[ Arrow ] the Beast Master
Arrow had noticed a tom a few tail lengths away listening in on this conversation, but kept her mouth shut. 'Stay out of arguments, stay out of arguments, stay out of arguments...' She thought to herself, taking a deep breath as she continued conversing casually. "Arrow the Beast Master, I'm the leader of the new Hyenaclan." She told the new she-cat, Honeystar.

Bone simply shrugged. "Not really, just wanted to know." He told her. 'To keep noted, Briarclan is much smaller compared to others.' He thought to himself, keeping his brain filled with all the useless information he had always memorized. "So, you said no one knows that you'll be a queen soon, but would the father perhaps know?" He questioned, trying to get into a conversation he might just be more interested in.

Arrow stared at Honeystar for a moment, confused. 'Don't cats just get names? All the names I've seen just make sense.' However, her status name did have meaning behind it. "It's the only name my mentor, Fidgetspice, would call me. It was because he was being attacked by two dogs who feared cats and obeyed by orders." She said, remembering Fidgetspice and missing the tom. She wondered if he was already at Howlingclan's far away territory, making sure those cats knew what they did wrong.

Squirrelstar's eyes widened in surprise. "Fidgetspice?" She mewed, not bothering to hide the surprise in her voice. "Is he alright? Everybody was concerned when he just disappeared, especially because of his condition. Is he still with you?"

Brindlecloud looked at her paws, her ears pressing back against her head. "No... Shrewtail has gotten worse, and it's even infected some others. Simon, Tigger, Smokespeck and Poppypounce are sick now too. I've given them everything that I know treats their symptoms, none of it is working."

She looked up towards the leader rock where Squirrelstar was speaking with a young leader. "I think Squirrelstar is going to catch it as well. She's in the medicine cat den all the time to make sure everyone is comfortable. When Shrewtail started getting sick, she complained about headaches. I've noticed Squirrelstar keeps shaking her head like it's bothering her."

Wildpoppy followed Raggedtail, Bramblingflight and Hemlockheart to one side of the clearing, her gaze looking around the clearing anxiously for Tux.

Arrow seemed to be constantly confused around these cats. 'They know of Fidgetspice? He had told me he never even went to these gatherings..." However, she didn't ask questions about it. "He's off to his own adventures and needs." She said, not even going into how he could take care of his condition on his own, Squirrelstar. "We're not starving yet, so that's a bonus." She commented on Honeystar's question about prey.

Cloudstar had lead the way into the clearing without a word. He leaped up onto the leader's rock and sat a few tail lengths away from the nearest cat, making sure there was a bubble around him. He kept his eye out for Poppystar, the tom had not seen his friend for some time now and it started to worry him. They had even checked the border and their scent had become stale. Just then he overheard one of the leaders ask a cat he has never seen before a question, to him she was to young to even be a leader, what was she doing on the leader's rock? He perked his ears and listened to their conversation.

Bouldershade was shocked that Cloudstar did not warn them about saying to much. It was kind of odd of the tom, in fact he had not been himself lately and wondered what is up with the leader lately. Bouldershade made his way to where the deputies gathered and just sat there with a distant look in his eyes.

Archpool snapped out of his worried mood and looked around, he saw a she cat looking around as well. Their eyes eventually met and he padded towards her "Hello, I am Archpool. What's your name?" he asked the silver tabby.

This caused the molly to shuffle on her front paws, not sure if she should tell the tom. But she found herself already talking before giving it any real thought "Well not really, at least not yet. He might be here today at the gathering and I can tell him, but he isn't a Brairclan cat. I haven't told anyone because I don't know what Cloudstar would do if he found out." She admitted to the stranger.

Willowpaw sighed, she was fine not moving and wanted for them to come to her but she got up anyways. She looked at the two younger cats, they must be siblings? she thought to herself. The tom is very cute and she couldn't help but study his pelt while her sister did the talking for once.

Bramblepaw saw a couple of cats come their way, they seemed to be her age and she was happy to chat with another cat that was not her sister "Look Willowpaw!" she then got to her paws and enthusiastically skipped her way towards the tom and molly "Hello, I am Bramblepaw and this is my sister Willowpaw. Who are you guys?" she asked.

Mousestar led his cats into the clearing and leapt onto the great rock with the other leaders.

Nightglow sat at the base of the great rock with the other deputies.

Itch went straight to the most shadowy spot he could find.

Appleblaze sat down with the other warriors. "Don't be scared Sweetdawn..."

Sweetdawn stuck close to Appleblaze side as he sat down with the warriors. "There are so many cats..." She murmured, voice shaking.

Honeystar snorted at Arrow's dry humor. "It gets much worse during the leafbare," she said. She cocked her head. Who was Fidgetspice? What condition was the other leader referring to? She stayed quiet, not wanting to interrupt Arrow.

Birchnose padded into the crowd, searching for the other deputies. She bounded over to them once she spotted the group, and wandered over to a tom. Ashenclaw of Leafclan, she thought.

"Hello!" she exclaimed. "It's good to see you again. How's prey running?"

"Is this your first Gathering?" asked Crowcloud, looking at his apprentice. He was proud of her, as she had thrown herself into her work.

"No," replied Dustpaw. "My second. I came here with Boulderpaw."

"Oh. Well, let's find the other medicine cats."

The two wandered for a while before Dustpaw nudged Crowcloud towards a group of cats talking about herbs, injuries, and the like. Specifically, one molly who was alone and glancing around the crowd.

"Hello," said Crowcloud politely. "My name is Crowcloud of Forestclan, and this is my apprentice: Dustpaw. What's your name and clan?"

Alderclaw and Ashstripe were both nervous at attending the first Gathering after escaping from their respective clans. They stayed together for this reason, and were reluctant to socialize. Finally, Ashstripe pointed out a group of four and the pair wandered over.

"H-hi," said Ashstripe nervously, "I'm Ashstripe of Forestclan. This is Alderclaw of Forestclan. And you are?" He hoped desperately that no one recognized either of them, as he felt too ashamed of running away, even now. Alderclaw stayed silent, preferring to watch the four's reactions first.

Adderpaw and Barleypaw looked over at the two mollies, who were clearly apprentices. Barleypaw spoke first as usual. "I'm Barleypaw of Forestclan," she said, "and this is my brother, Adderpaw." She indicated him with a flick of her tail.

"What clan are you from?" asked Adderpaw, noticing that Bramblepaw forgot to mention it.
