The blonde elf hummed quietly a bit. Her brother could clearly sense she hadn’t completely calmed down, since they weren’t humans. Elves, fae, and other such were like that. They could sense things from each other, and even humans. The ones that chose to actually hang around humans, that was to say. Though she had sensed the anger and irritation from the human princess. She hadn’t been trying to, hadn’t been doing it on purpose. Yet she’d sensed it from the other girl. Shaking her head, she let out a small sigh. She was still irritated a bit…and that’s what she knew her brother could sense. She brushed at her long hair, trying to distract herself. She took off her flower crown, staring at it then putting it back on. She blinked as she felt someone leaning against her. She looked to her brother, patting him a bit but then pushing him away. She could hear the sigh he gave…then he was shaking his head. She saw him shake his head twice, before she looked away. She began to get lost in thought. She had a bit of responsibility already, as she’d formed a small group within their kingdom. She thought about this, then felt eyes on her. She looked to her brother, seeing the rabbit… then giggled and picked him up, holding him.

The young man sighed and shook his head a couple times. His sister had relaxed a bit but not fully, he could still feel some irritation from her. He leaned against her a moment. She reached to pat him, then pushed him away after a moment. He sighed again…and shook his head twice more. He shifted to his cream and white rabbit form, and stared at her. He stared at her until she looked down at him. He watched her blink, then she giggled some. She reached to pick up the rabbit. He gave a happy little squeak as she lifted him. She settled him in her lap, against the nice material of her dress. He made another happy little squeaking sound. He then heard the door opening and jerked a bit, wanting to transform back but at the same time not wanting to.

As Kal pushed open the door, she immediately felt the glare of her king turn on her. She drew in a silent breath and dipped in a small curtsy.
"Apologies for my sudden outburst," she said, her eyes on the elves instead of him. She wasn't apologizing to him, and she felt he had every right to feel angry or embarrassed because he had withheld the information of the betrothal from her. But the elves didn't deserve her earlier attitude. She wondered how the elf princess felt about the situation. Did she care, or did it not matter to her?
Taking her seat once more, she still refused to look at her father. She did notice however, that the elf prince was gone, or rather, once she looked closer, saw in place was a rabbit. Curious. Was that the price? She didn't know elves could do that. She went to nudge Kai to point it out but they had stepped over on the king's other side and was whispering in his ear. After a moment the king grunted and Kai, with a satisfied look on their face, sat down next to Kal.



Kai rubbed their eyes with the backs of their hands a bit wearily, then refocused their attention on the meeting. King Jurdan cleared his throat and a little awkwardly said, "Yes, well, we'll deal with that later Kal. Shall we continue?" He addressed the last part to King Sirris. Kai glanced at their sister and followed her gaze to where the prince was sitting, or well, where the rabbit on the princesses lap was sitting. Kai raised an eyebrow, intrigued, but said nothing, instead smiling pleasantly.
"Yes, let's please get this over with, I'm sure we all have places to be," they said in a casual tone.

The blonde elf smiled as she continued to old her brother, in his rabbit form. She was much calmer now, and ran a hand down the back of the cream and white creature. She smiled a bit at him. Then looked to the human princess and nodded at her. She smiled as she said “Thank you for apologizing.” Her mother also nodded, finally speaking up and saying “you have the right to be a little annoyed, or a lot annoyed.” She then smiled at both girls. Before looking to the elf king once more. Sunnie also looked to her father, and nodded to him a bit. She then looked down at the rabbit, and continued to pet and pat him. Her father said “Yes, let’s finish up. We need to discuss when to have the wedding, but they’re the ones that get to decide. If they’re really both okay with this,” he said. Looking at both the princesses, as he wouldn’t force his daughter into anything, and didn’t want to make Kal mad either.

The young man, right now a rabbit, continued to sit in her lap. The cream and white creature’s nose twitched rapidly, as was normal for a rabbit. He made a happy little sound, as she ran a hand down his back. He then noticed the human princess was looking at him. He looked right back at her. Then looked up at his sister, as she spoke, then he looked to his mother, as she finally spoke. He squeaked a bit, at both. He then looked to his father, as Sirris spoke to continue the meeting. He looked at his sister again, who just smiled. He couldn’t tell how she was feeling about the betrothal, but…she tended to hide her emotions if upset or angry.

Kal glanced at Kai, then at her father. If there was a choice, perhaps she could propose a different idea instead. She was calming down, resigning herself to the idea of the betrothal, as she knew peace was important. But she had an idea.
She opened her mouth to speak, managing only the words, "I think-" before her father interrupted her. He met her gaze for a brief instant, before turning to address the elves. "It's already settled that the marriage will be taking place," he said briskly, "and I propose next week for the wedding."
Kal's jaw clenched but she looked down and said nothing. She wanted to protest, but she doubted her idea would get listened to in the first place. And she was used to this, her father making her decisions for her. She glanced up at the elf princess, holding back a sigh. "What do you think?"


Kai narrowed their eyes and felt a jab of sharp anger towards their father. He could at least let Kallandra speak, instead of cutting her off every time she wanted to say something.
Before the elf princess could answer Kal's question, Kai cleared their throat and said, "I know this is not my place, but I do believe my sister was trying to say something before you interrupted her, father?" They turned dark eyes on King Jurdan, who, now looking flustered, replied, "Oh- yes, yes of course. Apologies, my dear."
Kai settled back with a satisfied smirk, though they quickly wiped it off their face. Kal smiled at Kai appreciatively, then said, a bit hesitantly, "Well, I was just going to say that perhaps instead of a wedding right away, it might be better to get to know each other first- talk, hang out, such like that. Getting married right away- things will still be rather tense, I suspect. I know almost nothing of the elves or their ways, and I'm sure its the same for the elves about humans." She paused. "In my opinion, peace is brought by a mutual understanding and care between the two parties involved. We don't want this to end the wrong way. It would benefit our species later down the road as well, by getting to know one another better, setting an example, it might lead to brighter futures for all elves and humans." She finished, letting out a breath, then added in a rush, "That's- that's what I think anyway."
Kai felt a rush of something akin to pride as they watched their sister settle back, ducking her head and moving her gaze to the table. Kai didn't think of their sister as unintelligent, but it was rare for her to say something like that. They turned their gaze to King Sirris, expectantly waiting to see his response.

The blonde elf smiled down at the rabbit, and held him. She’d stopped petting and patting him, since she was calm again. However, she still kept a hold of him, not quite ready to let go of him yet. She hadn’t held him since he was very young. Even his rabbit form, he didn’t usually let her hold him. She usually could only show affection by a hand to the shoulder or pat to the head. She found this quite nice, this moment. She hummed and looked at the others in the room. She blinked and felt a flash of anger…Not only had the human king interrupted Kal, but he’d also ignored Sirris’ words about letting the girls decide…He seemed to be disrespecting her father. Both these things caused her to get angry at the man. She looked at Kal, saying “I don’t-“ However, then the sibling was speaking, so she just fell silent once more, letting them. She nodded to Kal, and said “That’s a great idea. Would we meet at our two kingdoms on different days, or would we come to this village again?” she asked.

The young man, right now a rabbit, continued to sit in her lap. The cream and white creature turned intelligent eyes to his parents. His mother was smiling demurely. Though he saw a flash of coldness as the human king seemed to ignore what Sirris had said. This being about the girls deciding. He squeaked a sound of annoyance himself, then looked at the humans again. The one was speaking to their father. Telling him to allow the princess to speak, which then she was allowed to do so. The rabbit looked to Sirris again. The elf king allowed his daughter to speak first, before he spoke again. He wholeheartedly agreed, saying “my daughter is right. That’s a great idea, and I am perfectly fine with it being done.”

Kal tapped her fingers on the table as she thought. "Perhaps we could alternate between our kingdoms," she said. "I'd love to see yours, and I know plenty of good places in mine." She looked up. "Is... does that work?"
She avoided looking at her father, but sent a quick smile of gratitude towards her sibling, then looked back at the elf princess and waited for her response. She would also love to come back here, but she felt a little uncomfortable at the idea, since she didn't know how the people in the village might think. Would they dislike her for being part of the royal family that sent them here? Kal almost wished she could explore the place without worry, but perhaps that would have to wait until later.
She wondered what the elf princess liked to do. Did she explore every place she could get to, like Kal did? Or maybe she preferred other, more 'princess-like' things. Kal supposed she would find out soon enough. She didn't mind what the elf princess was like, honestly, as long as she was mostly pleasant to be around.

As Kai watched the interaction unfold, they let their mind wander. They did their part, although they did wonder where the courage to do it came from. It wasn't like they were scared of their father, quite the opposite, but they didn't usually talk back to him. They tried to stay in his good graces. They could think of only one other time they had spoken out, and that was nearly years ago...
Shaking their head, they forcefully pushed that memory out of their mind. No use dwelling on the past. They chanced a glance at King Jurdan, seeing an expression of slight annoyance mixed with forced politeness. Well. He could suffer being embarrassed, or irritated, or whatever he was feeling. It wasn't often Kai stepped in when he got on their sister like that, so he wasn't used to it. Still, Kai knew he would be talking to her- maybe both of them- later.
Curious, though. King Jurdan seemed awfully anxious to marry the two princesses off. Perhaps he just wanted to bring peace to the kingdoms as soon as possible. But the king usually had other motives for doing things beyond the surface one. Kai couldn't figure it out though.
They would give their father the benefit of the doubt for now. They yawned and let their gaze drift over to the elves.

The blonde elf smiled as she watched the other lady. She placed Sandy back in his chair, and watched him turn back from rabbit form. She smiled as she reached over a moment. She patted his hand, then looked at Kal and nodded as she said “that works for me. We can go between the two kingdoms. Do you have a preference which kingdom we start with?” she asked. She glanced to the human king a moment…then to Kai. She smiled at them, then looked to her own sibling. She smiled at him, then looked to her parents. They were listening to the girls still, but seemed content to let them talk now. She hummed and smiled over the fact they were doing this. Her parents cared greatly for her and Sandy, and she was so grateful for having the both of them around.

The young man, right now a rabbit, sat. He was placed back into his chair, and blinked as he looked up at her. Shaking his head, he squeaked once, twice, then closed his eyes. He transformed back, fixing his clothes a bit, straightening them as it were. He followed his sister’s gaze to their parents, whom were holding hands. the two were whispering to each other, like school children or young lovers. He smiled as he watched them. He then looked over to the two humans aside from the princess. He smiled as he looked at the one that wasn’t the king. He then glanced to the two princesses’ for a moment. Before looking to Kai, and noticing how they had yawned. He wondered if they were bored…or if they were just getting tired from all that happened.

(I'm so so sorry that I vanished! I didn't want to but I had to take a break from CS TwT I really am sorry and I will try my best to make sure it doesn't happen again)

Kal hummed a bit, considering. "We can start with yours," she said. Now that more freedom was on the table, she was quite excited. Unlike her sibling, Kal had always been interested in the elves' culture and traditions. And she liked meeting new people- albeit most people didn't like dealing with her. "When would a good time be?"

Kai's eyes landed on the elf prince, who was staring at them. They blinked and steadily met his gaze. He was an elf once more. How curious. Kai wondered what use being able to transform into a rabbit had, and whether the prince used it to escape chores or schoolwork. They knew if Kal had such an ability, she would most certainly be using it to cause even more trouble. Kai wasn't sure what type of person the prince was, though. Did he cause mischief, or was he a good little royal? Kai blinked again and shook their head, wondering where such pointless thoughts had come from.

(Also I wanted to write more but I need to refresh myself on what has been happening and I didn't want to make any mistakes, but i didn't want to drag it out longer than it has been to get this out xD)

The blonde elf smiled as she looked at her sibling a moment. She then looked to Kal again, and nodded at the other girl. Smiling as she said “I can introduce you to my friends. I formed this little…group with another elf and his daughter and then some others. They aren’t all elves like me. There’s a woman with cat ears, and her and my one elf friend had a son together. He’s half elf and half…cat person or Neko, she said was species. We also have another little boy we took in, he’s a tiger. Oh…sorry, I started rambling…Um…probably after breakfast or after lunch, which would you be better with? I’m thinking either ten or eleven if you’re fine coming by after breakfast. Otherwise…twelve thirty or one pm would be fine.”

The young man hummed quietly a moment. He then shook his head, and reached his hand up to rub at one pointed ear. He then lowered his hand once more, and smiled. Before feeling like someone was watching him, and looking over to Kai. He shook his head a moment, trying to figure out why the other was looking at him. They must be trying to figure him out. He didn’t know what they were trying to figure out. He couldn’t help feeling a bit of a thrill that they seemed interested in him, possibly, though.

Kal nodded, intrigued by the descriptions the elf princess had given. "I would love to meet your friends!" she said. "Don't worry about that- I ramble too sometimes." She tapped her finger on the table in thought. "Hmm... Perhaps eleven? That would be a good time." She glanced at her father, but he wasn't looking at her. Rolling her eyes, she turned her attention to Kai only to see they were staring at the prince. She furrowed her eyebrows, before a small smile found its way to her features. She turned away, smirking slightly, then cleared her throat and nodded to the elf princess. "Yeah, eleven is fine. Tomorrow?"



Kai saw Kal glance at them from out of the corner of their eye, and they mentally shook themself, embarrassed to be caught staring. Why, they didn't know. But they quickly focused their gaze somewhere else, which turned out to be the table, and tried to tune back in to the conversation.
"Well, that's decided," their father was saying. He cleared his throat and stood. "If we're all done here, I have places to be."
I'm sure you do, Kai thought, rolling their eyes. They stood as well, glancing one last time at the elves. Their eyes narrowed and lingered for a second longer on the prince, then they turned and prepared to leave. How intriguing.


(I also don't remember if they know each other's names, so I'm just assuming they do xD)
