Poppystar replied to the fluffy white tom, "Oh come on, without you I would've stuck to my old kittypet ways." She laughed a bit. "I missed you as well. It was hard not to have company over the seasons," she stated. Her ears turned to him in an alert manner. She had forgot to tell him her own clan's name, the she-cat wasn't surprised. "Hickoryclan. It would be great to form an alliance," she told the tom, giving him a smile in return.

Mosspelt nodded his head. "My clan has been on the safer side as well.. but Poppystar tends to have sleeping problems. Any suggestions?" he asked, considering any answers from the other medicine cats around him. He turned around to the newest medicine cat joining the party.

Softstep looked around for another cat to talk to. He was considering joining his two friends, Ashenstorm and Bumblebelly but he might as well give them some space. He finally spotted another tom. "Hello! I'm Softstep of Hickoryclan," he beamed.

Ashenstorm and Bumblebelly both laughed among the two warriors. "We are a newer clan, but we are growing steadily," the tom replied, a bit of pride in his tone. Bumblebelly was already filling his head with thoughts of becoming deputy; he might as well act the part. "I'd like to think we're growing a bit fast, I hope the clan doesn't catch any sickness during this harsh leafbare," the she-cat exclaimed.

Crowcloud turned to Mosspelt. "Well, poppy seeds are good relaxants. So is lavender. Those usually help with sleeping problems." Although sadly, nothing could put to sleep a kitten determined to be awake. The whole clan had been awakened more than once when the now apprentices were still young kits, and everyone had heard Duckpelt's attempts to get them to sleep. Crowcloud had been called in many times to calm them.

Duckpelt nodded. "We've also been growing quickly," she said, "especially the past six moons. Between our kits and the new warriors...everyone has their jaws full!" When Bumblebelly mentioned sickness, her muzzle curled into a silent snarl. "We've been lucky so far; Birchnose rotates the patrols enough that no one is sent out more than once a day."

"And no one's gotten sick," chimed in Acornstream. "We hope that it will stay that way."

Appleheart's fur grew hot when she gave him a slight nuzzle and he quickly looked down at his paws in embarrassment, trying not to smile. This was replaced by a look of surprise and a bit of concern shortly after. "What? What do you mean? What happened? Is everything okay? Do you need any help?"

"She'll be fine, I'm sure," Willowcloud mewed. "She has a skilled medicine cat to look after her."

"I-I'm fine, I wasn't s-scared..." Cinderdawn mewed quietly. Great StarClan, he couldn't imagine what his mother and sister would think of him right now, so shy and awkward. "Prey is good, I guess. It is leaf-bare though.... H-how is EclipseClan? - that's your Clan, right? EclipseC-Clan?"

"Oh, hello," Falconchaser meowed with a dip of his head. "I'm Falconchaser of LeafClan. It's nice to meet you."

The young warrior's face lit up when a soft mew sounded near her. "Hello!" she meowed happily. "I'm Heatherpond, a LeafClan warrior. New warrior actually - my ceremony was just a couple days ago! What Clan are you from?"

"And this is the Gathering place!" Russetpaw announced to her sister Brightpaw, who hadn't been to a Gathering before. The calico's eyes widened at the sight of so many cats in one place. "I-it's so crowded here..." she whimpered quietly. Russetpaw laughed, "Oh, you'll get used to it. Come on, we're gonna have so much fun!" She charged off into the crowd, leaving her sister with no choice but to follow her.

The fluffy white tom smiled at the molly "Great! Briarclan and Hickoryclan are now allies and should live peacefully. I will announce it to my clan later after the gathering." Cloudstar meant every word he said and was genuinely happy that she accepted. This means that they would not fight and could still be friends.

"I was born into another clan, not a story I like to share to be honest. It was there I learned how to be a medicine cat but I had banished myself and Starclan had sent me to Briarclan. I was given my full name during the dream that lead me to Cloudstar." Archpool explained to Crowcloud before turning to Mosspelt "I find juniper berries to be best but they are never around during leaf bare. Maybe you can find Goatweed? It is a strange plant found near water, has oval shaped leaves. One of the leaf every day to help anxiety or grief." Hopefully he got the name of the herb right, it has been a while since he heard of goatweed because berries were easier and they tasted better as well. "Although she can just be excited so if you don't want to use many herbs just keep her busy, have her hunt a lot." The tom added before looking at Crowcloud "Is there anything else you would recommend?"

"I am a new warrior as well! My clan is Briarclan, they found me on a patrol and I passed the trial to become a warrior." Fawnwillow meowed with a bit more confidence now. Even though she was a bit older than the new warrior she was the same size and found this molly to be nice. "This is my first gathering, it is pretty over whelming I think, with all these strange cats."

Crowcloud nodded as he listened to Archpool's story. Why had he banished himself? Surely he couldn't have done something that horrible. In any case, the past was the past and the future was all that mattered at the present. He smiled inwardly at the pun. When Archpool turned back to him, Crowcloud shook his head hastily. "Not really," he said. "Taking walks might also be good. Maybe hunt a couple times a day and a walk before settling down for the night, and if that doesn't work, give her some herbs." Between exercise and herbs, no cat should be able to stay awake at night. Except for kits. They were odd. Okay, maybe it was just Boulderpaw and Barleypaw.

the clan gathered and chose cats to go to the gathering very quickly and head off soon after. the cats chosen to go were of course willowstar, brackenheart and maplewhisker and for the warriors they brought eaglestrom and fluffyberry. once the cats arrived after their small journey sedgeclan's representatives started to spread out and chat with cats from the other clans.

"im guessing your clan has been to many gatherings before? this is my second." she said before she turned around to see the she-cat squirrelstar asked where her leader was. "im not sure who sagestar is but may he rest peacefully in starclan." she meowed to swanstar.

"thanks! i hope everything else is going fine in your clan?" the sedgeclan medicine cat asked willowcloud.

the two cats head out together even though fluffyberry refused to chat. maplewhisker was with her which comforted her a bit but she was still overwhelmed by all these cats. maplewhisker searched for someone they could talk with.

eaglestorm walked over to another tom who looked as if he was also a warrior. eaglestorm tried to start conversation. "hello, im eaglestorm of sedgeclan. who are you?" he introduced himself.

"I suppose you'll find out tonight." Mintstar meowed to the TumbleClan leader, referring to when all the Clan leaders would announce the recent going-ons in their Clans. She had to admit she was quite curious in what Swanstar had to say, and if there would be any kind of memorial for Sagestar, but it seemed pushy to ask that out loud.

Aspenheart's heart clenched to hear Rosefur chuckle and smile at him again as he knew he was the reason for her acting so bright. He remembered the day they had last spoken, the heavy rains had suited his friend's saddened mood as she told him how her Clan had to leave and how she might never see him again. It hurt his heart too, knowing there was a possibility that he would lose his first friend forever, which he reasoned was why he falsely proclaimed he loved her.
The tom never had anyone to talk to in PineClan, he soiled his reputation back when he was an apprentice for his brusque behavior towards everyone, and no one would talk to him without feeling awkward about it. Rosefur was the first cat to truly feel comfortable around him, and he relished in finally having a friend even though they were from different Clans. But it did hurt him to lie, and even now he struggled to think about how to confess about it. "I missed you too." Aspenheart meowed softly, this time it was truth as he really did miss his friend. "And is everything alright in TumbleClan?" He asked, curious about what happened in the moons she had been gone. It must not have been as bad as he thought it was, seeing as she acted the way she used to before her Clan left.

The molly nodded to his cheerful statement. She was happy she still could be friends with Moka, just not as close as she would have hoped. "Has your clan ran into problems? Luckily mine hasn't caught any sickness from this moon's leafbare," she beamed. The leader had been working her tail off trying to give everyone to rest she had barely remembered to give herself rest.

Mosspelt agreed, the clan did have some poppy seeds in store. "I'll probably go herb hunting later. Thanks for the suggestions, it's probably her worrying that's getting in the way," the tom commented. He wrapped his tail around his build, it was getting colder by the day. "It's great to talk to more experienced medicine cats," the tom smiled, giving a complement to the others.

Bumblebelly froze and became a little quiet, it was bad to talk about sicknesses spreading. That causes fear and then finally you reach anger. She had a problem of talking to much and ending up saying the wrong things. "We have been trying to follow the same path but it's hard to switch patrols when the clan is the size as ours, but like we said it's growing steadily," he chimed in.

a late group of cats arrived at the clearing, quickly dispersing into the crowd of cats. a ginger tom walked up to the leader's rock and easily jumped onto it. his clan-mates walked off into groups of two, each group going into a different direction.

foxstar nodded a hello to all the leaders gathered on the high-rock. he went in a corner, curling his tail around his paws, he patiently waited for another leader to come say hi.

smokeleaf walked over to the other medicine cats, doveflight following him. they both didn't want to be alone in their corner, so they decided to stay together during the gathering. they both sat down with the other healers, listening to other cats' conversations.

littlestep immediately sat down in a corner of the gathering place, not wanting to have to socialize like she did last time. she kept a small smile on her face, but inside, she was fuming. tigerpaw sat quietly beside her mentor, looking at all the cats gathered at the gathering.
