"I could help you out, you know..." Shia said tentatively.
A cold, distant laugh echoed throughout the room.
"I may not look very wizardly, but I do use magic." Her voice reverberated slightly against the cold stone dimension in which she was kept. However, no other response was found.
"I'm learning how to, anyway... She thought.
"Ferondir... He wouldn't have taught me real magic, anyway. He probably wouldn't trust me with it."
Shortly after that thought, a brittle wind blew through dull tower.
Her thoughts intrigued him. Not because he wanted or was even interested in help, but because taking Shia from Ferondir would bring him such pleasure. The devastation it would cause him be... delicious.
He might even begin to see it his way.
The torch light flickered- at some point in the darkness Dark Zeph reappeared, mere inches from Shia.
Quickly, he pulled down the hood of his cloak, smirking unsettlingly.
"Well, you're right." He chuckled slightly- a dark, twisted laugh. "His philosophy on the concepts of magic are... misinformed. Zephyrus used to agree, until he began tampering with concepts beyond his Hylian comprehensions- That sword. A shame it could never be mine." He thought about that for a second longer. "No matter, because of his experimenting he led way for me- to enlighten him."
"If real magic is what you want... you might be useful after all." He said, talking more-so to himself. As if speaking his thoughts out loud was only for Shia's benefit- as if it's infinite knowledge was so valuable to her.
Quickly, yet surprisingly gently given the situation, he placed his hand around Shia's temple. Turning his head in observation.
He was looking at her, but not at her.
"Surprising. You actually have... potential." He said, possibly concealing actual surprise at what he saw and felt.
He lowered his hand. Smirking slightly.
"You understand what joining me would mean, don't you child?" He said, curiously. As if entertaining the idea of letting her accompany him amused him.
