Morningstar with the leaders

Arriving at the gathering, Morningstar flicked an ear back to hear his warriors instructing their apprentices about the gathering protocol before allowing them to go on their own. Approval flashing in his gaze, the tom headed to his spot with the rest of the leaders.

Woolyfur with the deputies

Woolyfur headed to the other deputies, acknowledging them with a nod. He said a polite hello and sat down to observe the rest of the gathering. Like the rest of the Caveclan warriors, Woolyfur tried to keep an eye on the three apprentices they'd brought. Tigerpaw in particular could get rather aggressive sometimes.

Cloudpool + Dappleleaf with med cats/Dappleleaf

Cloudpool and Dappleleaf walked over to the group of medicine cats together. The calico molly chose to stay with Cloudpool rather than mingle among the warriors of the other clans. If they wanted to chat, Dappleleaf would let them approach her.

Rowanfur + Ebonywing open

Rowanfur and Ebonywing looked over the mobs of cats, watching warily. Unlike their eager young apprentices, neither queen had much desire to approach the other clans.

Poppypaw, Tigerpaw, Duskpaw are open

Our first gathering!" The newly named Poppypaw's eyes were wide with a mix of awe and excitement. "I didn't expect so many cats to be here." Duskpaw breathed, a bit nervous. Tigerpaw simply flicked his tail, unimpressed. "It isn't all that impressive." Poppypaw rolled her eyes, nudging him playfully. "Oh hush! You just wanted Mistpaw to come too." She teased. Tigerpaw opened his jaws to protest but Duskpaw interrupted. "Those must be all of the leaders!" His words drew the attention of all the apprentices up to the great rock, watching the leaders with awe. Even Tigerpaw was impressed.

foxstar walked into the maze of cats, a slight frown on his face. his mate briarleap was due any day now, but the stubborn she-cat has insisted for him to go. "i'll be fine, i have smokeleaf with me and i feel great. go on to the gathering." the ginger tom shook his head trying to shake his nervosity away. "she wouldn't want me worrying because of her." foxstar climbed up onto the rock with the other leaders, saying hello to everyone.

littlestep walked among all the gathered cats, looking completely at ease. the she-cat had heard rumours about a witty elder that had a group of cruel cats under her control. this information obviously came from her spy wandering around different clans' territories. what was the devil's name again? willow? sorrel? mallow? yes, it started with mallow. littlestep looked around, looking for the manipulative elder.

Honeystar walked into the crowd, more confident now that she had already attended one Gathering. She immediately spotted the leaders and once there, sprang up onto the rock. She looked around for Briarstar. He had seemed like a nice tom and she wanted to get to know him better. Not seeing him immediately, she greeted the other leaders. "Hello," she said. "How's the prey running?"

Onec arriving, Birchnose spotted the deputies and padded up to them. "Hi!" she said. She wanted to know the others, as she hadn't talked much the last time. She glancecd around, not seeing anyone she remembered.

Crowcloud | tags: Cloudpool, Dappleleaf
Crowcloud was nervous but less so. He had met some of the cats and hoped to talk to them again. He was bored, though, not seeing anyone to talk to. He realized that he recognized a few of the cats from the medicine cats' Gathering and walked over to them. "Hi," he said to a calico molly. "I don't remember you. What's your name, again? I'm Crowcloud of Forestclan."

"Don't worry," Acornstream said to Applepaw. "The Gathering's fun. You get to meet cats from other clans and maybe make a new friend!" What he didn't say was that he was worried for Duckpelt. She was close to giving birth and hoped that she would be alright. He brushed the thought off; she would be fine. Crowcloud said that she was healthy and the kits should be too.

"Now, shoo!" Acornstream watched with amusement as Applepaw found three other apprentices to talk to and turned away. Who to talk too...aha. He spotted two mollies together, presumably from the same clan, glance around the crowd. He walked up to them and introduced himself. "Hi," he said. "I'm Acornstream of Forestclan. And you are?"

Applepaw was nervous. Very nervous. He knew no one except for his clanmates, and wondered if something bad would happen. His mentor didn't reassure him either by telling him to go and mingle. He spotted three young cats and decided to walk up to them. Maybe they were apprentices like him and he could make a new friend! Or three.

"Umm, hi," Applepaw said, unsure of what to say next. Maybe he should introduce himself? "I'm Applepaw. Applepaw of Forestclan!"

Spiderstar looked at the leader that had spoken and smiled a little. He shrugged. "alright, I guess... We haven't got a lot of warriors anyway, but now they are both injured and cannot hunt... At least I have my deputy. And me." he smiled ruefully.

Honeystar winced. Even though Duckpelt was in the nursery, there was still Birchnose, Acornstream, Applepaw, and her apprentice. And they didn't have to feed that large of a clan. But the other leader made it sound like he had a large clan--larger than hers, at least--which would be bad news if most of the cats couldn't hunt, patrol, or fight.

"I hope that they will get better soon," she said sincerely. "Say, what's you name? I don't think I got that the first time. I'm Honeystar of Forestclan."

Spiderstar smiled. "my name is Spiderstar of Swallowclan." he replied. He then remembered what had been on his mind earlier. "your clan wouldn't have some lavender to spare would they?" he sighed. "we don't have any and need it to help one of the warriors."

Honeystar shook her head slowly. "No," she said regretfully. "We don't. I'd give you some if we had any, though..." She wondered if maybe she could ally with Swallowclan. As a fairly small clan, it would be useful in case anyone had the inclination to...move into Forestclan territory. "Say, what do you think about becoming allies?" she asked hesitantly, hoping that she wouldn't be rejected. Maybe if she got some more warriors soon, she could arrange for them to help hunt for Swallowclan, as they seemed desperate for help. Or maybe they would refuse her offer. She couldn't tell how it would turn out.

Spiderstar nodded. "of course!" he smiled. It was nice, one more ally. But they didn't have what they needed... Hopefully Fawnthroat (medicine cat) would have done luck while searching for herbs...

Honeystar grinned in relief. One more ally. Allies were nice. "If we find any lavender, we'll give some to you. I don't think we need any yet." She glanced up briefly, wondering if Starclan would decide to curse her clan. Well, it was extremely unlikely that it was Starclan that would curse her and it would instead be the Place of No Stars, but she would rather be careful. "Has anything good happened in your clan recently? We named our first apprentice and Duckpelt is expecting her first litter."

Briarstar scaled the leader's rock, quickly settling near the edge. He flicked his brown ears around, discreetly listening into the other's leader's conversations. He noticed Honeystar talking with an unfamiliar grey and white tom, so he silently waved his tail in greeting, trotting closer to them. "Greetings Honeystar, it's good to see you again! Hope I'm not interrupting anything." He flashed her a small smile, before giving the other leader a curious glance. "Who might you be? I'm Briarstar of Thicketclan."

Mintpaw quietly weaved through the crowd of cats, using his small size to duck under and around the older warriors. It was one of the rare moments that he was without either of his siblings. Beetlepaw had decided to stay back with Applepelt, explaining that the crowd was making him feel nervous, and Specklekit was at home, for she had gotten into trouble during training the other day. As he thought about the two, he must've gotten lost in his thoughts, for he managed to bump into a grey and cream she-cat. "Oh! Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." He licked his chest fur in embarrassment, tail twitching nervously behind him.
