Amberstar looked over to Windflight once she was mentioned, "This is my warrior, Windflight" he meowed, he looked over to the other leader, dipping his head as a greeting but let them have their conversation.

"I was also the second cat to join Badgerclan" she meowed proudly, it felt strange to be standing with the leaders filling in the "deputy" spot, she didn't care though and stood straight.

"My leader is Amberstar, the tabby tom talking with those 2 other leaders" he meowed, he didn't really feel like Windflight belonged with the leaders, as she wasn't even deputy material.. but he wasn't going to go up there and make his first impression to all the leaders, "I think that cat isn't supposed to be there!"

"Thank you, Mintstar." Raggedtail mewed, dipping his head respectively. "I have no idea how to be as good of a leader as Squirrelstar was. She held us all together and led us through so much. I can't imagine Echoclan without her."

Brindlecloud closed her eyes, breathing in Appleheart's scent. She nodded sadly at her words, but knew she would never forgive herself. "How are things in Leafclan? Is Tawnykit alright?"

Crowpaw nodded sadly. "None of the cats in Echoclan know Echoclan without her." He mewed. "I feel horrible, I can't even imagine how her mate and family are taking it." He mewed, looking over his shoulder to where Beestripe, Acornfall and Wrenleap were. The black tom watched them for a moment before turning his attention back to Crowcloud.

"Is Forestclan doing well?"

Gorsebird looked over when she felt a tom settling down next to her. She tilted her head curiously when she noticed that the tom had little, if any, fur. Despite his nearly hairless body, Gorsebird felt a little drawn to the tom. "I'm Gorsebird of Echoclan." She mewed, her bushy tail curling over her paws. "I haven't seen you before, is this your first gathering?"

Snakepaw smiled happily, his tail starting to wag excitedly like a dog. "Really?! That's great!" He cooed, touching his nose to Acornclaw's cheek. "I haven't gotten my warrior name yet but I should soon." He mewed. "What did you have to do for your assessment?"

Noticing that Skystar's attention seems to be on another leader as well, Lilystar hesitated on the idea on following, wasn't this a bit to many cats...? Mentally sighing to herself as she followed to introduce herself to the other Leader?.. er... Warrior? She wasn't to sure herself, "Hello... I'm Lilystar..." She left out the 'Of Cherryclan' on purpose, she pointed her tail in the direction of Oakstar, "Over there is Oakstar, and she probably wants to talk to me... bye?" Quickly but quietly she turned and padded away, clearly not wanting to talk to so many cats, none the less leaders at once. "Oakstar! What was that about being allies, sorry I took so long!" She called, still in a quiet whisper as she padded lightly over to the dark brown leader.

Birchnose wandered at the edge of the deputies' crowd, before finding a cat sitting alone on the outskirts of the crowd. She padded up to the other, who was revealed to be a molly according to her scent and sat down next to her. "Hello," she said politely. "I'm Birchnose of Forestclan. And you are?"

So she did have a family, thought Crowcloud, eyes softening. He wondered for a moment what Forestclan would be like without Honeystar. She had been the one to bring them all together, the one to give them a home, the one to give them a family. The clan would miss her when she was gone. That was a given.

"Forestclan is doing..." Crowcloud sighed. "Dawnstorm and Grayfur died a few moons ago, while Acornstream and Bramblebush may follow close behind. There was a badger attack and we're lucky that the apprentices all made it out safely. But," he said hurriedly, trying to rush past the painful topic, "prey is running well."

Applenose had to think for a moment before answering Cloudmask. "Well," he said, "I really love hide-and-seek in the snow. We have several patched and white cats, and they always love showing off how well they can hide. We've also had a few snow battles, where we'd go into two teams--and each has a pile--and try to destroy the other team's snow pile."

Dandeliontail noticed a tom from another clan walking towards the clearing, and he wondered if he should go meet the other. It was his first Gathering, and Daisywhisker had stayed back with Briarwhisker (who everyone was sure would become his mate soon), both to mourn and to let those who hadn't experienced the Gathering too many times go. Well, this was a time to meet those from other clans, the warrior thought, so why not?

Dandeliontail padded up to the tom, tail twitching with nervousness. "Umm, hello?" he said quietly. "I-I'm Dandeliontail of Forestclan. What's your name?"

Hillfang's tail twitched in time with her heartbeat, which had risen all of a sudden. Juniperpelt's voice was kind and it sounded...well...adorable. She found herself rapidly growing to like the tom. "I haven't heart of Pineclan before," she said apologetically. "Is it new? But then, there are just so many clans!"

Nour had been wandering through the crowd, looking for someone to catch his eye. A molly who had been staying around the edges looked interesting, and he went over to talk to her.

Tipnose dragged her brother over to a pair of warriors who smelled familiar. Probably a border clan, thought Tippnose. Ummm, Leafclan? Caveclan? Gustclan? The two warriors were leaning against each other, seemingly happy to simply watch the Gathering.

"Hi," said Tippnose boldly. "I'm Tippnose of Forestclan."

"And I'm Patchloud," her brother grumbled. "Her littermate." He wondered where his sister's boldness had come from. Perhaps it was from passing the assessments. She had lost her shyness shortly after becoming a warrior, and now rivaled Brightfang in chattiness.

"What're your names?" Tipcloud asked cheerily.

foxstar led his clan-mates down a hill to enter the gathered crowd of cats. there was fewer mapleclaners attending this gathering, and one of them was even a kit. but much to his mother's disapproval, the little fogkit had to come along. he was the only cat to fully understand frostnose's signing. starting to piece together a speech for the announcements in his mind, the ginger tom hopped onto the leader's rock and sat down comfortably near it's middle.

briarleap walked through the crowd of cats with a seemingly unperturbed calm. she sat down in the deputy group, alone in a corner, not saying a word. she curled her tail over her paws and continued her endless reflection on recent events in her clan, completely unaware of her surroundings.

frostnose didn't hear the pineclan apprentice approach, but noticed her presence when fogkit jumped upwards. he couldn't quite figure out what she said, but fogkit translated her greeting with a discreet tail twitch. he continued to sign what they were saying, and the white tom touched his nose with the tip of his tail to introduce himself.

fogkit nearly leaped all the way to starclan as a cat spoke to him. startled, the tabby looked up to see a small tortoiseshell shyly returning eye-contact. she seemed nice enough. "hello. i'm fogkit, and he's..." the tom smiled as the medicine cat finished his sentence for him. "...frostnose. we're both from mapleclan. who are you?"

“You don't have anyone in your clan yet,” Oakstar winced. It sounded bad the way she said it. “and my clan is small. Plus, we're border clans. Maybe it's too much to ask, but... Would you like to allie? I mean, we have a harsh winter coming up. I forgot to do hunt patrols. Food is scarce. Maybe we could hunt in each otjer’s territory, raid clans if we are desperate. Then there's Forest fires in the summer. We could help each other during those times. And then there's clans attacking us. We are stronger, both of us, together. what do you think about doing an Allie thing?”

“Unfortunately no.” Morningstar replied. “Willowtail, the cat who first scented Leafclan didn’t know them well enough to pick out any particular cat and the patrol sent to check it out found the scent too faded to pick out specific individuals.” He told her. “Recalling the incident with Leafclan earlier, I have to admit, I’d like to blame Frigidrose but unfortunately there’s no real proof she caused this.”

The pair sat close together, Harespring’s dark grey fur and Juniperfoot’s tabby pelt pressed together as the pair enjoyed each other’s company. It had been several moons since they’d become mates and they were enjoying every moment. Except, perhaps, Shimmerpelt’s nagging. Shimmerpelt knew the pair eventually wanted kits but not so soon. Even so, she continued to ask them whenever she got the chance about it. Any mercy they got meant Shimmerpelt was talking to Sedgetail about becoming mates with Burrwhisker. And even though they felt for Sedgetail, both Juniperfoot and Harespring we’re relieved to have a bit of time alone together. Purring softly, they observed the gathering, one eye kept on the apprentices, since they’d promised Thymepool they’d help watch them.

Cloudmask is reserved for Applenose(Forestclan)

Mischief glimmered to life in the molly’s eyes. “We play hide and seek in the snow too. Leaf-bare’s pretty much our season,” She purred, remarking on his commentary about pale furred cats. “Our pelts make it easier to blend in. Makes hunting and hiding easier.” The molly was tabby and white but her fur was primarily the pale snowy white that made it so easy to blend in with the snow. “Lilystem, the only one of us with a coat of pure white adores leaf-bare. She’s in the nursery with her kits but she’s taken them out to play in the snow a couple of times. Her daughter Laurelkit, took after her in both her pelt and love of the snow. Toadkit, who’s a tabby like his father, was quite fond of the snow too. Alderkit and Splashkit, however, weren’t quite so thrilled about the cold I think.” Cloudmask purred, amusement lighting her eyes. She loved kits, and not having been able to see her own two had had an interesting affect on her, driving the molly to the nursery to help the queens care for their kits. Some queens were quite protective of their kits but Lilystem and Larkfeather were grateful for the extra help.

The silver tabby tom led the way, the grey and white molly behind him. Their small size made it easy for the pair to slip through the mass of cats and make their way to a spot on the edge of the clearing. “There! Now we can find someone to talk to.” Mintpaw said, scanning the clearing. Eyes landing on a ginger tom who looked to be around similar ages, Mintpaw and Spottedpaw approached. “Hello!” The tom’s scent revealed that he was from Mapleclan, one of their border clans. “I’m Mintpaw and this is Spottedpaw. We’re Caveclanners.”

In her Clan, naming a cat Pine wasn't very acceptable in their standards, maybe it was the same for them? The white leader nodded, of course, with the threat of other larger clans, and the fact Oakclan was a border clan, it would make sense to ally, flicking her tail softly to detract herself from negative thoughts, as some actions could have terrible consequences. Moving her thoughts to more positive things, she had her answer. "Yes, I would be grateful to have an ally." Lilystar answered, trying to keep her voice strong. She turned her head towards the direction of the other leaders, the leaders of strong clans, the leaders... They have their own problems! Don't worry. Pushing those thoughts away she continued looking at them, waiting for Oakstar's reply.
