Váli wrinkled their nose in distaste as a beam of sunlight hit their face directly. "Morning already?" they mumbled as they say up, stretching their arms and cracking their knuckles. They slid off of the bed and hurried into the bathroom, dragging a brush through knotted curls before pulling their hair into a messy bun. Váli glanced down at their attire. Sweatpants and an old tshirt would have to do, as it was the weekend and they weren't going to bother caring about dressing up. They heaved a sigh and strode toward the kitchen to start making coffee. Oh. They were out of milk. They scribbled 'milk' onto their list of items they needed to get from the store.

Still trying to decide whether the neighbors would appreciate miss the same way he did, Pol slung his backpack over his shoulders and set off down the sidewalk. As he walked, Pol contemplated his new neighborhood. It was a young town, and everyone was still moving in. He himself had only been settled for a few weeks.I should really make an attempt to meet some people, he decided. I'm sure there are plenty of others who'd like a few friends. Pol finally arrived at the hoppy store and unmediated headed to the gardening section. A shelf full of miniature pots caught his attention. Staring at the pots, Pol suddenly had a brilliant idea. He knew exactly how he was going to meet his neighbors.

Váli sighed as they hurried down the stairs. They wouldn't wait on their coffee; no, caffeine was something that was part of their morning routine, and tey weren't about to break the routine because they were out of milk. Black coffee with a little sugar wouldn't hurt. They added three tablespoons of coffee into the pot and filled the entire mug with water, and then turned the pot on. Váli had always enjoyed stronger coffee. They sat cross-legged on the kitchen floor as they waited for the coffee to brew.

Pol dumped twenty some mini pots into his cart. He picked out the moss he needed and an assortment of other mosses. Finally, he got a bag of soil and another of decorative pebbles. Perfect. Pol paid and carefully arranged everything in his backpack. He rushed home, excited to start potting the moss. He planned to go door-to-door, bringing everyone a miniture zen garden and learning names at the same time.

The coffee pot beeped loudly, startling Váli. They cursed under their breath as they stood up and rummaged through the cabinets for their favorite coffee mug, setting it down on the counter and grabbing the container of sugar. A few tablespoons of sugar went into the coffee and they stirred it, humming to them-self. They reached for the refrigerator door when they remember they needed milk, and then took the coffee mug and started heading out the door. Váli slipped on worn tennis shoes and started the car, setting down the coffee mug. They pulled out of the driveway and drove toward the hobby store, parking near the front and headed directly inside, leaving the steaming mug in the car.
