loststar growled low in his throat and turned to follow nightglows eyes. he walked forwards, his head high and his eyes gleaming with anger. he stopped in front of the two cats conversing and asked, "which one of you is the leader of hopeclan?"

wolfstrike wheezed, a smirk growing on his face. "oh, i cannot wait to see my clan-mates come back to camp with your blood on their claws." he taunted, his skinny tail waving in the air. this was the most fun he had in moons, and he was hoping to bait the molly more.

thistlepaw heard loststar mention her and sat up straight, her ears perked up. she would never forget his face as he fought tooth and nail, a snarl on his muzzle even as he took his last breath. to see him walking around again...it was amazing for the molly, almost as if she was in the presence of the Dark Forest itself.

Mintstar felt as if her head was in a million different places at once, so many scents and meows clouded her mind as she struggled to focus on a single thing as more and more cats began to fill up the clearing. She briefly heard the agitated mews coming towards where the medicine cats were gathered, but before she could see what the commotion was (and to check if her own medicine cat Weaselstorm was the source of it) a more familiar cat stood out from the crowd. Mintstar began to relax ever so slightly as Tempeststar made his way over, nodding her head respectfully in greeting. "It's good to see you again too, Tempeststar." She mewed, glad to be in the company of one of her allies. "We've been well, one of our own had a litter of three recently." Her smile was a little more strained then she wanted it to be, but she wasn't exactly comfortable mentioning that two of the said litter were stillborn.

Rowanpelt felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted off his back upon hearing all his kits were born healthy, though he couldn't help but feel hurt that there was no way of being by Velvetrabbit's side without exposing their relationship or being unable to see his kits until they were all able to come to a Gathering. "And w-what are their names? What do they look like?" He asked, taking any chance of learning of his kits even if the JinxClan deputy couldn't stick around him for too long.

Acornpaw mewed her 'see you laters' to her fellow apprentices before trotting up to one tom in particular, Snakepaw of EchoClan, who was standing nearby with another tom who looked quite similar to him. The young molly struggled to remember if he mentioned having siblings the last time they spoke, but nothing came to mind at the moment. "Hey stranger!" She meowed to Snakepaw, her tail sticking straight up in greeting. "Nice to see you again, and uh, nice to meet you too." She mewed to her acquaintance and his companion.

➜ Badgerstar's eyes twinkled at Mousestar's words. "Wow... that must be so cool! Lionheart says that I have a good connection to Starclan myself, but I'm not so sure. I only see Dovestar when she wants to come to me. I would love to be allies though, that would be gre-" he cut himself off as Loststar loomed above them. His ears flattened minutely, not liking the way that the other tom spoke. "I'm sure it was just a misunderstanding," he piped up, "it could all be cleared up by a conversation."

➜ Goldleaf was no longer interested in what the other medicine cats of the area were like. This grouchy tom starting an argument with two mollies was enough for her to become disinterested in conversation with a whole lot. She got to her feet, planning to disappear back into the crowd where she would hopefully find someone of a more reasonable temperament and much more pleasant company. This argument was for kittens, and Goldleaf was far from being a kitten now.

➜ Lionheart nodded happily at the news that Beestripe had been good, before she glanced toward Badgerstar with a slightly nervous laugh. "Well," she said, "the last time we came to this gathering, Badgerstar was only 18 moons old, and there were just the two of us. I came from a clan before Groveclan, so we decided it would be best if we swapped roles for that gathering so that we wouldn't become a target to some of the meaner or more ambitious clans who might have wanted more territory. Sorry about that. My name is actually Lionheart, it's a pleasure to officially meet you, as myself."

➜ Upon hearing his name, Flintburr started, turning to try and gauge the familiar voice. Upon spotting Freckleheart, his face lit up and he trotted forward to greet the other tom. Though much younger than him, Flintburr had liked Freckleheart before Obsidianclan's dissolution. "Not lost," he replied in his rumbly voice, "simply diverted to another clan. I'm with Groveclan now, what about you?" He paused, looking pained for a bit, before shaking his head. "No I haven't seen anyone else from Obsidianclan. I was actually here looking for Silvermoon, or word of her at least. Have you seen her? I don't know where she or our kits- Halfkit and Sootkit went. It's tearing me apart really, not knowing if they're safe or not."

[ MAPLEFALL - 18 moons - she - warrior - open ]
➜ Maplefall decided to stay with Flowerpaw, making sure the smaller she-cat could keep up. It was their first time at a gathering after all, and Maplefall had never seen so many cats in one place at once. Her tail lifted in glee as she looked around at all the other cats. She wondered if any of them were near her age, or if they were older like Lionheart and Flintburr. She looked around for someone that she could make friends with.

➜ Flowerpaw stuck to Maplefall's side, tightly. There's so many cats... she thought to herself, stomach flip-flopping nervously. Under Lionheart's mentorship, she'd developed more confidence, but it was scary being in a new place with not that many cats she knew. A part of her wished she was still at camp, with the other two apprentices, even if they were quite a decent bit younger than her and didn't make for very good conversation. Crouched next to the calico, the small ginger glanced around at the other cats, looking for anyone who looked remotely how she felt.

brindleclaw watched, her expression dulled in thought, tail twitching as the medicine cat continued to goad nightglow. loststar... she'd never been particularly close to starclan, but even she could feel the toxic, stagnant air about that cat. a formidable foe, indeed--one every clan would have to watch out for. "it would be wise to distance yourself from him, hopeclan cat. he reeks of death, just like that tom. you would do best to avoid them."

a pang of grief lit in freckleheart's chest. dissolved... "no, i haven't seen her." he admitted, remembering all too well the agony of being separated from those he loved. suddenly, though, he brightened, the tip of his tail flicking. "but halfkit! during the flooding when everyone was separated, silvermoon had asked me to carry him. the rain got between us, and i'm not sure what direction she went in, but tigerpaw and i were found by a tempestclan patrol. a queen there has been nursing him, and he's healthy and strong!" freckleheart reassured the tom earnestly.

loststar was appalled, his eyes slowly narrowing even further as the two toms continued to try and make lostclan the ones at fault. "don't let them get away with this. make them regret it." a voice whispered in his ear, as quiet as the breeze. he stood tall, his fresh wounds on proud display. "this was your deputy's doing, mousestar. by darkfangs name, you will regret crossing lostclan." he snarled, stepping closer and closer to the other tom until he was almost touching his nose. he could almost tangibly feel darkfangs fur brushing against his, and knew the Dark Forest would approve of making this clan their official enemy.

"So, if you'll please, leave both Mousestar and I alone, because we don't want to fight. We're quite happy being peaceful and following the gathering code of conduct."
