Velvetflicker frowned, thinking, "It is." she admitted, "Like, I know that some day, when I retire or die, this cat will be responsible for the health of the entire clan, so I have to make sure that I do everything right. They have to know how to treat everything, even if they have never seen it before, and they have to know what every herb does, no matter how rare or strange. Because if I miss something, forget to teach them some vital information, a cat could die from it."

Velvetflicker froze for a moment, having trouble processing what he had just asked her. Thousands of fragments of sentences whirled through her head, and it was a moment before she could capture one of them. Looking up at him she asked quietly, "Me?" Then, drawing courage from somewhere, she smiled and answered, "Of course! I..I've really liked you for a long time Gladestep, I just...I didn't know...I mean, my clan doesn't mind too much, but your clan...."

“We’re a bit bigger of a clan so Morningstar should allow Splashkit to be a medicine apprentice. But I think Shadedleaf and Cloudpool will talk with him more when she’s closer to becoming an apprentice.” Cloudmask explained. “Oh that’s wonderful!” The she-cat purred, happy for them. “Kitless is kinda how we think Harespring and Juniperfoot will stay but they both swear they want kits but that now isn’t the right time. Harespring’s sister, Sedgetail, tells me they’ve been saying for a while.” Cloudmask told him with a small shrug.

She had managed to force out, any cat could hear the disgust in her voice. "My name is Quailwing by the way, a Briarclan warrior." The Molly rolled her eyes internally so the tom would not see it.

Juniperpelt set off at a brisk pace, his tail high and ears alert as he neared the area where he and a certain brown-and-white tabby agreed to meet up after their last conversation. He had hoped that Hillfang was doing well, it seemed a little too long for his taste since they last spoke. Juniperpelt leapt atop a fallen tree trunk, sitting back on his haunches and waited semi-patiently for the ForestClan cat.

Melonstar glanced around, her ears perked up. She saw Stormcloud glaring at her and sighed. It wasn't her fault she had arrived late! Late, to her first gathering....

houndstar - leader - tags; adderclan, sweetstar

houndstar folded his ears as his clan arrived at the gathering. "alright, adderclan." his voice was low and rough, eyes darting back and forth, as if a cat would jump out and attack the group at any minute. "be careful. talk to who you wish, don't get into any fights, and most importantly, don't get too close to anyone here. we can't be too trusting." houndstar made sure to connect eyes with each of his clanmates, ensuring that they knew that he was serious, and then turned and headed into the throng of cats. he might as well interact with other leaders, get a feel for what was happening.
he locked his gaze on a grey and white tom that seemed to be leading his clan into the clearing, and headed over to him. "...er, hello?" houndstar glanced at his paws. "my name is houndstar. i am the leader of adderclan." houndstar offered a weak smile.

wickerfur felt very small in the constant ocean of cats pouring around him, their voices melding together to create an almost screeching in his ears. he was shaking, pressing himself to the floor. his golden eyes darted swiftly around the clearing, until he spotted a she-cat that looked kind enough. the small tom scuttled over to her, heart beating irregularly. "h... hello," he stuttered, clearly very nervous.

sunsong dipped his head to houndstar as he left. there wasn't a cat that he could spot that wasn't already talking to someone, so the light orange tom found an open spot towards the back of the venue. he kept his guard up, however, just as his leader had warned.

sootpaw nodded her head along with what houndstar had to say. "yes, sir!" the molly squeaked, and she could certainly see a group of passing cats flinched as they heard her voice. she instantly calmed, ears pinned to her head in shame. she slipped into the crowd of cats, bumping into a few, squealing an apology, then running away.
"that she-cat is too young to be at a gathering," she heard an elder comment.
"certainly. what was houndstar thinking?" sootpaw darted away, body burning. she spotted another apprentice, one that seemed around the same age as her. so she wasn't the only one! sootpaw brightened noticeably, and trotted over.
"hi there!"
