"Dawnflower of Briarclan, though I am far from the territory." The molly admitted kindly. "I didn't mean to trespass but I heard a hiss of pain and had to check it out and make sure all was okay." The molly moved closer to the tom and noticed that his scent was almost sweet. She looked at his paw before backing up a little "Are you hunting out here?" she asked to start up a conversation.

"Don't worry about trespassing, I don't think Mousestar won't mind as long as you aren't taking prey. And yes, I am hunting." He smiled, wrapping his tail over his paws. He realized he probably shouldn't be speaking to a cat from another clan when it was so close to the gathering but he didn't want to seem rude after her kindness.

The wind rushed about her, howling and tugging at her skinny frame. The young tortoiseshell hadn't really gotten many opportunities to explore Moorclan's rolling hilltops and with her new rank, she took both the opportunity to gather herbs and explore the furthest border; the border where dark pine trees loomed and tossed cones onto the muddy ground below. Scents of cat came faintly trickling into her nose on a gentle breeze, alerting her to the presence of another clan. Fritillarystar needs to know; she'll want to know. Smallwhisker reminded herself and stepped as close to the border as she dared, toes touching the invisible line that separated the two clans. Squinting into it's murky depths, Smallwhisker found it reminded herself faintly of her birthclan; mired in time and experience, but nevertheless the crowded spaces and the towering monoliths beckoned Smallwhisker forward and forward she went.

Dawnflower shook her head "Oh goodness no. I might be trespassing but I know a clan's scent when I come across one. And I do not want to be the one to stir up trouble." The molly chuckled. "I do hope prey is running well in your territory though, and maybe you can get you paw seen by a medicine cat, just in case?" she purred with kindness. "I'm out here because it has become a little crowded in Briarclan, so many kits are running around." Dawnflower smiled "Cute but they are becoming troublesome."

"Ah yes, kits are a pawful. Good enough reason. Hopeclan has a few but they're too young to cause trouble." He purred. "So what is it like being in a big clan? Hopeclan is fairly small, there's about the same amount of warriors as there is kits!" He chuckled, wondering what Mousestar would do when it came to assigning mentors.

Dawnflower took a second to think about an answer "It has it's benefits and it's downsides. Like with so many cats around to protect us then we don't really have to worry of dangers. But the clan is not whole. Like cats stay to their groups of friends, so if you find that you are not in a group then you are left out." She meowed sadly. "I wish Briarclan was smaller, not really small but smaller. I lost count on how many cats are in the clan and the nursery is just blooming with kits." She chuckled.
"I find that we have to hunt all the time just to find enough prey for every cat." She added.

Being a warrior brought a lot of freedom the young molly relished in, it was relieving to know that the difficult moons of training were over, and that she was now acknowledged as a competent warrior instead of a clumsy apprentice. Yet there were times Orchidnose missed having her mentor at her side and even now felt insecure without someone supervising her as she calmly padded through the woods, freckles of snow decorating her gray pelt as they fell from the trees and a cold breeze blowing through the area. Orchidnose paused as the faint scent of cat coming from the northwest flooded her senses, it didn't seem to belong to one in particular, but rather likely a whole Clan she was unaware of. Intrigue edged her forward, though she told herself that letting Mintstar know of this new Clan would be beneficial to their own knowledge; it felt a lot more serious then admitting she was merely curious.

He frowned. "That's a lot like Hopeclan... We are all very close but no one has proper friends. We are always hunting and even then we are still hungry, due to half the clan being made up of kits and medicine cats who can't help hunt." He sighed. "Also quite a few cat's are a bit old, like me, Mousestar and Nightglow, so we aren't as fit as the younger cats. Clan life is actually tougher than I expected. When I was a loner I just stayed clear of other cat's and only had to hunt for myself but I wouldn't change a thing. It's nice fitting in..."

Dawnflower nodded "Even though I am not to involved with my clan mattress I so love my clan. " she smiled. "I better get back though. Maybe I will see you at the gathering Birchnose?"
