foxstar turned to look at a talking pair of leaders when one of them asked to the assembled leaders how their clans were doing. the tom approached with a friendly smile on his face, as he was tired of staying alive in his corner. "hello. my clan is doing very well, my mate recently gave birth to three kits and two cats joined our ranks." the proud father beamed, purring at the mention of his mate and kits.

● smokeleaf/doveflight - around 20 moons/19 moons - male/female - with other medicine cats - tags...
smokeleaf walked over to the other medicine cats, the new warrior, doveflight coming along. the silver tabby seemed to enjoy his company, and the feeling was mutual. he didn't go to the last gathering since briarleap was heavily pregnant, so he hoped that he would make some friends. the grey long-haired tom curled his tail around his paws, doveflight sitting down beside him.

● littlestep/tigerpaw - around 20 moons/7 moons - both females - tags...
littlestep walked around the gathered cats, tigerpaw following her mentor like she was her shadow. the apprentice didn't want witherclan to see her and bring her back to their camp. luckily for the molly, witherclan didn't seem to have come. tigerpaw still stayed hidden behind littlestep, just in case.

willowstar, maplewhisker, brackenheart, hawknose and crowfur.

once the clan arrived everybody started to mingle. willowstar went up to chat with the leaders, maplewhisker went with the deputies, brackenheart met up with the medicine cats and the two warriors started to look for some other cats to talk to.

"i think it was around four moons ago. starclan sent me a dream telling me to form the clan and that i was destined to be their first leader. i agreed and here i am now." she replied.

"oh hi! im brackenheart, medicine cat of sedgeclan. nice to meet you appleheart and willowcloud. hows your clan going? any bouts of sickness any injuries?" the tortoisehsell and white medicine cat replied cheerfully.

"oh umm hello, im maplewhisker of sedgeclan. hows it all going in briarclan?" the young(ish) deputy asked the deputy of briarclan.

hawknose - tags: littlestep, tigerpaw
the young tabby tom walked up to a nice looking pair of an apprentice and their mentor. "hello, im hawknose of the newly formed sedgeclan." he meowed to them "who are you two?".

Cloudstar listened as the others talked, he didn't feel like he had to share much about his clan so he didn't reply to some of the other leader's questions. He was just fine listening to some of the others, though the bit about five new apprentices' was intriguing. He was glad they had a far to unfamiliar scent, hopefully they are far from his clan. His clan only consisted of three cats for now and he had no intention of sharing that information. The fluffy white tom scooted off to the side before sitting on his paws, watching and listening to the others.

"Pleasure to meet you." Bouldershade meowed before sitting down and neatly wrapping his tail around his paws. The cool leaf-fall air was starting to get to him but he resisted the urges to shiver. "Briarclan is fairing quite well, our ranks are building and every cat is healthy." The stoic tom meowed, he was sure this would be enough information and it wasn't sharing much information. "How about Sedgeclan? Everything going alright there?" he questioned the tom.

"It is nice to meet you guys, I find it fun to meet a lot of cats. The cats so far in Briarclan are not much of talkers so I am glad we got to come here for the gathering." Owldust rambled, it had just struck her that she might have let to much information about her clan slip but she pushed that thought off to the side. "This is my very first gathering and you three are the very first cats I have met from a different clan." the bubbly molly meowed. "Have you guys been warriors long? I am still pretty new to it but Cloudstar is such a great leader.." Owldust trailed off cheerfully.

"hello! we're both from mapleclan! i'm littlestep and this here is my apprentice tigerpaw. how is your clan doing? we have three kits in our nursery!" the warrior meowed cheerfully at the tom.

"thats great news! new litters of kits always bring more warriors. our clan has a queen who'll kits are due very soon. she isn't here tonight but we hope that her litter will bring more joy to the clan." hawknose replied contently chatting with the mapleclan tom trying not to give away any secrets about his clan and trying not to be too friendly.

"LeafClan is doing well, thank you. We recently had five kits become apprentices, so the warriors certainly have their paws full mentoring them all," she chuckled. "How are your Clans faring?"

"Everything's pretty much normal, I guess. Prey's been good, but it should be declining a bit with leaf-bare just around the corner," he mewed. "How are things in ForestClan?"

"We are doing just fine, thank you," Willowcloud mewed. "Well, we do have a warrior who is injured and needs cobwebs, which we haven't been able to find any of.... But otherwise we're great!"

Bored, Appleheart began to search the group of gathered medicine cats for Brindlecloud. Spotting the dilute calico, he quickly excused himself from the conversation with Willowcloud and the SedgeClan medicine cat and bounded toward his friend. "Brindlecloud!" he called.

Birchwing found himself giving a quiet chuckle at the BriarClan warrior's talkative, upbeat attitude. "Yeah, I've been a warrior for a little while now. I was born and raised in LeafClan," he added proudly.

"We're doing great, thank you!" Heatherpaw mewed. At his second question, she let out a soft chuckle, "No, we're not new. We have around thirty members. How many are in your Clan?"

Dewpaw held both his head and tail low as he slowly followed his sister and her friend - at a reasonable distance - into the clearing. It was his first Gathering, but he wasn't going to be able to enjoy it, not with Russetpaw here. Unsure of what to do with himself, he slunk off to the edge of the clearing, away from the crowd.

Practically born to juggle talking to one cat then another, Russetpaw eagerly greeted the BeechClan apprentices while giggling a bit at how the tom had just walked up and interrupted - which she didn't mind. Hey, the more cats she could talk to, the better! "Hi there!" she mewed to Sandpaw and Carppaw. "I'm Russetpaw! Are you from BeechClan? I thought the scent was familiar."

The short-haired tom sat still as he watched the cats talk along. He really didn't have much to say about his clan so he just sat by and watched. The tom shifted his paws as he turned his gaze up to the pretty sky above him. The colorful leaves of Leaf-fall flew by and he felt the soft wind hitting his eagle feather that was calmly resting around his right ear. The leaves that flew by made him happy and calm on the inside. But he was a little sad because Leaf-bare was coming his way and fast. He was going to miss the calm season of Leaf-fall but it was going to come back someday. He had his full attention on the sky now, not paying attention to a single cat's conversation.

"Congratulations," said Honeystar warmly to Emberstar and Foxstar. "Forestclan is doing very well, thank you. Duckpelt's kits have recently turned two moons old, and we have a new warrior. His name was Aspenfire, but he requested it changed. He is now called Alderclaw." This was a silent test, because while Foxstar and Emberstar may not have known about Streamclan, some of the other clan leaders nearby might. Maybe one would react...?

"Pretty good too," said Birchnose. "The prey has been running very well; we almost always catch something, although I'm worried about the coming of leafbare. I hope that no one gets sick in any clan."

Acornstream's ears flattened in embarrassment. "Whoops," he said with a chuckle. "Well, we have thirteen at last count, including me. I also have four kits!" he stated proudly. Indeed, he was proud of how quickly his four had been progressing. Applepaw had preferred to stay away from them, stating that he didn't like kits very much, but they seemed oddly attached to him. It was adorable.

"Well," said Dawnstorm, pleased to have someone to talk to, "I've been a warrior for about two moons. I've never met anyone from another clan either."

"Or one?" asked Briarwhisker.

"I guess it depends on how you count," he replied.

"True," she conceded. "I've been a warrior for two or three moons. And none of us have been born into the clan," she said. "Well, except for Duckpelt's kits. But they're only two moons."

Applepaw nodded. He noticed that Tigerpaw was certainly more cheerful; maybe he had been in a bad mood the last time. "Yeah, I'm Applepaw," he said. He liked Mistpaw from the get-go. She seemed nice and confident. "Is this your first Gathering?"

When two more apprentices arrived, Applepaw turned towards them. He was about to greet them when the tom started talking first. He cracked a grin when Carppaw cried out her brother's name, obviously embarrassed. "Hi," he said. "I'm Applepaw of Forestclan. What clan are you from?" A moment later, he realized that Russetpaw had already answered the question. Beechclan. Huh. He'd never heard of that one. So many clans! "Sorry, nevermind."

Bouldershade only nodded to the tom, he had a feeling he could get along just fine with Maplewhisker. He only sat in silence for a little and watched as everyone around him seemed to be mingling with others. "Gatherings are so strange.." he muttered out loud, mostly to himself but did not mind if Maplewhisker heard him or not.

"Wow! Do you think you are treated different for being a clan born cat?" Owldust meowed to Birchwing, she couldn't help but wonder if he was treated with more respect. "I am the newest member to Briarclan and I am pretty new to being a warrior, but that won't stop me from being the best." A hint of pride in the Persian cat's voice. "Forestclan has kits? I think kits are so cute, being little balls of fluff and playing with just about anything." The molly purred. "Oh! Do you guys remember some of the games you use to play as a kit?" She couldn't help but ask as she thought about it herself. Though not really giving them much time to answer she went ahead and asked "What do cats usually do at a gathering anyways? Is there suppose to be something happening?"

Briarwhisker cracked a smile. "Yeah, they're pretty adorable and they've only just learned to talk." She had to think hard to remember what she did as a kit. "Well, I played with my siblings a lot, and with a ball called yarn. It's kind of like moss, except it comes apart into strings really easily."

"I used to play with my siblings too," said Dawnstorm. "Until I was kicked out, that is." He paused before continuing. "And I think that we're supposed to just talk to other cats. And then the leaders announce some stuff and we all go home."
