they are all together before we slaughter them like sheep."
the winds changed and loki's scent wafted to his son. the wolf sniffed the air and barked, it wasn't an angry bark but a concerned one. the deep green eyes looked around, and spotted a red glimmer in the sky. Fenrir's bark turned to a low spiteful growl. Ares looked up, spotting the red suit too, "One of those avengers? Let's show these human that their hero's mean nothing

Anthony "Tony" Stark - Iron Man
«☼»
Male - Human
Currently with Loki, talking with the gods,
pretending he doesn't know they're gods
Stark stood atop the luxurious hotel, his metal suit standing out harshly against the grey top of the building. He was leaning forward slightly so he could keep an eye on Loki, but when Loki suddenly flew upwards towards him, he realized he was in trouble. They must have been coming up. Quickly shooting upwards, Tony was still trying to gain altitude when he was spotted, thanks to Loki's damned son. God, he thought to himself, they're both out to get me. He couldn't hear what Ares said, but he knew he was looking at him; Tony was looking down now. Sighing to himself, he realized he had no real choice but to go back down there to stick by Loki, though he hoped he could avoid being killed by hovering a little ways away from the edge of the building.
Slowly making his way back down, Tony stopped a few feet from the edge, saying something so his mask slid away, revealing his nonchalant expression. "Oh, hey guys," he said, as though they were all friends, "What's up? How's the hotel? Nice, right?" he said, making small-talk. He had realized that they might not know who he was, so he was trying to play it off as though he thought they were normal people. Well, a normal person and his pet dog. Still going with this plan, Tony stepped forward and onto the roof, glancing around him. "Nice view up here," he said, looking back at Ares with a smile. "I can see why you're staying here."
He glanced around him then, wondering where Loki had gotten to. Surely they hadn't caught him while he was up in the sky, he thought to himself. His eyes came to rest on the small bird for a few moments before he returned his gaze to the man before him. He didn't address Fenrir; humans didn't talk to other people's dogs, and that's what he was pretending the wolf was. A dog, like the one it was currently posing as. Stark was a little surprised that Loki hadn't flown away and left him, especially now that he had gained some sort of insight, at least as far as Tony knew. What Iron Man didn't realize though, was that Loki wanted to see him suffer, and that was exactly what he was going to get..
