Cypress looked at the freshkill pile silently. It was full which meant the clan cats were good hunters and their territory teemed with prey. That was all good and well but what about leaf-bare? How much prey did the clan catch then? He glanced at Lozen and Laurel, hoping they'd get enough prey during leaf-bare.

Lichenflower glanced at Otterpaw, concerned. Otterpaw looked frightened at the prospect of having the end of her tail removed but it had to be done. "It's better for her to have a short tail than a mangled tail." She murmured.

lozen sighed then walked along with blizzardheart as he showed them all of the dens.

bluemoon nodded. "alright, i'll do it," she said. she then got a stick and handed it to otterpaw. "bite down on this," she said then took a deep breath and turned to lichenflower and runningtail. "you might not want to look." [ fade. ]

As Blizzardheart showed them the nursery, Laurel listened to the soft mewling of the kits. "Can we see the kits?" She asked.

Lichenflower stood beside Otterpaw, eying the apprentice's tail. "She'll be okay now right?" She asked Bluemoon.

blizzardheart nodded. "yes, as long as lunarsky says it's okay," he said.

bluemoon nodded. "yes, it will need to heal though," she said to lichenflower.

[tauriel.]

Laurel nodded, waiting for him to ask the queen if it was okay to see the kits.

Lichenflower nodded. "Of course. Thanks Bluemoon."

blizzardheart quickly got approval from lunarsky. "come in, come in," the queen said excitedly. "they are both toms and their names are slatekit and stormkit," she told the new warriors. "and it's nice to see that new warriors are coming into our clan," she said.

bluemoon nodded. "be sure to keep her out of trouble and get her to rest well," she said to lichenflower. "i won't keep her in my den but make sure she is resting."

[tauriel.]

Laurel looked down at the kits her eyes wide. "They're so small and cute." She murmured.

"We'll try but knowing Otterpaw, she'll be out hunting as soon as she can." Lichenflower gently ushered the apprentice to her den.

lunarsky purred. "thank you, they were just born yesterday," she said with a smile.

bluemoon nodded. "just tell her to be careful," she said to lichenflower.

"Congratulations." Laurel purred. The kits still had their eyes closed and sqeauked softly as they crawled around.

Lichenflower nodded. "We will."

lunarsky purred once again. "well the clan could always use new kits and i am happy to have my kits here," she said to laurel.

bluemoon nodded then watched runningtail walk with lichenflower out of her den.
