Madison was staring out of the window absently, too absorbed in her thoughts to say much of anything. Her eyes followed the twinkling snow as it fell from the sky and landed gently on the ground, although it pelted the car from the speeds they were going. She blinked when he began speaking again, turning to face him. "I have to admit, I expected that," she said solemnly. "I just wonder why she'd tell you all this. There wasn't..well, there wasn't much of a point anymore," she said, looking back outside.
"I have a feeling she never meant for any of it to go this far, though.." she added.

"I don't know," Norman said as he pulled into the hotel parking lot. He then laughed. "I look like a murder victim. I can;t go out in the lobby looking like this!" he jokingly laughed as he looked desperately around the car. "Oh, she said she felt bad about doing all of that, so she wanted to let her slate me known before she died, I guess." Jayden shrugged as he dug through the car glove compartment, shifting and sliding his various guns and gadgets around. He found some wipes and he smiled, bringing them out. He looked over at Madison and smiled. "Can ya help?" he asked, handing her the container. "Get all of it off. Then, once we get up, I'll take a shower. Then sleep!"

Madison nodded. She guessed she could understand that. She would want to do the same. She then laughed. "I'll do what I can. I'm sure they'll understand, though..and besides, I'd hope no one would be up at this hour," she said, wincing, though she knew some people may have to go to work early. She took a couple of the wipes and scrubbed at the blood. The suit was stained, so of course not all of it came off, but she got as much of it as she could. "There," she said, balling the used tissues up in her hand. "That better?" she asked with a smile.

"Yeah, a lot." Norman smiled. "Thanks, babe." He then reached over in the glove compartment again and reached for his gun, putting the safety on and pulling it into his lap. He closed his eyes and slowly turned his head over to face Madison. "Ready to go?" he asked with a slight wince. His ribs were acting up. He got out of the car, helping Maddy out in the process, and placed his gun in the holster. "Maddy-Moo, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. You didn't need to get dragged into this....this was my fear, ya know. You getting in danger by dating me," he added softly as they began up the stairwell to his hotel room.

Madison nodded. "It's no problem." she said, hopping out of the car and smiling as she was escorted out by Norman. She blinked when he began apologizing, shaking her head. "No, Norman, don't apologize. Believe me, I can take care of myself, and I'm certainly not afraid of any danger," she said reassuringly as she followed him up the steps, linking their arms together in case he needed some extra support. "And, it was my choice to come along, you know? But don't feel bad. I'm fine with this." she said, smiling again.

Norman watched as Madison linked their arms together, smiling and clearing his throat. "See? It's not everyday I get escorted up to my hotel room by a pretty lady," he added with a grin as they reached the room, Norman unlocking the door. "I know you can take care of yourself...Paco and everything." He walked in and loosened his tie again, throwing it to the floor in a heap before shedding the first layer of his suit, the coat. He turned around, and with a smile, fell backwards on his bed with a yelp. Ribs...ribs... he gently crawled up to his pillow and just laid there, staring up at the ceiling. "I can't help feeling like this is my fault." He stammered, shaking his head. "How could I have not seen that she was in danger sooner?" He asked out loud, looking over at Madison with pitiful look.

Madison felt her cheeks heat up, smiling slightly as her face flushed. She released his arm once they made it inside the hotel. She flinched when he cried out, rushing over to him and resting a hand on his shoulder. "Careful," she said playfully, laughing slightly. Her smile faded as he began speaking again. "Norman," she began, frowning. "You couldn't do anything about it. Even if she would have told you, by the time you got there, she would have been.." she shook her head. "Don't be so hard on yourself." she said.

Norman smiled as Madison rushed over to him, feeling her hand on his shoulder. "I will, I will, don't worry," he whispered as he kissed her hand. "Don't worry about me. But, if you really are concerned, you are a nurse." He replied with a raise of his eyebrow and sly smile. He laughed and looked over at her again and put a had hazily on her cheek and smiled. "I know. I shouldn't really, it's not my fault." He agreed, swinging his legs over to the other side of the bed and standing up. "It's none of our faults...it's his fault." He said with a shrug. "Whoever this 'he' is." He walked over to his desk and looked through some notes, crunching them up and throwing them in a waste basket. "All of our evidence is gone." He barely whispered, resorting back to the bed. No stress for him tonight.

Madison giggled, feeling her cheeks warm up again. Gosh, she had to stop that..but around Norman, she couldn't control it. She nodded in agreement, sitting beside him on the bed. "You'll eventually find out who it was and lock him up. That would make anyone whose been through what you have feel better," she said with a small laugh. She didn't hear his remark about the evidence, though she knew well that it was indeed all gone. "Well, how 'bout you go take that shower and we'll try and get some sleep?" she asked.

Norman's ears perked as he heard Madison's voice chime. "Of course," he smiled softly and gently, getting back up from the bed and trotting over to the shower.

The water felt good on his ribs. His raw, aching ribs. His hair was dyed even more dark, to the point it was almost black. He smiled and turned the water off, quickly changing again and going back out to Madison. He glanced back down at her and smiled, feeling his heart flutter. He leaned down to give her a quick kiss before wincing again, almost crying out in pain. His ribs weren't getting any better. How could he ever go to sleep? He wasn't, that was the case. He wasn't going to go to sleep, and neither was Maddy, it seemed like. He slowly crawled back up to his pillow, the bed still in shambles from when they were rudely awoken from the phone call. It all seemed like a dream. No one in their right mind would ever hurt children. Origami Killer or accomplice or not.
