Lucien quickly mounted the horse with a huff, then glanced towards Sigma. Once she was close enough, he reached out and picked her up, setting her down behind him. He awaited her to take hold, so that they could move quickly. He wanted to get to the Fort by tonight.

[Falls]

Sigma wrapped her arms around Lucien and laid her head on his back as usual. Her heart was still beating quite loudly from their tussle and she could feel it pounding against Lucien's back as she held on to him. She tightened her legs against Shadowmere's sides and winced. Her muscles were very sore from all the riding.

Lucien could hear and feel Sigma's heart pounding, and he gave a grin. With that, he tapped Shadowmere, and the mare took off on a gallop once again.

Lucien had slowed Shadowmere into a walk as the Fort came into view from the trees. The large, stone Fort looked abandoned, though the real workings were beneath the ground. He stopped outside of the Fort, giving a sigh. Vicente would be inside.

Sigma looked up as Lucien slowed, momentarily jerking her head to one side to flip the hair out of her face. "That's it? It looks rather... old." She was silent for a moment before speaking up again. "I'm hungry." It was for this reason and more that she wanted to get inside soon and finally be rid of this horse. Her legs were trembling from weary exhaustion and her tongue was a little dry from lack of water.

Lucien gave a huff. "If you'd let go of my torso, we could dismount and go inside." he grumbled, flicking his eyes down as Shadowmere gave a snort, pawing at the grass below and swishing her tail irritably.

Sigma frowned. "Gladly," she snapped, sitting up and giving Lucien's back an annoyed shove in the process. She slid off of Shadowmere and started towards the fort without waiting for him, her bare feet making minimal noise against the ground as she walked.

Lucien's eyes widened as she went for the first door. He hopped off Shadowmere, rushing towards her. "No, no, no, don't go through that door!" he shouted to her, making sure she would hear. "There are only booby traps that direction." he huffed, then stopped.

Why in the hell was he warning her?

Sigma stopped dead in her tracks and crossed her arms, peeved at the whole world at the moment. Stupid Lucien, stupid fort, stupid freaking booby traps... wait, what? "Traps? Are you serious?" she asked, glancing back at Lucien with an annoyed scowl. "Great, now I've stepped into some sort of spy movie. Booby traps. Honestly now. Alright, Mr. Bond, where's the secret safe passageway, hm?" she asked sarcastically.

Lucien gave a glare. "Follow me." he snarled, turning on his heel and walking up the hill. He trudged on rather angrily, his fists clenched as he huffed to himself. Once up the hill, he made a turn, going over to a hollow tree. Within the hollow tree, there was a steel, hatch door, leading downwards. He bent down, unlocking it and waiting for Sigma.

Sigma followed Lucien up the hill and to the tree, stopping there and looked up at Lucien with an eyebrow arched. "...You know, I was kidding about the secret passageway..." she said, her voice calm and a little incredulous. She wrapped her arms around herself and looked hesitantly down at the opening.
