''We've just gone around Beechclan territory and we are slowly leaving around your borders.'' Addercloud replied. ''If Morningstar ran then maybe...'' the tabby queen suggested. It was unlikely but unlikely didn't mean impossible, there was still a sliver of chance. ''But on the good side, Sagestar told the clan not to harm Sedgetail...she'll get fed, sheltered and protected.'' Addercloud continued.

Pulling himself away from Smokefur's fierce glare, Burrwhisker padded over to Sedgetail, Smokefur in tow. ''I'll be watching.'' murmured the grey warrior, nodding curtly at her brother. ''I don't really trust you, Burr...'' Smokefur admitted, before sauntering off. Glaring at the cold earth, Burrwhisker sighed loudly. Smokefur had taken her toll on him and he was relieved that she'd left. ''I hope you forgive me.'' the tabby said, out of the blue. ''for the fact your a prisoner.''

Briardusk happily trotted along with the rest of the hunting patrol. Everyone was glad that the flooding was finally over so they could get out of the camp and resume their normal routine of patrolling. The red tabby took a sniff of the air for any indication of prey. Scenting a hare, she looked around for it, creeping around a cluster of bushes to find it sitting a fox-length away. The she-cat crouched down and bunched her muscles up, but when she leaped for it, it was too quick and took off. She kept after it, chasing it around trees and through the undergrowth. Suddenly it took a sharp turn into some thick bushes, disappearing from view. Briardusk let out a heavy sigh. Panting, she looked at her surroundings. None of it was familiar; she must have strayed too far while chasing the hare. She scented the air and found it to be true. She was in LotusClan territory.

bumbletuft was definitely grateful that the horrendous flood was finally over. however, his leader and deputy had gotten injured because of it. even though it was nothing too serious, just scratches and cuts, bumbletuft was still anxious. sure, he had healed the injured during the beech vs tumble war, but even he didn't really do much. the medicine cat had just gotten in the clan with merely five herbs, and he now used up two to treat his clanmate's injuries. and so he was glad that the flood was over, so he could finally go herb hunting.

while he was on his little herb hunting trip, bumbletuft was definitely not lucky finding herbs. he had really only scented various types of prey, and though he could choose to start hunting instead of finding herbs, he chose not to. he was a medicine cat, not a warrior. bumbletuft didn't even know the first thing about hunting. but he felt like he would regret it someday, as his clan needed all the prey they could get. maybe he could ask onyxstar to teach him someday.

just as he was about to give up, a strong whiff of... something hit him square in the face. it definitely wasn't herbs, or any type of prey either. that meant it could only be a predator or another cat. bumbletuft's eyes widened out of fear, and got ready to flee. while he got ready to do so, he soon realized what the scent actually was. briardusk! the tom frowned and shook his head, guilty that he didn't recognize his only, actual friend's scent. sure, onyxstar and softfire were kind to him, but he couldn't help but wonder if they only did it because he was their medicine cat. bumbletuft began to wonder why briardusk was in lotusclan territory. maybe... maybe she was spying or stealing prey? no, that couldn't possibly happen, she seemed way too nice for that. maybe she missed bumbletuft and wanted to come and see him? okay, now he was just flattering himself.

"briardusk...?" he called out uncertainly.

Briardusk froze as she heard her name being called. Her mind was whirring with confusion for a moment before she recognized the voice. A smile found its way to her face. "Bumbletuft? Is that you?" She set off at an excited trot in the direction of the voice, grinning widely when she finally came across the medicine cat. "Bumbletuft!" The red tabby quickly stepped closer and touched her nose to his in friendly greeting.

Ferretclaw nodded, his gaze thoughtful. If Morningstar was going to try and catch up, he'd need to be fast. Glancing around his patrol, his gaze fixed on the fastest of them, Willowpaw. "Go Willowpaw." He ordered the apprentice. "Tell Morningstar that Tumbleclan is leaving and tell him the route they're using and explain that we need to try and catch up as soon as possible." With a nod, Willowpaw darted off, heading deeper into Caveclan territory towards camp. Ferretclaw looked at Addercloud quietly. "Even so, Sedgetail belongs with Caveclan where she's among her friends and family."

Sedgetail glanced over as Smokefur and Burrwhisker approached. The silver tabby narrowed her eyes, watching Smokefur pad off a few moments later. "What did Smokefur want?" She asked Burrwhisker. She paused as he spoke again, her green eyes fixed intently on Burrwhisker. "Forgive you?" Sedgetail blinked quietly at him. "You haven't even explained to me why you did this."

smokeleaf jumped over a fallen log to walk into a peaceful clearing. the moon shone brightly in the sky, guiding the medicine cat's steps in the darkness. the tom looked around, sighing when he realized no one else was there. smokeleaf sat down to wait, trying to remember what foxstar has said. "the medicine cat gathering is when all medicine cats and their apprentices come to the gathering clearing. the cats get to chat a little before they all go together to the moonpool. they then all have dreams from starclan. when they wake up, they cannot talk about their dream to the others. each cat then says goodbye to their fellow medicine cats and return to their clan." smokeleaf opened his eyes when he heard pawsteps. the other medicine cats were coming.

Poppythorn

Poppythorn had been traveling since dawn, but now the moon shone strong in the sky, casting a silvery sheen over the hollow. The medicine cat may, or may not have caught a mouse off someone else's territory. She definitely ate the mouse, what was unsure was whether it was stolen. Poppythorn actually didn't care. She trotted into the clearing, not used to how empty it was. The only cat to be seen was a dark, long furred tom she'd never met before. Taking her time she padded up to him with her tail up and curled at the tip in a friendly gesture. Poppythorn was in a good mood. Her only plan for this gathering of medicine cats was to get medical information out of her more knowledgeable colleagues and spend some time with her deceased brother.

The two medicine cats entered the clearing quietly, nudging past the bushes to the moonpool. Morningleaf had matured plenty from the bubbly apprentice she was the first time, but she still held a bit of that childish excitement in her bright eyes. The short she-cat slipped towards the moonpool, smiling cheerfully back at her mentor. "I'm going to go talk to someone. Bye Honeyfur!" Honeyfur huffed in response, stiffly settling at the edges of the bushes. She kept her posture upright, eyes flickering somewhat judgmentally from cat to cat. She eventually got bored, beginning to groom her thick ginger fur.

The she-cat had discussed the upcoming gathering with her leader, assuming that it would be smart to ask for permission first rather than simply leaving on her own acord as it was a very real possibility that Dawnstar would refuse just like she had refused to go to the clan gathering before. After much discussion, the leader gave, allowing Puddlewhisper to leave and so the medicine cat hurried through the territory and on through others to try to arrive on time, before the others were to leave. Luckily for her, when she got to the meeting location, there were still only four other cats present. She approached them, meowing a 'greetings' and introducing herself as being the medicine cat of the recently formed Featherclan. "And you are...?" She asked, her voice smooth and sweet and she overall seemed happy to meet the medicine cats of clans she hadn't met before.

when they nearly finished their short border tour, minnowstep remembered the coming medicine cat gathering. she jumped in her place, surprising owlfeather which also caused him to jump, she hurriedly told owlfeather about the med. cat gathering and ran to the clearing. when she reached there, there already a few cats chatting with each other. minnowstep padded over to the nearest spot next to the friendliest looking cat possible, thinking of something to chat about. perhaps she could learn a few bits and tips of their herbs? before going to the moonpool that is.

Harrierpelt

Harrierpelt had only asked for permission from Heronstar a day before coming to the gathering. He hadn't thought there'd been any disapproval of it. There had been hesitancy, but not after Harrierpelt had made it clear that only medicine cats and their apprentices would come. It turned out her reluctance was to make sure he stayed safe, which Harrierpelt thought was at least reasonable.
He walked slowly, tail high into the gathering area, seeing only five other cats there, none of which he recognised. He could tell that the tortoiseshell who he assumed was still an apprentice wasn't very many moons younger than him. Harrierpelt was all too aware of how much younger he was than all the others (bar the apprentice), and was expecting to be looked down on for it. He'd probably get asked who his mentor was, or something. He just caught the end of what another tortoiseshell was saying (he was starting to think his dark grey fur was way too normal for the other medicine cats' standards, not that he'd say that). "I'm Harrierpelt, new medicine cat of Gustclan. I don't know anyone else here, yet, unfortunately." There was a slight dry tone to his voice, because he knew the chances of them having thought he was an apprentice still.
