Madison had already laid down, of course, but had simply been laying on her side, watching it snow. She smiled when Norman kissed her, though the smile was short lived. She'd try her best to sleep, but she knew that they both knew neither of them were going to be able to. She was still content with just laying there though. There was enough time to leave her to her thoughts, let her mind wander..and she felt safe with Norman, as well. The safest she had felt in a long time. She let a soft sigh flutter out of her throat, closing her eyes although she knew she wouldn't find rest.

Norman smiled and wrapped an arm around Madison and tucked his head next to her arm, sliding his hand against he arms in soothing, slow circles. "Yeah. Everything's going to be alright, Maddy-Moo." He told soothingly. "Don't worry...it will be, it will be." He closed his eyes and winced again. The pain. He had been so worked up the past couple of days to stop and notice what was really going on around him. His ribs were killing him. He wanted so bad to take some medicine and make it go away, but he knew he couldn't. It wouldn't help. Not his condition, anyway. He laid there, snuggling with Madison, and winced through the pain and he wiggled under the covers.

Madison opened her eyes slightly when Norman began to squirm. "You okay?" she asked, her voice obviously concerned. She sat up in the bed a little, looking back at him. He looked to be in pain..probably his ribs, poor guy. "Should we get you some pain medication or something?" she asked. They had nothing better to do, and maybe medicine would help him sleep as well.

Norman looked up as he resettled back down in the covers and smiled. "Hm? Oh, uh, pain meds?" He nodded. "Yeah, yeah, I think the doctor sent some over, they're over there. By the dresser. Thanks!" He called with a loving smile. "Hey, uh, since you're a nurse, can you maybe..check them? You know, feel to see if they're alright or if I've broken them more," he mumbled under his breath, "Knowing me, I probably have." He rolled his eyes and smiled, snuggling back into the pillow.

Madison nodded, rising from the bed and retrieving the pills as he had asked. She also managed to find some glasses and poured him a glass of water. He'd probably need it, especially if he was taking medicine. She walked back over to him, handing him the meds and setting the glass on a nearby table. "Check them? I..I guess I could," she said unsurely. It had been a while since she had done that. She walked over to him and began feeling his ribs, using her memory the best she could to remember exactly how to check and see if something was broken. "Some are definitely broken, obviously, but I don't know if they're the same ones as before or not." she said with a frown.

Norman winced as he felt hands clasp around the shards that he called his ribs now. He let out a yelp, reaching over for the water glass and popping the pills in his mouth, swallowing and drinking them down in one gulp. "The quicker they get in my system, the better!" He screamed through the pain, whimpering and feeling tears sting in his eyes. They hurt worse than they ever had, and he wondered if they were getting worse. He laid back down, his head hitting the pillow, and he looked over at Madison and smiled weakly, grateful for all that she did. "Thanks." He whimpered lovingly, staring back down at his blood stained suit.

Madison immediately jerked her hands away once she was finished, terrified of causing him more pain. "I'm really sorry," she apologized quickly, though she knew that Norman knew she didn't do it on purpose. "Are you okay? I'm so sorry. It's just what I have to do to see if they're broken or not." she said, frowning. They felt terrible, honestly..but she decided not to say that. Besides, Norman was probably very well aware of that.

"It's ok, Maddy-Moo, it's not your fault." Norman whimpered again, looking over at her. "I understand that you have to do things to...make me feel better and what not." He clinched the covers in tight, huge balls under his palms. The pain. Oh, the pain. His ribs felt like they were haggard and broken. They were, no doubt. Jayden smiled through the pain and tapped the place beside him. "Here. Why don't you, uh, lay down and relax, try to take it easy." He suggested. He wasn't stressed anymore. No. The stress had subsided to pain, now. Blood curdling pain, he induced. But it was worth it. To save Ethan, it was worth it. He was too nice sometimes.

Madison sat down beside of him carefully, trying not to move the bed too much as she shifted into a more comfortable position. Norman was such a great guy. Even though him and Ethan had..uh, well, had it out, to say, just a few days earlier, he had still risked his life to save him. There weren't many people who would do that, but Norman did, and no one had to ask him to, she was sure. She sighed. How could she end up with such a nice, caring, wonderful man..
and still think about Ethan?

Norman smiled as Madison landed on the bed next to him, and he gently rolled over to her and smiled. "Yeah...remember that one time, a few hours ago, when we argued on who would take the bed, and i vowed to take the floor? Remember? " Jayden chuckled. "Well, thanks for sharing." He covered back up and just stared at her, a smile on his face. "How can you be so nice?" He asked with a sugary sweet grin, "And how did I get so lucky as to find you?" He leaned over and kissed her, closing his eyes as he did so, then returned back to his laying down position. "What do ya think, Maddy? Can ya sleep?" he whispered, a grin spreading across his face as if he knew the answer.
