Tux followed her, almost in a trance. Morningleaf lagged behind, waiting outside the nursery to see if she would be needed at all. She wondered if this was Starclan's way of telling him that more then one mate was a bad thing, but she did not dwell on the thought, because she was sure that Starclan was not that mean.

"Wildpoppy?" Tux asked in a low tone as he gently pushed his way into the dark den.

He smelt his way to his mate and nuzzled into her, "I am so sorry that I was not here!" he said as the tears started to flow down his cheeks.

"It's okay, you're here now." Wildpoppy whimpered, closing her eyes and pressing her nose into his cheek. The tiny calico that was nuzzled against her stomach let out an angry squeak, her tiny paws kneading against Tux's flank. Her fur was sticking up at all angles.

"I didn't name them yet." Wildpoppy whispered.

"Is that so?" He asked curiously, his voice deep with a hint of purr in his expression of interest. He hadn't fully expected anyone to recognize their might so quickly. Then again, he wasn't going to complain, and he certainly wasn't going to let them see that he had a bit of doubt.

"They were correct." Icestar remarked calmly, glancing over to the other leader, the she-cat. "Though you failed to answer the question ; who are you?" He had already introduced himself, though neither cats had actually introduced themselves.

"I think that you should name them all." Tux said as he looked at the two remaining kits happily.

He saw that one kit was black and white, like him, but had it's mother bob tail. He knew that that kit was going to be a handful. Even though the kit had an odd stripe along her back leg, the only thing he could think of as he looked at it was of the night sky streaked with clouds.

"I... I wanted to name the oldest Talonkit." Wildpoppy mewed, looking up at Tux. "He looked like this one, he just had more white than black on his pelt." Her whiskers twitched slightly. "He had my bobbed tail." She lowered her head to nuzzle the second born, the other black and white kit. "I was thinking of naming this one Nightkit."

"And I wanted to name the calico Bristlekit. She looks so angry all the time." Wildpoppy mewed with a slight purr. Bristlekit let out a quiet squeak that ended in a hiss.

"Those are the most lovely names i have heard." Tux said, "it is a shame that they will grow up without knowing me."

He sounded even more sad now. He had missed their kitting, would miss their apprentice and warrior ceremonies, and they would grow up never knowing him. As much as he would love to take one, after her losing a kit he would not dream of asking that.

"I am sure that they will grow up to be fine warriors with you mothering them." Tux said as he nuzzled into her cheek and purred softly.

Wildpoppy looked sadly at Tux before looking down at her kits. "Take one." She whispered to him, her voice cracking slightly. She cleared her throat, before nuzzling into Tux's throat. "Take one of our kits and raise them in Jinxclan."

"It'll kill me not to see both of my kits everyday, but I know it'll kill you too. So take one. I can't bear for you to be hurt." Wildpoppy mewed, pulling her back back to look at him.

[ BADGERSTAR - 22 moons - tom - leader - open ]
➜ Excitement ran through Badgerstar's veins as he led his clan toward the gathering. Lionheart and he had decided that tonight he could actually be Badgerstar. He was older now, and they had a bigger clan, so they would be less of a target. As they approached the gathering, Lionheart nudged his shoulder. He flicked his ear toward her, listening to her speak, before nodding. "Of course, Lionheart!" he said, "don't worry, I just want to make friends with some of the other leaders. I'll see you all back here once the gathering is over!" He bounded off, toward the leader's rock, where he knew leaders from the other clans would soon be gathering. He seated himself cheerfully, looking around for anyone he might talk to.

[ GOLDLEAF - 44 moons - she - medcat - open ]
➜ Goldleaf watched the young leader bound off with a shake of her head. She shared a glance with Lionheart, before chuckling and ducking her head away. It had been a while since she'd been to a gathering, but she was familiar with the process. She nodded goodbye to her clanmates, padding toward the area where medicine cats seemed to be gathering, interested to see what the other medicine cats of the area were like.

[ LIONHEART - 43 moons - she - warrior - beestripe ]
➜ As she approached the gathering, Lionheart could feel the nerves starting up again. She bounded forward and nudged Badgerstar. "Just... remember to be careful," she said quietly, "we still don't know many other leaders, and we probably don't want to make any enemies." Badgerstar's reply made her sigh, and she shared a look with Goldleaf, before the clan split off. Lionheart weaved through the crowd, before her eyes fell on a familiar dark tabby pelt. With a smile, she made her way toward Beestripe. She approached her from behind, and gently nudged her flank with her shoulder. "That time was on purpose," she said, "how've you been, Beestripe? It's good to see you again, and Squirrelstar too."

[ FLINTBURR - 58 moons - tom - warrior - looking for silvermoon/kits ]
➜ As the clan split off, Flintburr immediately began to wander through cats, looking for former Obsidianclan warriors. Maybe one of them knew what had happened to his mate and kits. He had no news of Silvermoon or either of his kits, Sootkit and Halfkit. He hoped they were okay, wherever they were, but it would be better for him to be able to see them, or know for certain from a former clanmate that they were okay.

[ MAPLEFALL - 18 moons - she - warrior - open ]
➜ Maplefall decided to stay with Flowerpaw, making sure the smaller she-cat could keep up. It was their first time at a gathering after all, and Maplefall had never seen so many cats in one place at once. Her tail lifted in glee as she looked around at all the other cats. She wondered if any of them were near her age, or if they were older like Lionheart and Flintburr. She looked around for someone that she could make friends with.

[ FLOWERPAW - 9 moons - she - apprentice - open ]
➜ Flowerpaw stuck to Maplefall's side, tightly. There's so many cats... she thought to herself, stomach flip-flopping nervously. Under Lionheart's mentorship, she'd developed more confidence, but it was scary being in a new place with not that many cats she knew. A part of her wished she was still at camp, with the other two apprentices, even if they were quite a decent bit younger than her and didn't make for very good conversation. Crouched next to the calico, the small ginger glanced around at the other cats, looking for anyone who looked remotely how she felt.

Mousestar led his cats into the clearing and looked around "Huh, very few are here yet." He sat down next to Badgerstar. "Greetings."

Nightglow sat where the deputies would sit.

Lily went straight to where the med cats sat.

[Appleblaze and Stormpaw-Both toms-Open]
Appleblaze purred as he looked down at his apprentice. "Don't worry Stormpaw. It's just a gathering where clans meet up and share news." Stormpaw nodded slowly, the young tom anxious about all the cats that would soon arrive.
