The ginger tabby smiled. "That's great!" When she mentioned Mossycreek being upset, he mewed, "I'm sorry to hear that," deciding it would best not to pry. "Not much has happened since the Gathering," he replied with a shrug.

As Appleheart left her side to talk to his friend, Willowcloud found herself looking around for someone to converse with herself. She noticed someone she hadn't seen before and padded up to them. "Hello there," she started. "I don't think we've met. I'm Willowcloud of LeafClan. What's your name?"

Ramhorn looked at Weaselstorm, a disappointed look in his eyes. "She was about to speak of something that happened that we were told by Squirrelstar we couldn't speak about." He mewed. "Something terrible has happened in Echoclan, Weaselstorm. I can't say anymore about it."

Brindlecloud nodded slightly, her tail swishing slightly in the grass. "I get so bored in camp." She mewed, smiling slightly. "I miss leaving camp to hang out with you, that was the only thing I looked forward to."'

Harrierpelt looked sideways at the tabby molly who had spoken to him, Brackenflower. He nodded at her judgement. "Yes. It's good to see I'm not the only new cat here."
He snickered quietly under his breath at her whisper, and he whispered back to her. "Me neither. I hope it's not just sitting here waiting for prophecies or something." He decreased his volume even further, because although he was serious in what he was saying, he didn't want to be over-head commenting on his leader's leadership style. He actually quite appreciated it, as it gave him a sense of security as a medicine cat, but he didn't know how discussing anything other than medicine would go down at a medicine cat gathering. "And between you and me, Gustclan's leader's so- rightly- cautious, if there were a prophecy, it'd probably be about the weather, not some war or plot."
Harrierpelt turned his attention briefly to the other cats, to see if he could make sense of what was happening, but it was already so busy all around him, that he didn't know where to start. He'd far rather stick with someone he knew was a fellow new-comer, and seemed to be pretty friendly, all things considered.

Smokeberry tilted his head in thought. "About a season cycle, I believe?" At least that was how long he'd been in the clan. Smokeberry then thought of something else. "Have you ever been to the Moonpool before? Since you said that you're new and all."

Brackenflower's ears pricked at the word prophecies. What if she got a big, serious one? The chances are she wouldn't, but even still... No. No. They were too small to have any big problems yet, surely? On the other hand, she'd get to meet her ancestors! Maybe her mum would be there? She imagined her mother's pretty, dappled coat and green eyes, and her silky voice. She idolized her Mum, and was desperate to see her again. She giggled at twelve bluntness of Harrierpelt's prophecy prediction, though she could tell he was pretty serious. "Great Starclan I hope I get a prophecy on the weather. I can just imagine Pumastar getting over-excited about a big, coded prophecy. I don't think she'd ever stop talking about it until we've figured it out. But that's a good thing, if you think about it; she's determined." Brackenflower wasn't entirely sure if Pumastar would feel pleased or offended by what she'd just said, but knowing her probably pleased. The other cats were still chatting, so she carried on. It would be good to have another medicine cat friend. They could trade herbs, share advice, help eachother out... She smiled inside. Here she was. A proper medicine cat, with all the others. Suddenly pride swelled inside her and for a moment she couldn't speak, only smile. They, she managed to say something. "So what's it like in Gustclan? Sounds windy."
She asked, genuinely curious. She wanted to know what it's like to live in other environments. [/color]

Harrierpelt laughed quietly again. "That'd work out a treat, coming back from the gathering acting like there's some dramatic prophecy, doing a huge build up, and announcing it'll be windy sometime next moon." Harrierpelt didn't really have so many ancestors to look back on as she did, and, besides, he'd been pretty much kicked out of his previous clan, so he probably wouldn't recognise any Starclan cats who chose to pass on prophecies to him.
She'd already made him feel pretty relaxed about any future gatherings. Back in the clan he was managing a pretty good grumpy act, but it was more due to lack of shared senses of humour than anything else. One day, when he was responsible enough to have an apprentice (and that was a scary thought), he'd have to make sure they had a decent sense of fun and humour in general; it might even come across as good nest-side manners if done right.
"You could say that. There's a couple of hills on the Eastern end of the territory where it feels like the wind's trying to put claws into you on rainy days. At least it protects the rest of the territory from it a bit, or it seems to, 'cause it's not so bad lower down.
"What's it like in Wrenclan, then?"
He was hoping they might be fairly close by, as he'd quite like to be able to see his new friend (he hoped she wouldn't think that description premature) more than the bare minimum if he could. The best way to find out would be seeing if there seemed to be much in common with their clans geography, surely.

Brackenflower snorted in a short burst of laughter, and immediately slammed her tail over her mouth and seemed to shrink down into herself.
She had imagined doing that cruel trick to her leader, and although she would never do it to her really, the vividness of the medicine cat's imagination almost made her feel like she'd actually done it. Well, now she was embarrassed. Composing herself, she sternly though, This is a time of peace and spirituality. It was as if she were telling herself off.
"Not much different really. Our land is quite hilly, but there are many copses of trees dotted around, some very large and some very small, to keep us sheltered from the wind. We're a few miles that way," she pointed her tail in the direction of her territory. If their lands were similar, then maybe they were close by? The thought of this fuelled her desire to have a medicine cat friend out of her clan. Sure, there'd be apprentices to share her knowledge and herbs with, but they don't have the experience and wisdom of full medicine cats. Wisdom. She thought sarcastically. Like you're wise, the cat who laughed at her own leader being messed about.

(I really should sleep now, so I might not be able to continue this until in several hours if it's even still going then. Sorry!)

Momo visibly recoiled, tears stinging her eyes. She had only meant it in a teasing way and now Honeyfur was lurching around, hissing like the very act of being around the bobtail was painful. She took a step forwards and then several back. "I'm sorry? I didn't mean to upset you like this? Are you- are you alright?" The she-cat bit her lip, wanting to give the medicine cat a comforting nuzzle, though admittedly for more reasons than just comfort, but judging that such an action might just make Honeyfur lash out again and this time, at her. So instead Momo just stood there at an awkward impasse with the pretty she-cat that made it so hard to look away.

Webwing nodded, relieved that Smoothpetal, and all of Witherclan too he supposed, was unhurt. He probably would have dashed over the border to help her if the answer was anything less than that they were all fine which, upon consideration, wasn't a very loyal Beechclan cat thought. But the tom couldn't help it could he? Any more than he could help his racing heart or his wandering paws that always found their way to this patch of ground whenever he needed solace. "I'm...glad you're okay. I care about you-r safety!" Close catch, but at least Smoothpetal had moved the subject to something easier for him to talk about. "Yeah actually. Good health, thankfully. A stubby perception line but that's always there thanks to these," He flicked his ears for emphasis, "And uh...a twice intersected love line. But nevermind that- would you like me to read yours?" It wasn't everyday that Webwing got to read anyone's fortune but his own, and he loved being able to share his hobby with anoher cat, one who wouldn't laugh at him for it.

ForestClan must have been faring well if there were already kits on the way, and they were a newer Clan too! The thought genuinely impressed Shadepaw, who grinned along with the other medicine cat as he told her of what was going on in his Clan. "I'm glad things are going well." She replied once he finished, her grin fading to a soft smile. "Congratulations on the kits too, our Clan just had two litters." She said, her tail tip flicking as she recalled the two queens back home. Surely they were alright? She couldn't help but worry, they were the first births she had tended to with her mentor, and he focused primarily on Skunknose while Wasptail was mainly left to her. "I think we're doing pretty good... it's a nice Greenleaf so far for us." She trailed off then, unsure of what else to add to the conversation.

Weaselstorm scoffed, clearly not pleased with Ramhorn's response and that look he him gave him sent an annoyed prickle down his spine too. Still, he forced himself not to get carried away after hearing the tom's ominous words. "Fine, I'll drop it then." He mewed after giving him a glare. "But at least apologize to her after everything here's over."

The prey is running--and swimming--well. Acornstream is the only one in the clan who can fish. I don't know how he stands it. Water is so cold!" And wet, he thought with amusement. Of course it was wet.

"Is this your first medicine cat Gathering?" he asked, changing the topic.
