ShadowFlight wove through the huge group of cats, his ears pricked for information that might help his clan. He paused suddenly, glancing back at SweetPaw, who had been following him dutifully. "SweetPaw, this is your first gathering, I'm sure that you are eager to explore. Go enjoy yourself." SweetPaw beamed, then disappeared into the crowd.

"Oh, yes, it is," she responded with a slight smile growing on her face. "I'm Emberstar, leader of LeafClan." She was relieved to know that she wasn't the only newbie here. For a moment, she looked around the clearing trying to find the rest of her Clan. Ashenclaw and Patchthorn both had someone to talk to, but she noticed that Willowcloud was standing awkwardly just outside the group of medicine cats. She frowned a bit, hoping that her medicine cat would find a friend. She turned her attention quickly back to the leaders before her.

Ashenclaw nodded. "It's good to meet you, too!" Then he stood there awkwardly for a moment, wracking his brain for a way to continue the conversation. "So, uh ... how are things faring in SmokeClan?"

Willowcloud--- tagged: medicine cats
"Well..." the young medicine cat mewed, "I guess I'll head over there." She gave Ashenclaw a small smile. "Wish me luck," she said with a slight chuckle before nervously stepping through the crowd toward the medicine cats. Some were speaking to each other, some weren't. Suddenly she was frightened, not one to initiate a conversation, so she mumbled a quiet "Hello..." while looking down awkwardly at her paws.

Patchthorn--- tagged: sleetfoot
Patchthorn turned abruptly at the sound of a cat speaking close by. The cat wore a wide grin, immediately making the LeafClan warrior's whiskers twitch in slight amusement. I bet he's going to scare everybody away with that smile. Wait, he's not talking to me, is he?.. Mouse-dung.... "Uh, hello..." he grunted. "Patchthorn, LeafClan."

Leader of Thicketclan

"Our clan is faring well. I've only brought a few of my warriors today, but a couple cats including my deputy were too busy to come." Briarstar mewed, his tail flicking with slight disappointment. He sighed, and continued, "Our forest supports us well." He thought of his territory pridefully, eyeing the black tom beside him carefully. "How is your clan doing Jinxstar?"

"Just wonderfully." She purred, her tail quivering excitedly behind her. The calico smiled, trying to look friendly. She tapped her tail to the spot beside her invitingly, mewing, "Come on!" She glanced at the still silent black and white tom beside her, nudging him gently with a paw. She whispered, "How are you?."

She weighed the options in her mind, before nodding and stating her proposal. "How would you feel about our feverfew for your chamomile?" Her tail had stilled, and she sat calmly. "And about other matters, how are you doing?" She asked, deciding to make an attempt small talk with the fellow medicine cat.

The young leader smiled, a little relived, "I was sure that I would be the only new leader here. It's nice to know that I'm likely not the only one who will be making a fool of myself. I'm not even exactly sure what I'm supposed to do here."

"I would love if you did that." Squirrelstar mewed fondly to Jaystar. "Let me know when you want to come visit and I'll have a patrol wait for you at the border. Some of my young warriors are very hot-headed and might not know you're coming to visit."

She looked over at Sagestar when he came up to her to talk. The ginger she-cat relaxed as she realized that the tom wasn't being hostile towards her. "It's fine. I apologize as well, Sagestar. We should've tried to talk things out without resorting to fighting. Don't take full responsibility, it was both of our faults." Squirrelstar bowed her head to him. "And thank you, I know Otterstream would be pleased to hear you say those words."

Smokespeck and Stagstep linger beneath the Gathering Rock, talking quietly to each other.

"Greetings!" Ramhorn mewed to the medicine cats and their apprentices as they came over to join him and Brindlepaw. "I am Ramhorn, the medicine cat of Echoclan, and this is my apprentice, Brindlepaw."

Mossycreek mewed a goodbye, watching Sheepclaw as she left.

Rosie smiled. "Foxtail was always getting herself into trouble. She always snuck out of our twolegs house to tease the dog in the yard next to ours." She chuckled, her ginger tail curling over her paws. "She's grown up into such a strong she-cat, I'm so proud of her." She purred to Rosepaw.

The blind elder bristled when she heard a cat snarl at her, recognizing the scent of the only Streamclan elder. "Get lost, Flashtail. I have no interest in bickering with you."

Poppypounce hopped eagerly around the clearing, greeting every unfamiliar cat that she saw. "Hi! How are you?! I'm Poppypounce! It's nice to meet you!!" She'd coo before hopping off to the next cat.

Witheredpaw and Pigeonpaw wrestled several tail-lengths away from where Mossycreek and Rosie were sitting.

Luckystar, Eagletalon, Darkmask, and Dawnpaws are open.

Oakstream padded through the crowds of cats. His main task, to find Blacknose of Tumbleclan. Where is she? he thought, bumping right into her!

Rosemask was as eager as Oakstream, or more to find Lizardstripe. She hoped to find him soon, before the gathering starts.

ShadowFlight padded softly around the gathering, weaving from conversation to conversation, attempting to locate a group of fellow deputies, if there was one.

SweetPaw dashed form place to place, in awe of the sheer number of cats that were to be found. She soon began to search for fellow apprentices. "Maybe if I find someone my age, we could practice together!" she said excitedly to herself.

"Oh, that is nice. Sorry to seem presumptious. My clan had a few cats that had to be left behind as well for various reasons." He said, his eyes starting to glitter at the thought of why Willowbolt was left behind.

"Prey is running very well, and we are growing stronger and larger everyday." He responded, thinking of the new litter and Skydapple's kits back at camp.

Brindlethorn jumpe when the cat approached him and started talking.

"Oh, um, hi. my name is Brindlethorn, I am a warrior for Jinxclan. oh, wait, I mean, I am deputy of Jinxclan. Well, temporary deputy, I mean. Our real deputy is currently carrying kit, so i am filling in for her." He hoped that his stammering was not too much for Rainheart.

He looked at his paws for a moment, his pelt burning with embarrassment, before lifting his head to make eye contact with Rainheart, trying to look as dignified as possible.

Velvetrabbit searched for Rowanpelt, but also tried not to make it too obvious. She greated each cat she came across with a respectful nod, but made no move to socialize with any of them.

"Hello, my name is Flintshade of Jinxclan." he said, hoping his discomfort with the large number of cats around did not show.

Barkclaw smiled at her response, very appropriate yet with just enough vague details to leave you wondering.

"That is great, our clan is huge. We have three kits, just welcomed a new litter today, and have another litter on the way!" Tanagerpaw said, showing how obvious it was that she wanted kits.

Barkclaw shook his head at her, a small smile on his face.

"Our prey is running beautifully as well. We will have more the enough to sustain all our members." He said.

Flashtail resisted the urge to attack the elder. It was hard but he managed, only just.

Fogstar turned to Sorrelstar "Hello, Sorrelstar, it's great to meet you. Smokeclan has had quite a few cats join recently, and we'll be having a couple of kits soon!" Fogstar mewed proudly "But anyways, how's Beechclan doing?"

"Oh, hello Frecklepaw! I'm Sandpaw!" the pale ginger she-cat introduced herself and then pointed her tail torwards a dark brown tom "And this is Oakpaw" she mewed. "We're Smokeclan cats." Oakpaw added.

Addertail sat in silence "Well er..." he began trying his best not to sound too awkward "I suppose Smokeclan's alright..." he mewed quietly, not sure of what to say anymore "Um, so... how are things going for Leafclan?"

Rainheart stayed silent for a bit, suprised by Brindlethorn's stammering "Right..." she mewed "Is this your clan's first gathering?" Rainheart changed the subject.
