Medve nodded, "We're going to get funny looks, walking a raccoon," she said with a little laugh as they pulled in. Medve un buckled herself frim the car, and got out. She then began heading for the door, wondering whst they'd find in the store. "Oh, we need plenty of squesky toys for Rigby," she said, "He really loves those," she added.

Adonis followed her out of the care and into the store, as soon as he got in he realized it was adoption day for one of the local agencies. There were rows of cages lined up along one corner of the store, each of them holding a cat, or a few kittens. "Look, Medve," He chirped, eyes glowing at how adorable they were, reaching through the paws to bat at passer-by, and meowing softly.

Medve looked at all the cats and kittens, grinning. "I think we should get a older cat, and a kitten. Most of the old cats don't get adopted, most people want kittens," she said, looking through the bars of the cages. She then spotted a calico cat, a old cat, about five years old. She smiled, putting her paw in, the cat sniffed her, and then batted a few times at her. "You can pick out the kittens. I want this cat right here," she said, picking up the cage. "I'm going to go look for some guard dogs," she said, "And maybe a lap dog for the kids," she said, kissing Adonis' cheek with a smile.

Adonis looked around at all of the cages before his eyes settled on a kitten that was all by herself in a rather large bed, the sign explained all of the other siblings of the litter had already been adopted. She was a sweet little thing, stringy and long, thin, sleek black with orange spots and large amber eyes. She let out a soft little mew as he approached, lifting one paw to prod at him curiously through the bars. "Aww, I like this one," Adonis chirped, lifting up her cage as the cat tried adorably to stand, skidding across the slick bottom of the cage with a startled little meow. "To the hamsters!" He added, setting the cage on his back where the kitten would be protected and not-quite out of sight.

Medve lookef at all the dogs in the cages, seeing a dog that was a little brown one, and almost hairless. Medve giggled, and went for the dog, putting her paw in. The dog ran to her, sniffing and then licking her hand. Medve decided to get the dog, after all, she wanted a dog. Well, a couple dogs. She then looked at other dogs, and seen a German Shepherd mix, and he was old, but not too old.

Adonis grabbed a cart and gently set the cat's cage in it, and the kitten mewled appreciatively as she looked around the store curiously. He grabbed a few cat things he knew they'd need -- three litter boxes, a large bag of litter, a small bag of adult chow and another small bag of kitten chow, a few different collars, and some toys, as well as food dishes. Then he smiled and pushed the cart over to where he could see a few chubby little hamsters running around and around on a wheel, not seeming to notice they weren't actually going anywhere. One eyed him with beady black eyes as it sipped from the water bottle, white with gray and black on its back.

Medve put her paw in with the german shepherd, and the dog looked at her shly. "Come here, baby," Medve whispered to her, in a voice you'd talk to a baby too. The dog then walked up to her, sniffing her hand, her tail wagging slowly as she sniffed her, and sat down, looking at the floor. Medve watched him as he then laid down, ears down, tail still wagging slowly. Medve theb stood up, knowing which dogs they should take home. She then told a lady that she wanted the two dogs so nobody else would take them, and picked up the cat cage and went to find Adonis.

Adonis was enchanted, watching the little creatures scamper back and forth across the wood shavings in the bottom of their cage, studying him in reply with their large, shiny black eyes. An employee wandered up to him, a cardboard box in hand, and Adonis pointed out the first hamster he had looked at, and a smaller brown one as well. As the employee fetched them for him, Adonis picked out a three-story cage with a food dish shaped like a chair and little stairs, and a place in the 'attic' where you could store food for them. He plucked up a bag of food and a water bottle as well, and a few wooden chew toys for them.

Medve seen Adonis, and approached, setting the cat downin front of the kitten in the cart, so they'd get to know each other. "I picked out two dogs. One lap dog, and a guard dog," she said, knowing that the german shepherd mix would guard their house when he got to know them. "I got a hairless dog - she was cute to me - and a german shepherd mix," she said to him, looking at the little hamsters that were in the glass cages still, watching them as they played around.

The worker fished out the two hamsters Adonis had pointed out, and he smiled as he accepted them, opening the top a little to show Medve the adorable creatures. "Aren't they cute?" He whispered, not wanting to startle them. They looked slightly frightened, huddling together in one corner of the box, but he was sure they would settle down once they were safely in their new home. He pulled out the front part of the cart and put them there, away from the cats. "The dogs sound wonderful." He added, leaning over and kissing her sweetly. "Shall we get the aquarium now, or come back later after these guys get settled?"
