Emberstar gave a small chuckle. "Ah, I see. Is your Clan doing well so far? Growing?"

Ashenclaw turned toward the voice and gave a smile when he recognized Birchnose of ForestClan. "Hi, Birchnose!" he mewed. "Well, I think we're getting a badger problem. We were lucky for quite a while, no terrible encounters with the beasts, but recently one of our patrols came across one. A warrior - a young one, poor thing - was killed. We're going to search the territory soon for anymore badgers. I hope your Clan is doing better than mine?"

Appleheart let out a soft sigh, keeping his gaze toward the ground as they padded away from the group. "Brindlecloud..." he mewed, trying to figure out how to explain everything that he was going through. "I... I'm a failure. A failure as a medicine cat. I couldn't save a warrior's life. I-I don't know what's wrong with me, I don't know if it's the idea of not being able to see my kits because they're in a different -" he cut himself off with a gasp and looked at his mate with wide eyes. "A-are they born yet?" He knew that they should have been born already, and his heart fluttered as he waited for Brindlecloud's answer.

The large tom turned to the other warrior with something of a blank expression. He wasn't the most sociable cat and usually preferred to keep to himself during Gatherings, but he decided that a little conversation couldn't hurt. "Hello," he meowed flatly. "Patchthorn of LeafClan."

"Oh, yes, quite nice indeed," Frigidrose grumbled sarcastically. Frostpath turned to the she-cat with an apologetic look. "S-sorry about that. I-it's a wonderful night, yes. Who are you? I'm Frostpath of LeafClan, and this is Frigidrose."

Morningstar is open

Morningstar leapt calmly onto the great rock, ears twitching slightly as he glanced at the other leaders. The majority of the leaders were familiar although he rarely spoke to them. Morningstar had always preferred to listen rather than speak. He got information without having to say anything at all about Caveclan.

Woolyfur is open

Woolyfur sat down with the other deputies.

Shadedleaf tagged with Archpool of Briarclan

"Not too chilly yet thankfully," Shadedleaf mewed, lowering her gaze to the tom. The sharp tang of herbs on his pelt told her he was a medicine cat, but not one she knew. "I don't believe I've seen you before. I'm Shadedleaf, one of Caveclan's medicine cats."

Rowanfur + Ebonywing are open

The pair sat down in the midst of the clans, close enough to keep an eye on Duskpaw. Ebonywing had expressed her worries about Duskpaw earlier and the pair had decided to keep an eye on him. He was such a nervous tom and without the other apprentices, Duskpaw felt ill at ease. Ebonywing had assured him he'd be fine, but he'd still seemed worried.

Chiveclaw + Hawkfeather are open

The toms sat side by side, waiting paitently for the gathering to start. Studying the cats around them, Hawkfeather wondered if he ought to talk to anyone. Perhaps if he was approached, he'd be glad to chat but for now, he was content to sit with Chiveclaw.

Duskpaw tagged with Forestclan

The sudden approach of 4 unfamiliar cats made Duskpaw stiffen, his eyes wide. Duskpaw guessed by the similarities of their pelts that they were siblings. "I-I'm D-Duskpaw," He stuttered, nervous around so many cats. "I-I'm from C-Caveclan."

"Oh." Honeystar hadn't known that. She hoped that it was nothing more than a cough, although it was possible that the sickness was something else. Greencough, possibly. "I hope they get better soon," she said. "Is it you first time filling in for Squirrelstar?"

Birchnose nodded along and closed her eyes briefly when Ashenclaw mentioned the warrior that had died. When he was done, she spoke. "Forestclan's been doing well," she said. "Foxes were scented a moon or two back, but nothing's happened yet. We've had a few newcomers and Snowfoot's kits were born a couple moons back! Also, Duckpelt's litter--except for Dustpaw, the medicine cat's apprentice--are now warriors! They're somewhere here."

Crowcloud nodded and watched as Brindlecloud wandered away. He narrowed his eyes. Who was that tom? Well, it wasn't his business anyways. "How's your training coming along?" he asked Crowpaw.

"Caveclan!" exclaimed Barleystream. "I met Mistypaw and Tigerpaw a Gathering or two ago. How are they?"

Adderstream shot an amused look at his sister. "Don't mind Barleystream. We only became warriors less than a moon ago, and I don't think she realized it yet."

Dawnstorm looked around before padding over to three cats who looked like they were from the same clan. "Uhh...hi?" he said, unsure of himself. This was only his second Gathering, and he hoped that he wasn't doing too badly. He remembered talking Briarwhisker's ear off the last one, but without someone with him, he had less confidence. "I'm Dawnstorm of Forestclan. And you are?"

The exhausted tom made his way into the clearing and slowly made his way to the deputies rock. He forgot that this gathering he was the one to make the announcements for Briarclan as he struck a conversation with the nearest cat "Haven't seen you before, I am Bouldershade." he kept the yawn back that was threatening to expose his tiredness. "Deputy of Briarclan." he added quickly.

The tom shook his head "Never met you, I haven't been to any of the medicine cat meeting lately either, been far to busy. I am Archpool, the medicine cat for the fast growing Briarclan." He rolled his eyes slightly "Kits are just about everywhere and then we get an injured patrol..they keep me busy. That's for sure." he muttered the last part. "It is nice to finally relax a tad though." he smiled at her before adding "How are things in Caveclan? You said one of the medicine cats, I assume there are more than one of you?"

Badgerfall only flicked an ear at Frigidrose and looked at Frostpath "Don't worry...I am Badgerfall, a new warrior to Briarclan. Lots of cats are starting to gather now, you think the leaders will start soon?" she asked to start up some sort of conversation with the two.

Coppereyes did not want to come but didn't voice his opinion this time. He knew Badgerfall was going and wanted to see if he could learn more about her. She didn't share much of her past with anyone in the clan and he couldn't help but be awestruck by the molly. He kept his distance of course as he sat down away from the cats and just listened in on the conversations around him.

He looked over when he noticed a young leader by herself. "Hey." He mewed to her, gesturing for her to join him and Honeystar.

"No medicine cat can save everyone." Brindlecloud mewed softly to Appleheart, touching her tail to his cheek as he kept talking. When he stopped and asked about the kits, Brindlecloud perked up, beaming brightly. "They were born yesterday. Two she-kits."

"It's been going well. I got to help deliver a litter yesterday." Crowpaw mewed excitedly. "Mossvine's kits were the cutest!" He mewed, his tail wiggling excitedly.

"Hi!" Bramblingflight smiled. "I'm Bramblingflight, and this is Gorsebird and Icefang. We're from Echoclan." The excitable she-cat curled her tail over her paws, her ears pricked.

"Are you new? I haven't seen you before." Gorsebird mewed.

Sandpaw's eyes widened when two larger apprentices came to join her and Snakepaw. The sandy-colored she-cat ducked behind her brother, peering anxiously over his shoulder. Snakepaw snorted in amusement before replying to the toms. "I'm Snakepaw of Echoclan, and this scaredy-cat is my sister, Sandpaw. And yeah, this is our first gathering."

Batwing turned his head to the fellow deputy and flashed him a smiled. "Oh, it's certainly good to meet'cha! I'm Batwing, the new deputy of Gorseclan!" The peppy tom kneaded the ground excitedly. "How's being a deputy in Briarclan? Gorseclan's pretty small, I haven't gotten to do any of my 'deputy duties' yet." He let out a quick chuckle, flashing his signature smirk at the tired deputy. "I'd like to know what's coming for me, y'know?"

briarstar jumped when another leader beconed her over, standing up, she strode over confidently to the other two leaders, even though the she-cat was definitely daunted. she settle down next to the other leader, dipping her head in silent greeting. "good evening, i am briarstar, the leader of dawnclan. we're, ah, new." she says, taking a moment to pause before she finished her sentence. 'okay, you can do this.' she thinks, wrapping her tail elegantly around her paws. "may i ask who you are?"

Duskpaw's eyes brightened when he realized these apprentices knew his friends. "T-They're great!" He replied, beginning to grow more confident. "They're warriors now. Mistfall and Tigerjaw." If Mistfall and Tigerjaw were friends with these Forestclan cats, perhaps they weren't so bad. Perhaps they'd even become friends. The idea of having friends in another clan was a bit daunting but it was interesting nonetheless. Mistfall and Tigerjaw would be so happy to hear about their friends.
