"Cheer up, Lionheart," he mewed, "we're not that late. Besides, we've never been here before, so it's not like we're in any huge trouble for getting lost." The black tom bounded toward the mass of cats eagerly, excited to mix & mingle and meet new potential friends. He'd never seen so many cats in one place! "You remember what we talked about?" She whispered urgently, and Badgerstar flicked his tail dismissively. "Yeah, yeah, I got it. I'll see you later!" And before she could say anything else, he bounded off into the fray, looking for a new cat to converse with.

The indignance of the she-cat relaxed Lionheart. If she could muster being irritated, then she must be fine. "Well, I'm glad that you're fine, and tougher than you look. I feel like injuring another warrior within minutes of your arrival doesn't make for a particularly fantastic first impression," her voice was flat as she shook her head, mostly at herself. "You don't have to apologize for snapping at me. I'd be worried if you didn't. I note complacency isn't a trait all too common among clan cats." She paused briefly, blinking at the other molly, before replying; "I am Lionstar, of Groveclan. We're new to the area, but we're interested in making friends. I promise you, we don't run into cats all that often."

Tempeststar, Emberstar ) She hadn't imagined one of the two would've called her over, so once Mintstar heard the inviting meow of the black tom she felt the same anxious spike that went down her back that she was unfortunately acquainted with after attending many different Gatherings. Mintstar kept reminding herself it wasn't so bad, she should be grateful that Gatherings were once a moon rather then once a quarter-moon, but she knew she wasn't one for crowds. Not one bit.

Attempting to block out the nervous ramblings drumming in her head, she moved towards the leaders and respectfully bowed her head at Emberstar once she was close. "Good to see you Emberstar," She mewed, grateful her voice sounded more steady then she felt, she bowed at the black tom the same way she had done with the former before introducing herself. "it's nice to meet you. I'm Mintstar, of PineClan. And who might you be?"

Oakheart ) Daisystorm was curious as to what Oakheart meant by the last Gathering being fun, though judging by his hesitance in saying the word, she had to imagine it wasn't the dignified collective of cats she had been told about. At his question, the molly let out a small laugh. "I'd say PineClan's been around for a while now. But me? I'm fairly new." She replied, briefly thinking about the details of her joining the Clan and figuring it'd be nice to continue. "They found me last Greenleaf, battered from head to toe from a bad flood, but I've been through worse."

Squirrelstar ) The delighted feeling of seeing his old leader again was quickly replaced by those of confusion and grief as he tried to wrap his head around how so many cats lost their lives, he froze and stared blankly at his paws as he recalled the healthy faces of the late cats before he left for PineClan. He sighed heavily once he managed to collect his bearings, but he felt a little hollow now knowing that some he knew now walked with StarClan. Ramhorn followed Squirrelstar's gaze to his apprentice Brindlecloud, who was currently speaking with Appleheart of LeafClan, and felt a pang of worry for his apprentice once she mewed her suspicious.

"...Yes, that's parsley's main use." He replied, though he wasn't exactly certain Brindlecloud could have used them to dry her milk as parsley was also used for bellyache, and he couldn't recall her being close with any toms in EchoClan.

- ( Acornpaw : w. Snakepaw ) Acornpaw returned the fellow apprentice's smile, though hers was a bit wider then the tabby tom's as she heard him reply. Somehow she expected all EchoClan cats to act as calmly and reserved as Ramhorn did, so to see one a bit more open was a relief. "Doin' good! This is my first Gathering without any of my denmates, so that's new." Acornpaw meowed, trying to make conversation.

"I don't know," said Birchnose darkly, "but this can only end in two ways: peace or fighting. Hopefully the former." She also glanced up at Morningstar and Honeystar, gaze flickering over to Emberstar for a moment.

Crowcloud smiled when Crowpaw declared that his training was going well, but closed his eyes when he heard of the warriors who had passed away. "May they rest in Starclan," he murmured. When he heard that honey was what cured the red plague, his eyes flew open. "Honey? Thankfully it's fairly common throughout the territories." He shook his head in bewilderment. "Is Foamkit alright?"

Dustleaf laughed. "That's a lot of kits! But then, we have seven... I can understand why Shadedleaf wanted to let 'em rest. And the kits don't do much for the first half-moon or so."

"Forestclan's also pretty good," replied Cherryclaw. "We also have lots of prey, and two litters. Those kits are adorable but a headache." She made a face. "Thankfully one litter is moving out of the nursery soon. How old are your clan's kits?"

Egretstep had wandered through the crowd, not speaking to anyone until he saw a tom whose expression was...irritated? Pleased? He couldn't tell. He walked up to the tom and spoke. "Hello," he said in his raspy voice. "I'm Egretstep of Forestclan. What clan are you from?"

Mila gave a half-smile. "Thanks," she said, pleased. "It's just an old saying. I've heard Snowfoot and Fleckstorrm toss around that saying, especially when their kits are getting rowdy." She glanced over at the Leader's Rock and saw Honeystar talking to another cat, presumably the leader of one of the other many clans. "But my clanmates are rreally nice. What arre yourrs like?"

Oakheart nodded. "You seem alright, now. Our river hasn't flooded--not that I've been around for too long--but I haven't heard of anything like that!" It was funny how there were so many clans, and how quickly some seemed to come and go, while others stuck around for moons. Leafclan, Caveclan, and several others had been clans he had heard about from his clanmates many times. Others, like Pineclan, were new to him. "What's Pineclan's territory like?"

Palefur saw a warrior standing alone and wandered over to them. He wasn't sure exactly what to do and decided to start by introducing himself. "Hi," he said. "I'm Palefur of Forestclan. Where're you from?"

Hillpaw was nervous for her first-ever Gathering. Oakheart had encouraged her to mingle with apprentices from other clans and she could see him sitting under a tree, relaxing and watching. She looked away and wandered further into the clearing. There was so much space!

She saw a pair of cats that looked to be her age and padded over to them. "Umm, hi?" she said uncertainly. "I'm, uh, Hillpaw of Forestclan."

"lostclan has a tradition. in order for us to allign with you, one cat from your clan must join with one from ours. they don't have to be mates forever, but they do need to have a litter together. we would split the kits. is that something you're willing to do?" he asked her, his eyes meeting hers.

burningclaw enjoyed the feeling of her pelt mixed with his. she would be fine mating with this tom. it wouldn't be forever of course, she wasn't exactly a one-cat kind of molly, and judging from the other toms wandering eyes he wasn't either. however, if he strayed while they were mates for the period they would agree, she might rip his throat out. she sent him a coy look and a smirk.

Fritillarystar strode into the busy gathering, slipping through the chattering crowd of cats; old and young alike. She was late but the tortoiseshell leader still felt that there was time enough for her to make some new allies and come off as stronger than she really was. Paws treading lightly over muddy grass, she clambered onto the top of the rocks. The leaders were talking and Fritillarystar too was going to; ''Greetings, my name is Fritillarystar; leader of Moorclan.''

(I want to RP Fritillarystar with Loststar since Fritillarystar is really close to Starclan but Loststar seems to be close to the dark-forest?)

She shook her head before returning her gaze to Ramhorn. "Enough about Brindlecloud. How's living in Pineclan?"

"Hello." Raggedtail mewed to the she-cat as she came up to him. "I'm Raggedtail, the deputy of Echoclan."

Brindlecloud perked up when she saw Appleheart. "I'm doing good. How are you?" She asked, purring happily. She looked around to make sure the other medicine cats weren't paying attention. "Is Tawnykit doing okay?"

Crowpaw nodded. "I guess we overlooked using honey." He mewed. "And Foamkit is doing great. She was running around with her brother when we left camp earlier. And Squirrelstar is doing better as well." Crowpaw mewed. "Has everything been well in Forestclan?"

Beestripe snorted in amusement. "I'll take your word for it." The dark tabby mewed, her whiskers twitching slightly. "I'm not the one you should talk to about making alliances or friends. That would be my mother, Squirrelstar." Beestripe nodded towards Squirrelstar, who had returned to talking with Ramhorn of Pineclan.

loststar turned to the new molly and dipped his head in respect. "greetings. i am loststar." he said, his eyes staring into hers. he had the feeling they wouldn't exactly get along, but he couldn't explain why. just a feeling in his gut. or maybe it was the Dark Forest, warning him about this...fritillarystar and her clan.

After a few minutes of happy wandering, Badgerstar finally decided on a cat to make contact with. "Okay," he breathed to himself, "you can do this. You made friends with Lionheart, you can make friends with anyone." He gave his ears a nervous flick, before striding forward and coming to an abrupt halt in front of Rowanpelt. "Hi!" He mewed. "I'm Badgerheart, the deputy of Groveclan. It's our first time here and I'm trying to make some friends, get to know cats outside of my own clan. How do you do?"

Lionheart couldn't help an amused smile. The younger molly was entertaining, with her sharp quips. "Squirrelstar," she repeated, following Beestripe's indication. "Thank you, I'll keep that in mind." The next question was a little disconcerting, but she refused to let it show, answering smoothly with just the right amount of pause between her words. "No," she said, "there are a few of us now, but we're still growing. Tonight, I'm only here with my deputy, Badgerheart." She nodded through the crowd to the black tom, who still hadn't found someone to converse with. "He's young, but he's enthusiastic and he'll make a good leader one day." She paused again, before deciding to divert the topic before the truth became any more twisted. "So," she said conversationally, "how has this leafbare been for your clan? Not too terrible I hope?"

''Hmm, Loststar.'' she murmured, savoring his name over her tongue. Fritillarystar felt as though her fur was bristling faintly at the mention of his name, as though it were some dark curse that wasn't to be uttered. Flicking her tail to and fro, the tortoiseshell got the faint feeling that this tom was dangerous not in his fighting, not in his tactics, not in his clan but in where he chose to take guidance from. Maybe it would be worth forming an alliance with him, simply to keep an eye on his clan; a very close eye.

Beestripe's smile faltered when Lionheart asked how Echoclan did during leafbare. "Not... not too good... We lost a few warriors and an elder to this sickness that popped up towards the end of greenleaf. They all caught greencough as well, I think that's what pushed them all over." She mewed, looking back up at Lionheart. "We managed to save Squirrelstar and a kit though."
