Kaulaur 'Drift' Hadar of Nimburu | Female | Nandu | Tags: Aria, Orion, Oscar
Kaulaur gave a quick nod of acknowledgement to the new arrival, then narrowed her eyes at the smaller creature, biting back a number of rather rude responses she could have given. She wanted to think of the creature as insolent, but then again, it wasn't as if she had ever been put under the control of the Nandu ex-sovereign heir/military general. She was well within her rights. That didn't stop her from wanting to put the little ball of tinder in its place, but she quickly took a deep breath and let the situation go. Ordinarily, she had a more placid disposition; and in dangerous situations, she cared more that she survived than if her pride was intact. Not that she had any pride or honor left; back in her youth she would have taken the mammal's attitude as an insult, but her contempt and annoyance with it- her- was also tinged with some respect. Here was someone who wasn't a criminal and had not left her planet to die. So on some level, she had nothing to hold against her. Had it known who she was, she could not have prayed for such a welcoming attitude.
But the fact that she wasn't a criminal didn't mean she could handle the situation better than Kaulaur could. Right now, the playing field of social stigmas had been evened. It was about time everyone came to accept that.
She turned to the other two and looked them up and down quickly. One of them looked like a fuzzy, spotted white mammal, except with a humanoid body plan; she'd never seen one, though admittedly she didn't get out much. The other intrigued her as well: he had transformed from the bird she'd seen earlier, assuming her eyes weren't playing tricks on her. There would be time later for inquiries. "Would the two of you round everyone up and get them to the rooms? The bigger rooms are best if possible. Tell them to stay near the back, away from the door, and block the crack beneath it with a jacket or some form of clothing if they are able. They should also cover their mouths with some cloth filter when they come out. I will go speak with the bania," she finished, gesturing to the dragon. "And damn it, hurry up. We don't have time to spend on crowd control. Let's just get this over with."

Fastrade tilted her head slightly. Sailor? Was that a joke, or some sort of recent human slang she was unaware of? Spaceship- sailor? She was sure she'd heard that analogy before, seeing as so much of space travel had vocabulary based off early human nautical terms. Either way, she decided the woman was not an immediate threat, and allowed her posture to loosen, cocking her hip and resting both hands on her waist.
"I wouldn't mind if I knew, but unfortunately I'm a bit scrambled seeing as whatever happened disconnected me from... well, the entirety of my body- I mean, the ship. All I appear to have access to is my own system, which I'm guessing was transcribed to this shell. I've been completely cut off from all systems that don't belong to my own files directly." She shook her head in disbelief and ran her hand down the wall, then rubbed her fingers together. "If I do have answers, there's something blocking them off- maybe a firewall or something, I don't know. It feels like we're on a planet of some sort, though, with gravity pretty much spot-on with Earth's, or at least according to the shoddy sensor readings I'm getting."
