Caitlin sat there. Marck got up and headed towards the door. Caitlin sat there looking at the book. She glanced up at the door to see a dark figure standing outside it in front of Jordan. She didn't hear the first few words Jordan said but she heard something about ten o'clock. She couldn't exactly make out their features but she figured it was Jordan's dad or brother.

"Work was cut off by an incoming snowstorm. We'll be locked up inside for a couple days." his dad said. Jordan instantly looked at Caitlyn. "Dad, I have a friend over. We're working on the science project." he said. "Is there enough time to get her home?"

Caitlin looked back at the door. She heard what they had said and wondered what would happen if she couldn't get home.

His dad considered it for a moment. "Well, we have about ten minutes 'till the storm starts up." he said. "So i'd say we have fifteen minutes to get her home and back," he said "But we 'aint letting her go alone."

Caitlin smiled, he seemed kind, bye that remark she figured it was Jordan's dad at the door. She stood up and closed her science book, she was done with it for now.

"How far away is your house?" Jordan asked, facing Caitlin. "Do you know?"

Caitlin thought for a moment,"Uh maybe 4-7 minutes?"Caitlin said not completely sure,"I would say 7 just to be safe." Caitlin hated her friends seeing her house. The large brick house was almost threatening, she hated it she wanted back her smaller 3 bedrooms house she had with her dad, not this 5+ roomed house. She figured she would just get out a street or 2 away and walk to her house from there.
Caitlin nodded and said,"Yeah 7 minutes sounds about right."

Jordan's dad sighed. "Walking distance or driving distance?" he asked, " 'cause it'll be hard to drive, there'll be traffic from people tryin'a get home." he said in his gruff voice.

"Uhh that's probably walking, I think,"Caitlin's face turned slightly pink as she spoke,"I'm newer to the area and I don't come over to this area much so I'm not sure but 7-10 is about walking."Cailin thought for another moment.

Jordan's dad sighed. "Can you text your parents and ask 'em?" he grumbled. Jordan hoped that Caitlin would make it home safely...
