"2," the Platform chirped.

DVS hmphed in reply, moving his piece two squares. "I say 'Does anyone want to see something cool?' and then end my turn."

"Alrighty then... Player Six is making her roll remotely!" Bon Voidage proclaimed.

"7."

Bon Voidage proceeded to drop her mask directly into the bathroom. "I lock myself in."

"...is this some sort of ridicule?" Lazarus asked.

"No. It's just a strategy. I also turn on the tap... and... wash my hands. I end my turn."

oh my gosh Bon Voidage's strategy for this game is going to be so horrible I think she has a chance to win. I don't wanna give anything away but I also wanna scream it from the rooftops because you already know her goal and I feel like you MIGHT wanna know? Idk just... tell me your pref.]]

"4," said the Platform, as Scorpius tapped zir card.

"Right. Okay then. I'm torn because, I mean, I definitely do want to see something cool but... ferrets can move twice as quick as humans - so that's eight squares I can go actually, and, uh, they're small enough to get under doors!" Ze dropped zir mask in the bathroom, and waved at Bon Voidage. "I wanna know what's happening!"

((don't tell me, scorps is Investigating! I also don't actually remember her goal at all?? i might look it up but idk it's fun being as oblivious as scorps is.

i know it's caz and aurion's go next but i need to get to bed and i don't want to risk them starting a ridiculous fight it takes me a while to write about asghdagsdsggasd sorry))

"Oh- snap. I- alright. Uh... The sink is running. Does the Platform have sound effects?"

The Platform started making the noise of a tap running.

"Oh, cool. Uh..." She decided to do a voice for her character, some sort of accent. "Hello, small animal. I have... No good answers for you. Please... begone. I have... uh, things to attend to! Bathroom... things...?" She laughed awkwardly, switching out of the accent. "I turn on the bath tap. Uh... Roll me a die really quick, Platform?"

"...7." the Platform replied after changing the noises to be even waterier.

"The sink is now overflowing!"

The Plaform's noises changed again, now to noises it saw fit for this... abundance of water.

"I make an expression of everything being absolutely fine and normal!" She also did this expression physically, smiling a cautious smile. "... The interaction can have this many actions, right?"

"Uh... Sure!" Lazarus proclaimed, honestly quite confused with this interaction and why Bon Voidage felt the need to turn on all the water, but found it amusing.

DVS, in the other hand, just looked boggled, Lucas seemed to just be intently listening and watching as his face twitched occasionally, holding back some kind of emotion, and Lucdust being as dusty as ever.

"Okay, uh, I... how easily can ferrets drown? Do I need to get out of here?"

"Nope!" said Cazenar. "You need to shut up and let me have my turn. "Platform! Move my mask!"

"3."

"Right. I move over to you-" he pointed at DVS "-And demand you show me the cool thing. As part of my turn. Before Aurion gets his."

"Your childish antics will never distract me from your goal, Vampyroteuthilda!"

"Sure, if your goal's to sit around not doing anything all night. Because you're being really good at that..."

"Do not test me."

"Yeah, don't," said Scorpius. "Lucas and Lazarus got tonight's boardgame duel. You guys will have to start a fight in your own time."

"Ah, yes... I brandish a deck of cards and say "Nice to meet ya. Now... pick a card. Go on." I do that... weird... shuffly... flippy... thing," DVS did a more mild version of this in his hands with his own cards, careful to face the face sides toward him, attempting to mimic a shuffling trick he vaguely remembered. "And... this motion reveals a full deck of cards, facing the face sides toward... uh, whoever Cazenar's playing."

[[And here we have "DVS doesn't know any actual magic tricks so he's going with stock ones and is going to try his best to improvise them from there." Hopefully he can make up some magic tricks and proclaim them to be from... his home narrative. Hopefully.]]

"Right, so, I complain, because I demanded to see something cool, not a boring card trick, and then I guess I pick a card. Am I supposed to say what card I've picked? Because that might give him a bit of an advantage in trying to guess it..."

"I become...Slightly disheartened at your complaining. But then I... uh, hey, is there a way to ask the Platform something without revealing it to everyone else?" DVS asked in the general direction of Lucas, Lazarus, and Lucdust.

"NOPE JUST GO FOR IT. YOU CAN DO WHAT THEY DO IN THOSE TABLETOP GAMES IF IT FAILS OR ISN'T ALLOWED OR SOMETHING," Lucdust spelled. "JUST CRITICAL FAIL IT AND MAKE A FOOL OUT OF YOURSELF!"

"...I don't like the sound of that, but alright. Uh, Platform, with the power of illusion and magic, I invoke the ferret into our interaction, perhaps... uh... also invoking the power of a random event? And... uh... my... what is this..." DVS read over his character card again. "Arcane knowledge that I read in the third grade but mostly forgot?!"

"...Allowed if rolled high enough, a 10 or higher. Do you wish to try?"

DVS glanced nervously at the Platform, its glow a cold, inquiring blue. "Yes."

There was tense silence in the air for a moment.

"16."

"Oh my gosh..." DVS sighed a sigh of relief. "I say, "Alright, alright, I can see you want more than just silly little card tricks. I'll bring out something... Better," and by some nondescript means, I manage to invoke the ferret into our interaction... despite the distance? Or... do, I like, move the ferret?"

"Despite the distance. I will not allow you to move another player with magic."

"Alright, despite the distance, there is now a ferret in our interaction and this is... probably impressive in-universe, but I am legitimately trying my best and I don't really know how this works? Okay, now I'm not even.sure whether or not I said that in character or not... uh... I take my card back, awkwardly, and... end the interaction? Unless either of you have anything to say about the ferret being invoked in a conversation." He looked awkwardly between Scorpius and Cazenar. "I don't think I'm that good at the roleplaying part."

"You're doing fine," Lazarus said "Don't worry, the chaos is a part of it."

"Uh... Thanks? I... don't know if the chaos thing is... happening?" DVS found this game quite... confusing. Or something along those lines. But he summoned a ferret into an interaction, at least?

"I mean... yeah, I guess I'd be at least kind of impressed if a ferret just appeared. Kind of a letdown that I don't get to see any actual, real life magic tricks though..."

"You're a sorcerer!" Aurion protested. "Why do you want to see a magic trick?"

"Um, have you ever seen a magic trick? Magicians have style most sorcerors can only dream of. Not me, of course. But most of them."

"Hey, if I've been summoned, can I do stuff?" said Scorpius. "Because I wanna bite Cazenar."

"I take my turn, while the rest of you are distracted by trivial magic tricks and ferrets," said Aurion.

"5."

Aurion moved his mask to an empty space. "I demonstrate the power of true magic," he stretched out his hand, a black flame crackling in it. "I am a master, in both game and reality."

"I don't know any real magic tricks..." DVS murmured in the midst of the interaction that had now suddenly ended.

"Alright, with that turn I... assume having ended, we are now to... follow the instructions of the Platform," Lazarus said.

"Close your eyes until instructed to open them."

"This is the part where the Platform does a bit of under-board altering, like, actually changing the appearance of it, occasionally, and this would be where any personal mask switching would happen. And if you're on the same tile, I think this is also the silent trade phase? But you have to activate that a certain way, and it's... I don't even know if I should go into that," Lazarus added with his eyes closed.

"You may now open your eyes."

The board now had the slight difference of the bathroom beginning to flood, and the small speaker from earlier being in a slightly different position because it was picked up.

Lucdust rolled, waltzing over to the snack table with a 6. "I SIP A DRINK. THAT'S ALL. END TURN."

Next up was Lazarus, who had decided if the flooding got any worse it was probably just best to head up to the mezzanine with his lucky-ish roll of a 9, which was added to by some random event of some sort.

Lucas got a 1, just scooting over by a tile. "Did we mention that pacing back and forth, despite being kind of cheesing it, is a valid turn? You just have to make sure your movement actually lands you where you were landed. And... it can be acknowledged in an interaction that you were just pacing back and forth and you might have to explain that in-character, so, fair warning on that."

"What do you think we should do now, Morgan?" Three asked. "Hmm, I am not certain drooling will be particularly useful in this situation. But I suppse this is a very chaotic game. You may be right. I... approach Lucas... and start drooling. And then, apparently, I shove my fist in my mouth, presumably to stop the drooling. Oh, no, that's just making it worse. My shoulder is completely wet now, thank you, Morgan."
