I awoke from my peaceful-slumbering, sensing that today, mating season begins.
Knowing that the whole tribe will be itching to mate, I must be on a higher-guard than usual.
The tribe isn't exactly the most focused when it comes to safety during mating season...

[Away from the tribe...]

Malachi
Elijah and I are supposed to scout the perimeters, but the whole time we've been goofing off.
I don't really mind that much though. The only thing that bothers me is Elijah's constant A.D.D.,
not to mention the fact that it's mating season and we are stuck on scout duty...

Elijah
Every where we go, I smell female shima after shima. Oh, I think there's one over there!
Is it Leo? Heaven? I don't know... All I know is that I can't pay attention... maybe I should
just ditch Malachi for the rest of the scouting? He can handle it alone, right?

|| Delilah silently waded across the stream nervously.She was thinking about if she would find a mate of her own one day,or if she'd never find love. ||

Leo||Female||Leafy grove||Huntress

|| Leo quietly stalked a shrew a couple tail lengths away,her belly fur Was flattened to the ground as she stalked closer.She pounced and barely missed the shrew as it ran back into its burrow,she tumbled through the grass.Her mind suddenly filled with finding a new mate but she shook her head I have duties to fulfill,i can't waste my time on a mate she thought and continued hunting. ||

Clue||Male||Rushing water||Hunter

|| Clue watched as Delilah waded across the stream flicking his ears back and walking away.He padded back to camp seeing it was quite empty. ||

Chorran||Male||Loner

|| Chorran padded through the forest as his mind filled with memories of the tribe.He shredded a small rabbit to pieces in anger and his eyes filled with hate. ||

I may have switched their roles, sorry.
I wanted it to match their true natures.

Badgerface was lurking around the bushes, hiding her scent behind the aroma of berries. She spotted another shima padding by through the bottom of the shrubs, he was tall and bright-colored. It reminded her of the father she never knew well. She was frightened, creeping further into the bushes to hide away from the bright-green stranger.

Elijah
From the corner of my eyes, I could've sworn I saw a shima as white as snow...
maybe I'm just imagining things? Maybe I'm going crazy? That's it, I need to go.

Malachi
"There's just a few more miles up ahead that we haven't checked..."
I say, reminding Elijah that I am still here. The past few minutes,
I could tell he's been thinking about ditching me. Every second he turns his head,
looking back at the tribe grounds and wondering if he should go.
I refuse to let him get all the female shimas before me!

|| Delilah watched Clue go and pulled herself out of the stream.She looked into the water searching for fish. ||

Leo||Female||Leafy grove||Huntress

|| Leo continued hunting and had forgotten about mating,she sniffed for any scents but couldn't seemed to find any That shrew was lucky she thought. ||

Clue||Male||Rushing water||Hunter

|| Clue walked into the tribe camp,it seemed completely deserted and it really needed more shimas to protect it. ||

Chorran||Male||Loner

|| Chorran hung his head and watched a leaf fly through the air,it reminded him of the Leafy grove where he had been banished from and he swatted it out of the air.He sniffed and scented another shima,he looked around "Who's there!"He said "Show yourself!"He added. ||

Badgerface knew she had been discovered, but she refused to come out of the bushes... In an attempt to scare away the bright-green shima, she snarled while shaking the bushes around her. She wondered if it would work.

Gabriel announced that it is officially mating season, all units should remain cautious as we travel to Hollow Tree.

[Malachi and Elijah in the woods...]

Malachi
"I am telling you, Elijah, there are no females out here," I exclaimed.
Elijah is going on and on about catching a female's scent.
I think it's some trick to allow me to let him go back to the tribe.

I am literally too distracted with him to be able to scout, and if
Gabriel finds out, he will kill us!

Elijah
He doesn't believe me. I caught a shima's scent!
It was about a half-a-mile from here, and we should scout over there!
I mean, she could be dangerous after all...

|| Delilah didn't feel like going to the Hollow tree this season,she was to nervous.She swatted a fish out of the water and watched it flop on the ground before it went limp. ||

Leo||Female||Leafy grove||Huntress

|| Leo heard Gabriel and padded back to him to get ready to travel to the Hollow tree,she wasn't that nervous. ||

Clue||Male||Rushing water||Hunter

|| Clue was lost in his thoughts and it suddenly hit him,he had to get to the hollow tree before he missed all the shima's! ||

Chorran||Male||Loner

|| Chorran didn't see any shima come out so he started prowling around and sniffing searching for the shima.He stopped at the bush and saw it shaking and rustling,he growled and took a step closer. ||

Badgerface yelped at the sudden face moving towards her. "Stay away from me," she barked and in an instant, was on her paws, tumbling out of the bushes and away from the bright-green shima. She may not be able to out-run or climb him, but if she had to, she will fight... and as she ran, all she could wonder is how to avoid other shimas.

|| Delilah gently grabbed the fish and put it off to the side.She turned back to the water and waited patiently for another fish to appear unaware of her surroundings. ||

|| Clue started walking to the Hollow tree,he was so excited,yet at any moment a Grion could swipe a shima out of the air. ||

|| Chorran slightly tilted his head as she ran but then narrowed his eyes and started padding after the shima,he had questions to ask. ||
