A group seemed to be forming, maybe trying to figure out a way to get out? He coudl help maybe - they might need his Shifting ability. But for now he didn't want to let anyone know he was a Shifter - they might think he was an escaped slave. He moved towards the ground, noting in surprise that the one outside was a cat, and caught the end of their conversation.
"Need any help?" he asked.

Dawn

Name: Dawn
Gender: Female
Age: Twelve
Tag: Open

Her first instinct was to run now that she was out. Run as far away as she could so those inside the cage couldn't catch her and take her back to slavery. She was free now, she wasn't ging back. But as she bolted into the woods, she suddenly slammed into something.
She staggered back, shaking her head to clear it. There didn't seem to be anything there. Carefully lifting her paw, she moved it forward. There was some invisible barrier there. Again, panic started to fill her. She was trapped. She wanted to reach the trees, to hide under a pile of leaves. But she couldn't. She couldn't leave the clearing.

Aria/cat/female

"Yes," Aria said to the newcomer "We're trying to see if the cage is bolted down anywhere, and if it isn't, if we can tip this thing over. Hey, what's the floor like? If the cage is too heavy then perhaps we could dig out?"

Kuroku

"I'm not seeing many bolts." Kuroku said to the people around him. "Hey-" It occurred to him that he didn't know all of their names. He knew Soren and Mari, but he didn't know any of the others names. "Hey cat, I don't mean to be rude, but what's your name?"

Soren and Mari

"Hey Mari," Soren said, "Do you see anything that could be used as a lever?"
Mari didn't ask how he knew that was what she was doing, but she said no. "Not yet." She kept looking and noticed a girl run for the trees and slam into something she couldn't see. Mari frowned. She had thought that illusion had had something to do with the scenery change, so that would give a logical answer to why the girl had slammed into seemingly nothing, but she couldn't prove anything while they were stuck in the cage.

Aria/Cat/Female

"My name is Aria Atwater. What is yours?" Aria said vacantly, her gaze drifting towards the girl who was out of containment. She seemed to be dazed for some reason and yet panicking at the same time.

Kuroku

"My name is Kuroku Sotar. I know I'm still in a cage, but it's nice to meet you, Aria."
Kuroku noticed Soren right next him and said, "Do you think we could lift it up ourselves? Or maybe melt the bars?"

Soren and Mari

Soren pondered what Kuroku had asked him for a moment. "I think we should try to lift it first. Mari could pull out the few bolts as we try." He looked back at Mari who was looking at him with an eyebrow raised. "If you're okay with it?" He said to her. She nodded and Soren dug his fingers into the loose, soft dirt under the cage and waited for Kuroku. When they were both ready they started to pull.

Aria/Female/Cat

Aria pulled her gaze away from the girl and added her slight strength to the endeavor, gasping slightly as the cage began to rise.

Kuroku

Kuroku focused on lifting the cage. He payed little attention to much else. He heard Aria help and gasp when the cage started to lift.


Soren and Mari

Mari could tell that Soren and Kuroku were too focused on lifting to pay attention to much else so she just crawled around them looking for bolts to pull out of the ground while they got them out of the cage.

Aria/Female/Cat

The bars rose too far above her head to reach at the point where Soren and Kuroku were lifting, so Aria darted towards another corner and the cage continued to lift until it was high enough for the others to escape.

Kuroku

Kuroku was standing up now, he just had to lift his arms and he would be able to get out of the cage. "Kuroku," Soren said to him, "Hold it here for a second, I'm going to go behind and make sure it doesn't fall over and hurt anyone."
Kuroku nodded and stayed where he was.

Soren and Mari

Mari heard what Soren had said to Kuroku and slipped out before him. She knew that now there wouldn't be any more bolts, but if there were, the wouldn't give anybody any trouble at this point. Mari went to the opposite side of the cage as Aria to make the grips more even, so the cage wouldn't tip over.
Soren ducked under the cage bottom after Mari and went around to the back. He lifted his arms to reach the roof, but he had a fair grip on it. "Okay Kuroku, you can start again."
It didn't take after that to get the cage safely on its side on the ground.

Aria/Female/Cat

With a grateful sigh, Aria sank into a crouch, breathing heavily for a few minutes.
"Alright," she said after regaining breath "Now what?"
