It was almost unbelievable thinking the ginger molly had lost her life forever, and to think she would no longer see her friendly face at gatherings was deeply disheartening. She couldn't begin to imagine how Raggedtail must have felt, she wondered if he felt as lost without Squirrelstar as she was with Shadowstar. " ...I don't know what to say. Asphodelface was quiet as he sat by himself among the main crowd of cats, this was his first gathering and if he was being honest, he really had no idea what to do. He was a little self-conscious over how he'd come across to other cats, he was born a rogue after all, but he didn't take much pride in his birth like his good friend Larkclaw did and unlike him, Asphodelface wanted be seen as a Clan cat. His blue eyes scanned the clearing, looking eyes with another molly before her attention was taken by a pale silver tom. She was very pretty, he noted, a lot more eye-catching than any of the mollies in PineClan that was for sure.

As she fretted over all these scenarios, she bumped right into Snakepaw and let out a surprised gasp as she saw him. " A-ah! Hello Snakepaw, I uh, got my warrior name recently. " Acornclaw meowed awkwardly, burning in embarrassment over her flustered behavior. Now she was worried if she was acting too meek, she never liked anyone to see her this way, she wanted to be seen as a confident cat. " I'm Acornclaw now. " She said, trying to regain her composure.

She lazily relaxed on the highstone, stretched out and observant. Although Moorclan steadily grew and grew, Fritillarystar was reluctant to let their numbers be known to others. The tortoiseshell didn't want to bring another warrior along, not even her own deputy, and was content to let the others speculate the size of her clan while they remained hidden away in the hills. Flicking her tail to and fro, the dark-furred molly listened to the babble of the leaders. Some were old, while others were freshly new and after a tremendous yawn, Fritillarystar deigned to take advantage of this.


Getting to her paws, Fritillarystar elegantly approached one of the newer leaders. ''Pardon my interruption, but I've never seen you around before.'' She titled her head thoughtfully. ''You're new here right?'' (Lionstar)

Skystar suddenly heard some mewing next to him, and turned to see a new leader upon the crowded rock. As she introduced herself, he heard the nervousness in her voice. He smiled sympathetically, knowing how she felt. However, he did not feel nervous with the sky above him, so he replied confidently, "I am Skystar of CloudClan, nice to meet you Lilystar," He saw another leader hovering nearby as if they were waiting for Lilystar. "Are you a new leader as well? This is my first gathering." His clover green eyes scanned her face for a moment. He really wanted to look up and see the stars again. "Sky's bright, isn't it?" He blurted out suddenly, followed by a stifled purr of amusement as he realized he couldn't help talking about the sky.

"Would you like to be allies? Seeing as our clans share a border it would be helpful." He smiled, feeling like he was chatting with a member of his clan. He let off his guard. "my clan is still quite small as well, I mean I only have a medicine cat and a queen so far..." He trailed off, realizing what he had just done. "But my clan is still strong!" He insisted, slightly offended by how he had let some information out so easily and they weren't even officially allies. His tail fluffed up.

Cloudyspots nodded. It was quite strange for her, and with so many leaders.... She wasn't sure what to make of it."Hmm. Who's your clan's leader by the way? The leader of my clan is Skystar." She said quietly, remembering that Skystar had told her not to reveal too much or get in trouble. Suddenly, she felt like someone was watching her, and saw the tom she had seen earlier(and had wanted to talk to). She smiled, despite the fact that her pelt had fluffed up a bit with embarrassment. Cloudyspots then edged closer to him, thinking he looked interesting to talk to.

foxstar led his clan-mates down a hill to enter the gathered crowd of cats. there was fewer mapleclaners attending this gathering, and one of them was even a kit. but much to his mother's disapproval, the little fogkit had to come along. he was the only cat to fully understand frostnose's signing. starting to piece together a speech for the announcements in his mind, the ginger tom hopped onto the leader's rock and sat down comfortably near it's middle.

briarleap walked through the crowd of cats with a seemingly unperturbed calm. she sat down in the deputy group, alone in a corner, not saying a word. she curled her tail over her paws and continued her endless reflection on recent events in her clan, completely unaware of her surroundings.

frostnose hopped over to the medicine cat group, unable to hold most of his excitement at bay. this was his first gathering, and he understood why most cats said gatherings were big events for clans. he could not hear the chatter of cats through his deaf ears, but he could feel the vibrations of paw steps in every direction. fogkit seemed rather bewildered at all this agitation, so frostnose signed to ask him if he was okay. the small grey tabby answered with a shaky nod.

The light ginger-pelted cat soon found himself in the company of another tom, this one with fluffy, barred fur and eyes like fine amber specimens. Lionstar noticed this cat was younger, in the very prime of his life, and felt relief wash over him for the fact that leaders were given nine lives by Starclan.

"Umm, hello there! I understand how having a small clan is, I only have a warrior and a medicine cat so far", the other leader said.

"Hey there, I'm Lionstar. And would this lady beside you be your warrior or medicine cat?" Lionstar smiles at them both and rushes into his next sentence, beginning to feel at ease now that he is making some friends. Perhaps this won't be so hard after all. "So far I am the only one in my clan, I have not seen anyone else since the sandstorm, but I am hoping to find some nomads out in the desert."

He is still speaking when he hears a greeting from beside him. ''Pardon my interruption, but I've never seen you around before. You're new here right?'' Turning, he finds himself faced with lively large green eyes, and a tortoiseshell female who appears to have come to the gathering alone, like himself.

"Yes," he answers, "this is my first gathering as a leader. To be honest I do not remember the names and faces of anyone here, if indeed they are the same cats from my younger years, but that was a time ago." He stretches to emphasize the last bit.

He is too polite to ask her where her clan Is, if indeed there are others. He appreciates that no one has put him on the spot and for the first time he wonders why his clan had always been so reclusive, and whether he would choose the same lifestyle for his clan now or try to be more welcoming.

"Clayclan actually; Beechclan doesn't exist anymore." Claywhistle shifted uncomfortably besides Resinstar and the leader shot him an apologetic look. He knew it wasn't easy for the tom, unable to be seen or talk to anyone but him and not knowing if his family was alright or not; he didn't need the constant reminder that his clan was gone too. "I'm sorry," he murmured under his breath. Almost immediately his faded friend seemed to perk up. "Don't you go crying over spoiled prey- it's a gathering. You're supposed to have fun! Make friends with you neighbors. Now Leafclan, what do I remember about them?" The warrior kept up a running commentary in Resinstar's ear, recounting everything he knew about Leafclan and a couple unrelated stories besides. "But it's nice to meet you Foxpounce. And nah, I've got the inside scoop that talking with warriors is way more interesting. So what's been going on in the forest? I'm new so I have so many questions."

Skystar suddenly looked around, and saw what appeared to be a new warrior running towards the gathering rock while Meadowfern tried to follow, pained expressions on both cat's faces. He purred with amusement at the funny scene, and then decided to consult them. "Hello?" he asked, wondering if they were a leader or a warrior. Skystar looked at Meadowfern relaxed posture but scared face and accidentally let out another purr. "I'm Skystar, the leader of CloudClan. Are you a new leader or a warrior?" He asked, eyes filled with amusement.
