Mani frowned slightly, and glanced around. Wasn't she close enough to the moon? Or did she have to get closer? There was a boat, and trees, and the lake, but none of those would help her. She had to get closer...somehow, and her wings would go in full effect.

[hypnowave]

Castor made his way to the dock. It looked new, its wooden planks clean and glinting, as if recently polished. There was a rope tied to it, which led to the boat. As Castor walked all the way there, he took note of the scenery. Although the light of the moon was faint, he still loved what he saw. He made it to the dock, where he tugged on the rope to pull the boat closer.

Mani let her gaze wonder after the other wolf as he went over to the dock, and she noticed a boat that was tied to it. Slowly, the wolf made her way over, just as Castor was pulling the boat closer. She watched for a moment, wondering if he needed any help with getting it closer - she'd help if it was needed.

The boat reached the dock as Mani arrived. Castor didn't say anything as he peered into the boat, noticing oars and a flashlight. He got in the boat with his wings maintaining his balance. He handed Mani the flashlight and took the oars. He knew how they worked, and he held the boat close and hoped she wouldn't fall in the water.

Mani took the flashlight when it was handed to her, and she inspected it. She then carefully climbed into the boat, when she was sure it was steady. She then sat down, making sure it didn't rock too much, before she looked out across the water, and she flicked an ear.

[hypnowave]

Castor used the oars. It took more muscle work than he thought, but he managed to slowly row towards the center of the enormous lake. All around the water's edge, he glimpsed the light grow brighter, gradually enough for him to spot even more details. He was, at this point, only a quarter to the middle of the lake.

Mani watched Castor use the oars to get the boat moving. She flicked an ear in interest, and she was sure not to move too much. They were slowly, but surely, making their way towards the center of the lake, where the light was getting brighter - which would cause her to glow a little brighter.

[hypnowave]

It got awkward too soon. Castor, tongue-tied, swallowed and focused on the oars, but it was obvious that he was trying to avoid looking at her. It was too hard, but he managed to go with it. He didn't know whether he ought to speak or not.

Mani looked out to the water, watching it - she could tell the other was avoiding looking at her, but she had no idea why. She said nothing, enjoying the silence for now.

They were halfway to the center of the lake. Castor could've sworn that the lake was smaller than this when he looked at it from above, because it was huge. He kept rowing, and for once he risked a glance at Mani, in order to see what would happen to her.
