Xander's face got red, feeling touched by her words. "I am glad you enjoy spending time with me Catherine." Xander walked over and picked a flower up and walks over to Catherine and lightly puts it in her hair and smiles at her. "Looks quite cute on you, you should have a flower in your hair when you tell that guy." He felt a little sad saying that to her but smiled at how cute she is right now

Catherine met his gaze as he put the flower in her hair, and could feel her heart quicken by his closeness. She bit her lip gently as he mentioned telling him again “You think so? I don’t know if I can do it,” she replied, fiddling with her finger nervously as she looked down. What if he liked this other girl too much and turned her down? What if he didn’t want to date the help? She frowned slightly, looking at her hands.

"Yea I think so. You should tell him soon, what if he finds someone else because you didn't tell him how you felt?" Xander continues to stare at her, looking into her eyes, almost stunned and not wanting to look away. He almost hoped she doesn't get together with that guy so he could be with her.

Catherine delicately touched the flower he had placed in her hair, carefully not to disturb it. She wanted to tell him, she wanted him to know, but part of her was too nervous to actually say it. Her heart quickened at the mention of him finding someone else, which was a reality because he said he liked someone. "What if I already know he likes someone else?" she asked, looking up at him with nervous eyes. She clasped her hands together in front of her once more, and adverted her gaze to look away so that she wasn't staring.

"Well, I feel you should try anyways. You could be surprised. And who wouldnt want to be with you, you are amazing." Xander smiled at her then moved next to her to continue to walk with Catherine though the gardens.

Catherine smiled at him with a gentle blush, casting a shy look to the floor. She knew she needed to tell him, what if he was planning on telling that other girl? She stopped walking, and looked up at him, she felt so nervous she could cry, but didn't. She bit her lower lip "Xander, I.." she stammered, her voice trailed off as she looked down at her hands. She was so nervous, the words weren't coming out as smooth as she wanted them to.

Xander noticed that she had stopped moving and turned around to look at her confused, curious what she was trying to say. "What is[ it Catherine?" He tries to think on what she could be trying to tell him, but isn't sure what it could be.

Catherine looked up at him again, she could feel her face heating up which often happened when she was nervous and she hated it. “I mean, I-I know I’m probably not as great as that other girl you described, but-” her words cut off and she looked down again, now playing with the end of her braid. “I was talking about you.” she said, her chest tightened as she finished the sentence off. She once again felt like she could cry but held them back and mentally kicked herself for being so vulnerable.

"You were talking about me?" confused but slowly understanding that all the things she was talking about were aimed towards him. He gently walked over and hugged her. "The project I was talking was you Catherine." Xander blushes a bit from everything that is happening but continues to hug her.
