Tessa smirked. "Well I do. It's the truth," she replied. She perked up, suddenly remembering the vampire for which she'd been convinced to come back to the fort for. "Where's Vicente?" she asked, glancing around for the vampire in question.

Lucien listened, giving a shrug at her question. "Maybe he's still investigating the t.v." Lucien said with another chuckle, turning and walking around the corner, flicking his brown eyes around for Vicente. The t.v box was abandoned where Lucien had set it down, and Vicente was curled up in the chair with a book in his hands. He lifted his crimson eyes upon hearing Lucien enter the room, looking behind him to see if Tessa was following.

Tessa limped into the room behind Lucien, grinning when her blue-gray gaze found Vicente curled up in his chair with a book. Why was she not surprised. "Aw, that's so mean, Vicente!" she exclaimed as she limped a little further into the room. "I told you Lucien was getting jealous of that chair and yet you're still reading in it." She reached out for Lucien and wrapped her arms around him, taking the opportunity to lift her weight off of her injured leg. "It's okay, Lucien, I still love you more than I love the comfy chair! Er, well actually, that green couch might give you a run for your money though..."

Vicente gave a small smile as he saw Tessa enter the room, arching a thin eyebrow at her words. "But, I like this chair..." Vicente mumbled with a pouty expression, raising his eyebrows as Tessa reached out to Lucien and wrapped her arms around him. Ow, jealousy. And Lucien just gave a smug smirk in Vicente's direction, turning his focus to Tessa as she spoke. "That couch is ugly. I have no idea how it's any competition with me." Lucien huffed haughtily, moving one arm loosely around Tessa's waist, still smirking smugly as he gave a soft chuckle.

[I'm sitting here grinning at Lucien and Vicente's quiet feud over Tessa right now xD]

Tessa grinned devilishly at Lucien's words, pulling out her favorite insult for Lucien for her comeback. "You're uglier," she replied as she looked up at him, resting her chin on the side of his chest as she stood there hugging him from his side. Psh, the day she admitted that Lucien was drop dead gorgeous would probably be the day that pigs flew and cows jumped over the moon.

She pulled out of the hug to walk over to Vicente, resting her hands on the arm of the chair as she leaned over him to curiously eye the book in his hands. "What are you reading?"

Lucien gave a scowl at he response, watching her with a bored expression as she made her way over to Vicente. Lucien made his way to the t.v box, and began opening it. Vicente smiled happily as Tessa came over to him, looking to his book curiously. "It's by Stephen King. It's called "The Pet Cemetery". It's odd, but... Oh well." Vicente chuckled as he flicked his red-eyed gaze to Tessa.

[I'm honestly not quite sure how she'd react to hearing about that xD]

Tessa reached down and moved the book so that she could take a look at the cover. "Stephen King? He writes the creepiest stories! There's this one where a girl keeps saying 'red rum' and writting it on walls and then someone sees it in a mirror and it says 'murder' and... Er... That's actually all I remember about that one. It was based on a hotel in the mountains of Colorado though." She surfaced from her babble rant about Stephen King and offered Vicente a cheerful smile.

Vicente listened to her babble about Stephen kind, arching a thin eyebrow as she spoke. "Well, this is the first thing I've read by him. I thought I'd give one of these "Horror books" a try. It's not too scary, so far. But then again, I don't think there's much that can scare a vampire." he spoke with a light chuckle and a grin, glancing down at the book before he closed it with a soft sigh. He glanced at Lucien as he fiddled with the box, giving a sigh as he leaned back in the chair and returned his gaze to Tessa.

"I suppose not. I sure wish I were that brave. I can't get through a single Stephen King book or movie," Tessa replied. She glanced up and over at Lucien, letting her eyes take in the box before she spoke. "Do you need help with that, Lucien?" She asked as she straightened and began to limp to him. She felt odd without her crutch. She'd gotten used to walking with it.

Lucien lifted his gaze as Tessa offered to help, and he shook his head. "I can do it myself," he sniffed with a snooty huff, opening one end of the box with a little grunt as he fell back onto his rear end. He gave the chuckling vampire a glare, flicking his gaze back to the box as he straightened himself. "There. It's open." Lucien grumbled, pushing himself to his feet with an exasperated sigh.
