Momomoon | She-cat | Honeyfur
Momo visibly recoiled, tears stinging her eyes. She had only meant it in a teasing way and now Honeyfur was lurching around, hissing like the very act of being around the bobtail was painful. She took a step forwards and then several back. "I'm sorry? I didn't mean to upset you like this? Are you- are you alright?" The she-cat bit her lip, wanting to give the medicine cat a comforting nuzzle, though admittedly for more reasons than just comfort, but judging that such an action might just make Honeyfur lash out again and this time, at her. So instead Momo just stood there at an awkward impasse with the pretty she-cat that made it so hard to look away.
Barkknot | She-cat | Soulclan
For a moment Barkknot bristled. She hadn't meant to share such a foolish Thought out loud, not one of the rare comforting ones her mind crafted for her. The sister's laughter felt like a violation, but it also felt like the truth. The tabby's tail drooped until it was dragging against the ground and her head hung low. Her beaten pelt, though sun warmed as it was, felt like a prison in its own right. "I didn't mean it like that," the poor she-cat whispered, the stupidity of her statement echoing with each of the sister's giggles. But their laughter gradually died away and something better replaced it; promises, hope, offers even such a cautious and downtrodden cat could not say no to. Images of the potential ways she could spend these precious moments flashed before her tired eyes. Hunting, swimming- oh how she'd love to pretend to be a warrior again. Reminiscing- no. She had done enough of that in the cave. But patrolling a border? If Claywhistle or Sorrelstar were there could she control herself from running back to them, from betraying the sister's trust and putting them and her family in danger? And if it were somecat else, could she stand the embarrassment? The hateful looks she would get? No. Barkknot shivered and put the tantalizing offer of visiting Beechclan far from her mind. She wished for the comfort of another cat, one who loved her, one who perhaps didn't even hear about her situation. Tanglestep. I have to find Tanglestep. He's the reason you're in this mess. He told you to give in to your Thoughts. No! It's not his fault, just mine. But I have to see him. Barkknot felt herself filled with a sudden need to see the tom she loved, her claws digging into the dirt anxiously. "Please, can we go to the Aspenclan border?"
Dandelionbloom | She-cat | Tux
The infatuated she-cat giggled at Tux's touch, the coolness of which stuck with her on such a warm green-leaf night. "There's much not to know," Dandelionbloom tittered, "I'm not the most interesting. Two dads one mom, grew up in Beechclan. Daughter by love not blood." Suddenly the she-cat adopted a rather uncharacteristic smirk and wobbled to her paws. "I am the best in the hide-and-seek at clan. Let's play, you'll find never me!" Her boast was a bit of an exaggeration. Dandelionbloom tended to forget she was even playing hide-and-seek, often leaving if she was the seeker or wandering out into the open before 'it' had even finished counting. But she was feeling playful at the moment, her thin tabby tail sweeping over the grass as she batted at Tux's tie. "Please?"
