Ahh, she's biting her lip, Brittany mentally cooed. It was really strange. To Brittany, Rose didn't look like the shy type at all. Perhaps it was the environment? Being in a new school miles from her own home had made Brittany pretty uncomfortable too, so it was probably just affecting Rose more. In either case, the effect was that she seemed rather sweet and Brittany knew that her own friendliness came naturally for people like that. There were also stirrings of other feelings, but Brittany forced them down. Rose wasn't like that.

"I felt the same way! I thought I'd be the only one my age to come here from a public school," she said, then realized that she wasn't sure Rose was her age or class. "I'm a Junior by the way. Seventeen-years-old."

"As for getting a chance," Brittany said, glancing over her shoulder. "Aside from the whole not-inviting-us-to-sit-with-us thing, they don't seem too mean," she turned to look at a group of girls were looking at them. The expressions weren't too mean really. They just looked curious. One smiled and waved. Brittany smiled and waved back. "See? This won't be too terrible."

Yet part of Brittany wondered if that other girl's smile was fake. It wouldn't be the first time. Some girls would pretend to be nice only to pull a mean prank on the new kids later. At least that was what Brittany had seen in her public school. She would have to defend herself from that.

Faith walked about the school halls. She felt nervous, a little shy. Still, she tried to put a brave face on herself. She didn't want to feel the way she did, but she just did. She couldn't help it though. She saw a few girl's chatting; so she wondered if she should go over, or not. "Oh god. Should i, or don't i. God Faith, make up you're mind. Do it before its to late! Do it before everyone starts calling you a loner, a loser or something worse." She thought. "Fine, i might as well go over. It won't hurt. Right?" She made her mind up. She would go over. After all, if she was going to enjoy her time here the best she could; she needed friends. People who she would hang out with, talk to and do stuff with. After all, it was a boarding school. It was her first time being at one, and she wanted to try and forget the mean, snotty girls of her last school. She walked over to the girls, hoping they where feeling the same way as she did. "So, um, hi!" She said, after she went over. She hopped the fact she she felt nervous didn't show in her voice. After all, she didn't want people to think she was stupid. She moved a little bit of her hair away from her eyes, as it was in them. She put the peice of hair behind her ear.

"You do know that nobody is perfect don't you. We can't all be straight, blonde or have blue eyes. We are all diffrent, and we have to live with it."

Bow practically threw herself in an empty chair at the table, farthest from the other two girls as possible so her appearance at the table wasn't as awkward. She was sure she'd freak them out if she settled into a seat directly beside them and attacked them with the none stop flow of words that was typical of her. But she remained quiet and muttered thanks into the air for not tripping over nothing like the oh-so-graceful Bow would normally do in a situation that was as awkward as it was already.

She stared down at her hands in silence. Her dull steel grey eyes drawn automatically to the chip in her nail polish where the boring color of her true nail was visible at the corner of her pointer nail. Immediately Bow set to work scrapping off the rest of the neon pink nail polish - a terrible habit of hers that started in 5th grade when her obsession with looking good began. Before then seeing her with unnatural colored eyeshadow or even makeup om much less with painted nails was like seeing a purple cow playing with a holla hoop- it just wasn't going to happen.

Slowly her diligence wore off when only a little of pink nail polish still remained and her dull blue gaze began to wander around the room again as bored began to seep into her mind. In her boredom she started to study the small gathering of people who sat at the other end of the table as if they were the most interesting people in th world. And perhaps they were - or at least they were outcasts - judging from the glances that were thrown at them on occasions by the surrounding students.

Bow slide her chair back and rose to her feet. She circled around the table and settled down beside one of guys not wanting to look suspicious by sitting close to a girl. In her overly creative mind she was conjouring the worst possible things that would the the results if she went near any of the girls in this place or even spoke to them. She wondered if she actually took a liking to a girl here what they would do, she assumed the worst, of course. Everyone would eject her the moment they found out, her parents would told a very exaggerated tale and they ignore Bow's side as always, she would be kicked out of the school and sent to a more strict school that this - if that were possible.

Brittany had been slightly distracted in her wondering whether the girl at the other table was being real or faking her out, that she did not notice another girl (Faith) approaching. She smiled in genuine amusement. Were all the new girls going to play 'shy' today, or was it a legitimate running trait? Well, either way, Brittany had no desire to be rude and it wasn't as if the table was full. "Hey," she replied casually. "Need a place to sit?"

The seat to her right was taken by Riley, so she motioned to the seat next to Rose. "Rose, do you mind if she sits down?"

Brittany was then aware of a seat being moved further away on the table. The girl (Bow) down there didn't seem angry or unfriendly, so Brittany assumed by default that she was shy too. She offered a friendly wave and said, "Hey, we don't bite. You can move over here if you want." She was as gentle about the offer as she could be, but had already steeled herself up for a "no". To be honest, she was getting a little frustrated. The table needed some unity so that they wouldn't look so much like a cowering bunch of newbies than a burgeoning group of friends...even if the latter didn't quite work out there was not sense in not trying.

Riley watched Brittany Rosewell at work. He grinned a little. He had never met her before, but he knew in that instant he was making a new girl-friend (read as friend who happens to be a girl).

"Well look at you, being a little social butterfly," he told Brittany with a smile.

Then he looked up at the new girl (Faith). "I certainly don't bite, relax, make yourself comfortable. We're all new here. From the sounds of it, most of us are from public school too."

He looked down the table at the other new girl (Bow) with the same harmless smile. "That goes for you too, you know? I have a feeling we're all uncomfortable enough without treating each other like we might be poison ivy."

"How did you know!" Faith replied after seeing Riley's glance at her. She said it in a quiet voice, so only the people on her table could hear her. She spoke like this because she was so nervous. She looked around the room; where she saw people on one of the tables near her spray some perfume. "Oh god. Please not let that affect my asthma." She thought, after seeing it. She hopped it didn't as she didn't want to have an asthma attack on her first day. As she would feel really embrassed. She hated having them, as she knew when people saw her, they would pity her. Move her away from things that might harm her. She hated it. She also didn't want most of the school knowing about her asthma; as then she might be called names because of it. She felt her chest tighten a little bit. She hopped it was just her being nervous, as she didn't want to have an attack. "Lets hope it's just me eh. Don't even talk about it yeah Faith." She thought. She hid the pain out of her eyes and feelings.

Rose actually was genuinely very nervous, and shy around new people in general. She smiled a bit in relief when told the others had been in public schools too. "Oh no, I don't mind at all!" she said quickly, when asked if someone could sit next to her. She actually reached out to pull the chair out herself, opening the spot. She watched her speak to the other girls, giving a small, faint smile to the girl who sat next to her. "What is your name?".she asked softly, genuinely curious. "I'm Rose..."
She glanced down the table to see two boys sort of put off to the side, and noticed one very nice looking one was looking in their direction, seeming studying them. "Would you like to join us too?" she asked softly, but loud enough to be heard. She didn't want to leave anyone out if she could help it, and even though they were talking together, they seemed a bit lonely. "There's plenty of room, and I'm sure no one will mind."

Jules eyes windened slightly, looking surprised. His smile widened when the boy blushed deeply, and his eyes grew warm. He didn't mind it at all, and wasn't about to tease the boy about blushing. "Thank you," he said softly, with a dip of his head in thanks. He raked his dark hair back, but it fell back into almost the same position it had been in, causing a small look of annoyance to cross his face. His eyes widened once more when he heard a girl speaking. He glanced to each girl she spoke to, but his eyes only flickered over each quickly. Admittedly, they were pretty for girls, but he saw nothing that overly interested him. He raised one eyebrow when he was spoken to directly, and his gaze flickered over to William for a moment, before he shrugged. "I don't see why not," he said with a shrug, and got up slowly, looking back to Will. "Are you going to move down too?" he asked, sounding almost hopeful.
He wouldn't allow himself to get his hopes up even a small bit though, just because the boys cheeks had looked close to magenta and he had complimented Jules' name, didn't mean anything...
