Jinxstar led his group into the gathering clearing, looking around thoughtfully as he did so. He did not say a word to his clanmates as he trotted over to the rest of the leaders and jumped up next to them.

Willowbolt followed her mate as he led the way to were the leaders and deputies normally gathered. As she took her seat with the rest of the deputies, she looked around anxiously for Rowanpelt.

Ashleaf walked over to the rest of the medicine cats, upset that he was once again attending a gathering without his mentor. He was not sure what to tell any cat if they asked where she was.

Tux was looking around at the gathered cats, wondering what the night might bring. Perhaps he will have extraordinary luck again and a couple of other females would take an interest in him.

Yinpelt took a seat near the rest of the deputies, looking around for Rowanpelt. He wanted to be the first to tell him the wonderful news about Velvetrabbit's kits. He wanted so desperately to tell him all the wonderful names he gave the kits as well.

Leopardclaw and Barkclaw walked around the gathered cats, looking for a calm group to join.

Harmonypaw and Snowpaw were standing in the shadows and looking out on all the gathered cats. All the mingled clan scents were starting to hurt their noses, and the sight of so many cats made them feel very uncomfortable.

Appleblaze dipped his head to the two warriors. "Sweetdawn, this is Leopardpaw and Barkclaw. They're from Jinxclan." Sweetdawn nodded slowly.

Squirrelstar frowned and nodded slightly. "Well, it's nice to know he's doing alright." The light ginger she-cat mewed. "So how did you find out about the gatherings?"

Brindlecloud looked at her paws, her ears pressing back against her head. "No... Shrewtail has gotten worse, and it's even infected some others. Simon, Tigger, Smokespeck and Poppypounce are sick now too. I've given them everything that I know treats their symptoms, none of it is working."

She looked up towards the leader rock where Squirrelstar was speaking with a young leader. "I think Squirrelstar is going to catch it as well. She's in the medicine cat den all the time to make sure everyone is comfortable. When Shrewtail started getting sick, she complained about headaches. I've noticed Squirrelstar keeps shaking her head like it's bothering her."

"Hey." Raggedtail mewed, dipping his head to Ashstripe and Alderclaw. "I'm Raggedtail of Echoclan, this is Bramblingflight, Wildpoppy and Hemlockheart."

Wildpoppy got to her paws, dismissing herself from the group she was in before padding up to Tux. "Tux." She mewed, her eyes wide. "I need to tell you something important."

Sparkpaw pounced on Acornpaw in the center of the clearing, squealing happily as she wrestled with her uncle.

Minnowstar jumped up onto a small rock emerging from the grass, and observed the large crowd of cats in front of him. Curious to meet the other clan cats, he leaped off again and padded into the swarm of felines bumbling about.

Tigertail looked at the silver tom, and replied with,
"I'm Tigertail," she breathed in his scent. "Which clan are you from? I'm from CraterC-" She stopped mid-sentence as she saw two other cats approaching them. The cat — who she assumed was another medicine cat — asked her a question. "My name is Tigertail, from CraterClan. This is Archpool," she flicked her tail toward the tabby feline, and then carried on. "I suppose you're another medicine cat...?" Tigertail looked at the apprentice. She wondered when CraterClan were going to get apprentices. Would Minnowstar ask StarClan for them? Would another molly have kits? Tigertail thought of how amazing it would be to be a queen, raising her kits in the nursery. She shook her head. Tigertail would never disobey the laws of the clan. As she realised she was lost in her thoughts, her attention turned back to the three cats.

Cats Attending: Rimestar

The black-and-white leader padded slowly into the clearing, trying not to show her awe. She had never seen so many cats in one place — it was mesmerizing, albeit slightly overwhelming. She was astonished by all of the different scents that surrounded her, and by how different the cats were. There were all coats of coat colors, and cats of nearly every age or rank. As she had been living as a rogue for most of her life, Rimestar had never experienced anything quite like this. She meandered through the crowd with her head held high. Most of the cats seemed to be in groups, and many of the scents — likely those of other Clans — could be found throughout the clearing. Very few cats were as alone as she was. Rimestar slowly approached a towering rock where several dignified-looking cats stood. Her instinct told her that they must be leaders. The she-cat leapt up, landing on the rock with grace and ease. The leap was minuscule compared to the mountain she had to face on a day-to-day basis. Rimestar watched silently at first. The other leaders were surely more experienced than her, and she figured that she might learn a thing or two from listening in.

the ginger and white tabby walked into the clearing, a small group of cats following behind him. he signaled to them to mix into the crowd and jumped onto the leader's rock. briarleap was once again stuck in camp because of the kittens, who were giving her lots of headaches. the leader notices a lot of new cats and decided to speak up to one. he approached the black and white molly and started a conversation. "hello, i am foxstar from mapleclan. i haven't seen you before, are you at first gathering?" the tom asked, a friendly smile on his face.

Rimestar was taken by surprise when a ginger-and-white tom spoke to her. She stumbled over her words as she stammered a response. "Y-yes, this is... our first gathering," she said carefully. Perfect. Now I look like a bumbling mouse brain who can't speak a full sentence. "VerglasClan is quite new," she added. "How about your Clan? Have you been to many Gatherings before?"

foxstar chuckled lightly at the other leader's jumbled words. he had been in the exact same situation when he came alone at his first gathering, just before he met briarleap. "mapleclan has been around for a couple moons. we've also been to a few gatherings, but we're still not as powerful as the big clans."
