As pain shot through Ferondir, Dark Zeph breathed in deeply- consuming the pain and strife that was lingering around him- as well as enjoying the flurry of magic that the spell released (because apparently that's how binding rune spells work in Ferondir's world).
He had slightly let his guard down while satiating his desire for chaos- but after a short moment, he sensed a presence in his wake.
Guzore.Dark Zeph turned quickly, just in time to see Guzore's Megaton hammer just inches away from him.
As the hammer became not even an inch away from his body, deep red and purple distortion flared to life- a shield materializing around that area.
The large hammer slowed upon making contact with the shield, still passing through it- however Dark Zeph reacted just in time. After a short moment, a wave of energy launched the hammer backwards- away from Zeph.

Dark Zeph turned, now irritated by Guzore's feeble attempt at an attack.
You ignorant, disposable, rock. He said, nearly provoked, and slowly marching infront of Guzore.
He pulled his own arm backwards, apparently readying it for an attack.
Tsk Tsk... Next time, you should try and finish what you started. He said, scolding Guzore for his incompetence.
Ashes to ashes, rocks... to dust. He said calmly, as plates of darkness formed around his arm, oscillating as a high velocity, creating a drill of dark energy.
He laughed, though it was barely audible over the consistent grinding noise.
After a few moments, Zeph pulled his arm away, letting the drill fizzle away.
He observed Guzore's current state, signifying the results with a
...Eh..
He concentrated on his subject, tapping into Guzore's mind.
...

...
what the... He scoffed at the image that he was presented with, flicking his wrist- which caused Guzore to be flung into the corner and, against his will, sit there in time-out.
Energy shackles slithered out of the floor, and quickly attached, and binded themselves, to Guzore's arms.
WHO DO YOU EVEN THINK YOU ARE?!?!?!?! Cassie shouted angrily, which caused Zeph to snap his gaze towards her.
You were never like this, and then you had to go and turn your back on us.... We're your friends you idiot! Zeph smirked, enjoying the frustration and angst she'd built up- like a flood gate.
Friends. Friends? He chuckled slightly, slowly making his way over to her.
Cassie, Cassie, Cassie. Poor, oblivious, Cassie. Zeph said, tauntingly, circling around her, like a shark- close to her, but not making contact.
You were never friends, you were- He spoke slowly and clearly, and then whispered to her.
-A game. A test. You are nothing. He concluded, with a false, dry, empathy.
Zephyrus... Why won't you come back? Cassie said, filled with sadness and other emotions.
Zeph stopped circling her, snickering.
suddenly, he was directly in front of Cassie, his cold, amused eyes observing her current state.
Zeph's gone? Oh, Cassie. He never left.Don't you get it, or have you forgotten?I am Zeph. The real Zeph. He took note of her reaction, as a look of realization spread grimly across his face.
You clueless idiot. It's true, isn't it? Zeph said, followed by a dark laugh.
Oh, this is spec-tacular.Zeph leaned in close to Cassie, staring right into her eyes.
you love him. He said, taunting her, knowing how seeing the face of someone she cared for, twisted in this way would torture her behind this facade.
You've grown to care for him, and you don't even know why. You just haven't figured out what's so...familiar. Zeph said, still softly.
Well- guess what? He whispered, lingering inches front of her face.
He might have loved you, too. A sinister, pleased grin masqueraded upon his face as a fake, empathetic frown for a period of time.
Too bad I'm making him kill the only person he loves. Zeph said, gently wiping away a cold tear from her cheek, no longer making any effort to disguise the obscure darkness in his amusement.
He knew the pain seeing such a twisted familiarity would cause her, and Zeph somewhere deep down.
Meanwhile, during that.
Shia layed unconcious, on the cold, hard, ground.
Shia... Shia.... A voice echoed around her mind.
Shia...Shia...It's time to wake up, Shia......
Shia! At that, Shia regained conciousness, with a start.
Though something wasn't quite right.
She could feel something- caught in her throat.
