Momo visibly recoiled, tears stinging her eyes. She had only meant it in a teasing way and now Honeyfur was lurching around, hissing like the very act of being around the bobtail was painful. She took a step forwards and then several back. "I'm sorry? I didn't mean to upset you like this? Are you- are you alright?" The she-cat bit her lip, wanting to give the medicine cat a comforting nuzzle, though admittedly for more reasons than just comfort, but judging that such an action might just make Honeyfur lash out again and this time, at her. So instead Momo just stood there at an awkward impasse with the pretty she-cat that made it so hard to look away.

Barkknot flashed the departing Thistlethorn a quick grin, murmuring "I will," as the she-cat turned away. But with her eyes scanning the Aspenclan border to no avail her smile quickly faded. Anxiety was beginning to creep in. What if he didn't come? What if a patrol found her and Nettlefoot and attacked them? What if Nettlefoot grew bored and her precious day was wasted on a tom who never showed? "Tanglestep?" She dared to mew across the invisible scent line, then quickly clamping her jaw shut upon realizing how stupid announcing her visit might be.

Dandelionbloom | She-cat | Tux

During the entirety of her hiding Dandelionbloom was a giggling mess. Eyes screwed shut and paws pressed over her nose in a hopeless attempt to muffle the noise she waited for Tux to find her. When he did she regressed into even more of a mess, ears flaming at his words. "Our tune must be in hearts," the she-cat gushed, attempting and failing to copy the Jinxclan tom's smooth words, the ones that made her tingle from whisker to paw. "My dad always said keepers finders, so I guess you have to keep me!" Touching her nose to his tentatively she added in what was an attempt at a coy tone, "Come on under. There's room of plenty and it's cozy."

Sorrelstar | She-cat | Fritillarystar, Tawnystar

Oh bother. Was she really that obvious? If the river had been nearer, and to that point, clearer, she could have checked her reflection and seen it rife with worry lines. Sorrelstar really didn't need to see her stress though, she could feel it. The tabby forced her smile wider, giving a cracking titter which sounded more like a cackle than a laugh. She really must be out of practice. "I'm perfectly perfect!" The leader insisted. "And so is Beechclan! Just ah, don't drink the water. It's nasty nasty!" She opted not to try laughing again, it and her high voice gave her both a headache and strained her scarred vocal cords

Smokewhisker nodded. "of course. By the way, how many cats are there in your clan?" he wondered. "if that's not too indiscreet, of course."

Casting a side-ways glance at the river that gurgled behind her, Fritillarystar curled her long tail around her paws. Sorrelstar was ever the odd-cat but it was moving how she tried to keep up appearances. ''Ah, thank you for the warning Sorrelstar.'' She dipped her head gratefully. Wouldn't want to get poisoned after all! Turning to the two others, Fritillarystar shuffled her paws awkwardly. A thick silence descended on them, smothering her and rendering her uncomfortable.

''I do not want this silence, Sorrelstar...why have you asked for this meeting?'' the tortoiseshell asked, hoping that Tawnystar had the same question on her mind. ''If it's to strengthen our ties, I'll gladly do so.''

"Give the she-cat a goldfish!" Sorrelstar mewed, settling into her normal lower voice for the sake of her throat. "You have it spot on! Do you have mind powers or something? The gathering is always too loud and too busy! Great for making friends but you never can talk to them!" Not to mention the shouting and the shoving would lead to headaches later that night and droopy eyes the next day. Pushing away her grouchy train of thought, Sorrelstar flashed her grin at the pair again, they were receptive so far and she could use that. "Our clans are 'friends' but I barely know anything about Moorclan or Blueclan! I bet they're super interesting!"

his eyes glittered with an obvious hint, but he waited to see if this slightly air-head she-cat would notice before being more blunt with her.

"i would very much like that." he said with a happy grin, "then maybe we could give each other the large families we want?"

his eyes were hopeful, and hinting at something else, as he stared deeply into her eyes.

"Jinxclan is a rather quiet clan, nothing really interesting is happening. although there is some fancy talk about things among the cats. i am not sure what to believe, but i am trying to stay as impartial as possible." he said, and started to feel uncomfortable.

he was bridging into a place that he had sworn he would not tell, and he felt like he needed to change the subject fast.

"have you ever thought of having kits?" he blurted out, slightly embarrassed at the sudden and awkward change of subject.

Dandelionbloom gave the tuxedo tom a slight confused grin, trying to read his shining eyes. The darting orbs both intrigued and excited her but she felt as if they would always hold some mystery she would never understand. "We could?" she breathed, still staring into Tux's eyes, "How?" Whatever Tux had in mind, Dandelionbloom was happy to go along with it. She loved him and his eyes said he loved her, she knew the look. Stormripple had looked at her mother that way when- "Oh!" The she-cat took in a sharp surprised breath, her fur flushing with embarrassment at how long it took her to process. "Yes then. Yes."
