"Amazing!" He beamed, emerald green eyes wide. "Two queens have just had their kits and one apprentice is just about prepared to be a warrior! Unfortunately we found Squirrelpaw of Asterclan at the border. He said his clan had been destroyed..." He shook his head clear. "Prey is running well though, which is useful when you have seven kits running around!"

Nightglow dipped her head in greeting. "I'm Nightglow of Hopeclan. My clan has a few bordering clans but I patrol your border the most." She purred kindly. She usually got irritated with other cats, even here clanmates sometimes, but she didn't mind this tom.

Spiderstar:
Spiderstar entered the clearing with his cats, looking around. He wasn't really looking forward to telling the other leaders about what had happened... "be careful!" he told the apprentices before leaving and going to the big rock at the center of the clearing. He jumped up and looked around at the other leaders. They were a bit late.

Ashpaw:
Ashpaw watched Spiderstar leave, then started making her way the the group of medicine cats. Was there a group of medicine cat apprentices somewhere? The young cat looked around either a worried look. She saw Honeyear go towards the deputy group, and shivered violently. He scared her so much!

Honeyear: As they arrived in the clearing, Honeyear barely acknowledged Spiderstar and walked towards the group of deputies, standing straight. This was his place, now. A smile curled the former is his mouth.

Fuzzypaw and Firepaw: Firepaw and Fuzzypaw, who had been spending more time together recently, stayed together as they entered the clearing. It was both cats first time and they were a bit worried at how many cars there were... Fuzzypaw couldn't help but think she would have loved to come here for the first time with her mother...

Brambleburr: Brambleburr looked around, smiling. This place definitely looked very interesting! So many cats, too. Wanting to meet cats, Brambleburr started walking into the group, the more king around got someone to talk to.

Spotting a lonesome leader, Fritillarystar smiled politely as she strode up to the loner. ''I'm Fritillarystar, leader of the prosperous Moorclan; and you are?'' She murmured, dipping her head respectfully. She didn't know who she was talking to; it was Emberstar of Leafclan.

Dawnpool

Dawnpool lazily flicked an ear in acknowledgement of Fritillarystar's warning; she never was going to say anything that might endanger her comrades, they were far too dear to her. Watching the patched fur of her leader disappear into the crowd, Dawnpool strode elegantly in the opposite direction. Wandering calmly through the throng of babbling warriors, Dawnpool looked around coolly for a conversation partner. But who'd do the job to interest her? Sighing, Dawnpool sat down and decided to just let whomever had their eye caught by her approach her. (Brambleburr?)

"Oh, that sounds excellent! So many kits.. Gorseclan has a few kits of it's own, one of them almost ready to become an apprentice." She purred, smiling at the thought of her prospering clan. Her expression fell slightly, looking to the side. "Asterclan wasn't the only clan destroyed it seems. Most of the cats currently in Gorseclan are from other disbanded clans." She nodded to Mousestar once again, chuckling slightly. "Yes, the prey is running well for us too!"

Batwing was feeling a little more restless today. Maybe it was the incoming chill getting to the thin-coated tom, or just the energy of the gathering working him up. Either way, he decided to work off his energy by pacing around the clearing, perhaps doing a little people-watching as he walked. He got up and trotted away at a quick pace.

Charredfern sat on the energies of the medicine cat clearing, grooming his smoky fur. He often tried to smile and show his clan pride, but sometimes it was a little hard. He was aware that he stuck out awkwardly in the group, just like his wrenched leg sitting painfully beside him. But he wouldn't let it put a damper on his mood, so he sat up tall and put on an extra friendly grin, scanning around to group to find someone to talk to.

Hareflight smirked, replying happily. "Best fisher, eh? That's quite a title." He puffed out his chest, taking a moment to brag. "Well, I'm one of the fastest runners in Gorseclan. Few can beat these paws!" He snickered, patting the ground with his forepaws to emphasize. Hareflight nodded at Oaksplash's next statement, glancing over his shoulder at the surrounding cats. "Yes, there are an awful lot of new cats here. I'm fine with it really, I like seeing all the new faces."

Blossomstep chuckled softly at the younger molly's rambling. She quickly stopped herself, smiling apologetically. "Talking a little quickly, are we now? But don't worry about it, I heard you." She sat up straight and replied. "Now, Gorseclan's territory is a nice grassy field. Lots of rabbits and mice run around in the grasses and nibble on the seeds. But it is kind of dangerous, because of the horses that run around! But the gathering isn't all that far away. Not anymore than a day away, but it's still quite the trip."

Cinderfall didn't like gatherings. The timid she-cat had hidden herself in the surrounding underbrush as soon as it started to get busy, scrunching into herself and trying to get as invisible as possible. It worked pretty well, no one had as much spared her a glance, but she couldn't help but feel a little sad. She knew Orchidstar told her to get out there, and introduce herself, but it just wasn't that easy. She sighed, and nestled further into her grey fur, whispering to herself promises of a next time.

Greydusk still felt a little bitter here. The grey tom knew he shouldn't continue to dwell on the loss of Rainclan. But it just loomed over him like an angry storm cloud, (pun intended,) refusing to give way. Whenever he looked up at the leader's rock, an unpleasant little voice would hiss in his ear, "You should be up there. You should still be leader. It's all their fault." He had to ignore it, and so he slipped away from the gathering. Slipping away to sulk in the bushes, and silently curse the stars for his misfortune.

The tired leader sat alone at the edge of the group, blankly gazing around the clearing. She knew she was giving a poor impression, but couldn't bring herself to sit up straight and look proud. It was certainly going to take her a while to recover after all the drama. Often she lay awake at night, pondering whether she did the right thing by demoting Ashenclaw, or if Webfang's death really was a murder. Her appearance definitely gave away her mental weariness. Her ears perked up a little when a tortoiseshell approached and introduced herself. "Greetings," Emberstar mewed, a bit quieter than the other leader. "I'm Emberstar, leader of LeafClan. How are things in your Clan?"

The spotted tabby tom padded alongside Ottershade for a little while near the edge of the clearing. The younger warrior never liked the large crowds at Gatherings, so Falconchaser had decided to give him some company. Out of the corner of his eye, he thought he could pick out a grey pelt among the underbrush. After mewing a goodbye to Ottershade, he padded toward the area and found it to indeed be a cat - GorseClan by the scent of it. "Well, what might you be doing there, hiding, at a Gathering?" he chuckled.

The tabby-and-white young warrior padded a bit cautiously near the edge of the clearing. She was considering not engaging in conversation with any other cats - though she absolutely loved the idea of meeting cats from other Clans - because she didn't want to upset Frigidrose anymore than she had earlier that day. It certainly didn't feel right, being all gloomy and unsocial. But when someone mewed a cheerful greeting to her, her bubbly, friendly personality returned. "Hi there! I'm Tansypatch. It's nice to meet another cat with the suffix 'patch.' No one in LeafClan has it," she chuckled. "Oh, this is my first Gathering, too. Really exciting! What Clan are you from?"

Cheerfully Fernpaw trotted through the crowds, mewing hellos here and there, and stopped when she spotted what seemed to be two apprentices - and orange tabby and a fluffy black cat. "Hello!" she chirped, padding quickly toward them. "I'm Fernpaw, an apprentice of LeafClan. Who are you two?"

Squirrelstar dipped her head in greeting to Lionheart. "Echoclan is doing well, not much has happened. I'm glad things have started to get boring." She laughed. "If things are boring, then nothing bad is happening."

The she-cat looked out over the other Clan cats. "Beestripe should be here soon. Her and Strawberrypatch had to go back to camp. Mossvine's kits tried to sneak out after our gathering group left."

Beestripe looked up when she heard Lionheart's voice. She laughed, rolling her eyes as she squeezed between two senior warriors from another Clan. "It won't be a normal occurrence. Goosekit and Koikit were the masterminds behind the sneaking out plan, they dragged poor Silverkit with them." She laughed before dipping her head in greeting to her mother.

the ginger and white tom led his clan to the gathering place and gave his mate a quick nuzzle before jumping onto the leader's rock. he watched her walk over to the deputy group, sadness seizing his heart. even after a few moons, briarleap still couldn't get over the death of her son, she thought it was all her fault. foxstar sat silently on the rock, not knowing his face reflected all his thoughts.

Emberstar looked very disheveled to Fritillarystar and she couldn't help but wonder if it were really worth talking to such a scruffy looking leader. Flicking her tail quietly to and fro, the tortoiseshell nodded briskly at the inquiry to her clan. ''It's fine; what about yours?'' She murmured. ''I cannot help but notice just how tired you look.'' Fritillarystar may have looked sympathetic to the untrained eye, but there was a faint glimmer of disdain shimmering in her pale green eyes. The troubles of Leafclan were evidently of no concern to the proud leader.

Smiling charmingly at the other molly, Dawnpool dipped her head respectfully and gracefully curled her long tail around her lithe paws. Noting the other cat's strong accent, the lilac warrior wondered if the stranger was from far away; it'd explain the odd accent. ''Hello, what's your name?'' She murmured, her voice soft and gentle like a dove's feather. ''I'm Dawnpool of Moorclan.''
