While he was sure that the princess thought he didn't notice, Alok had just noticed her frown before she smiled at him. He felt the same way, but knew that they had to leave, to put a lot more distance between them and the ladies capture, but also to find a village where they could find help and hopefully some shelter. They could sit very closely to each other again later? Once Adeline stood up, he stood up as well, briefly dusting himself off. When he noticed Romanos snuffing out the remainder of coals, he walked over to him,"We all set to go?" He asked.
Kisa nodded her head a little as she watched him,"T-That sounds good...." She said softly. She lifted her head when the other knight and the princess walked over before she gave Adeline a very rare and small smile before shivering a little as a small winter breeze made its way into the cave, causing her to pull the cloak a little tighter around her.

Adeline smiled back at Kisa, feeling very thankful to see her friend in better spirits. Once the cold breeze blew through the princess winced slightly, she was certainly going to be glad to get back to their warm climate. "Good morning Kisa," the female said quietly as they began to walk out of the cave and down the mountain. All the female could do was hope the mountain didn't seem as treacherous as it looked and they would find some sort of shelter for them to lie down in at night. "I can't wait till it gets warmer," she said, doing her best to make small talk to lighten the spirits of the others.
"Yes it does, I am very eager to get to a warmer climate." Romanos replied, sighing softly as he finished snuffing out the fire. The cold was beginning to take its toll on his joints as he was used to much more warmer places. The knight looked up when his companion came over and nodded as he listened to Alok speak. "Yes, I'm ready and Kisa is as well. We are both feeling rather antsy to get out." He answered, smiling at the other as he spoke. Once the four reached the entrance he began to walk down the mountain, carefully watching Kisa to make sure she wouldn't stumble or get hurt further.

As they started to leave the cave, Alok took up the lead, scanning the landscape a head of them to find the best path for them to take. He looked over his shoulder for a short moment when he heard Adeline speak,"I think we'll all be glad to get out of this snow." He agreed with a smile before looking ahead again. In truth, he was worried for the girls sakes. The fancy dresses they wore did little to keep them warm, even with the cloaks on, and they were practically walking in the snow barefoot. He was worried that they would get really sick, or even frostbitten. He looked a bit more before his eyes caught sight of something,"I could be wrong, but I think there might be a path or trail over there." He told them as he pointed in that direction.
"M-Morning...." Kisa replied back softly to the princess. Once they were all ready, she walked next to Adeline as they exited the cave, wincing slightly as they walked back into the snow. She nodded in agreement with the statement. Warmer climate would defiantly be very nice right now. She tried her best not to show it, but she was freezing right now. Her fingers felt like they were going to fall right off,"H-How high up do you think we are?" She asked quietly, though she wasn't really sure why she asked that question.

Adeline was quite relieved to see the path as well, and her heart fluttered with hope for some sort of salvation. Their luck has been good so far and all she could do was hope that it would not run out so soon. "I agree it looks like some sort of path, man-made at that. I do hope it leads to some place warm." The princess replied, her pace starting to pick up slightly so that they would find the end of the path before nightfall.
Romanos shrugged, he wasn't quite sure how high they were up, but judging by the temperature and the difficulty in breathing he guessed at least a few thousand feet. "I'm not sure, I'll admit I am more used to being in lower valleys and forested lands. Alas if I had to guess it would be at least a thousand feet high." He answered as he gently began his descent down to the trail the other knight had pointed out. "I believe I saw a town connected to that path on our little flight over here!" He said, excitement began to course through his body.

Alok smiled at Adeline before he glanced back at Romanos, nodding in agreement. He picked up his pace as well, eager to at least not be walking in to the deep snow. As they approached the path, it became clear to him that the snow they were on was a good 8 feet above the path, snow piled up on both sides of it,"Well, this certainly will be a little tricky. Let me see if I can find a good way to get down this wall." He said to the princess before he looked at both sides of them.
Once he determined what looked like a possible route to get down to the path, Alok started to carefully walk down it before he smiled again,"This should be good. Careful though, there are a few spots that are a little slippery." He told them before he made the rest of the way down until he was on the path. He stood straight and looked back up towards the princess before holding his hand up to her,"Here, take my hand." He offered to her, wanting to make sure that she didn't end up hurting herself by slipping on some unsuspected ice on her way down.
"I-I see...." Kisa said softly in reply to the knight. She forced her eyes off of where she was putting her feet to look to the upcoming path that everyone was getting excited about. At least it was something better then the deep snow they were trudging through. The kitsune took her time following after the others. In truth, it wasn't because she didn't want too, but didn't feel like she could. Her toes were so cold to the point that it was starting to hurt to walk a little bit. On top of that, Kisa was still feeling exhausted from the previous day.
The handmaiden pulled the cloak tighter around herself as she eventually made it to where the others were making their way down the snow wall to get to the path. As she started to follow them down, she stopped as her ear twitch under the cloak hood before looking around, her eyes slowly scanning the area, but she saw nothing. Maybe it was just the wind?

Adeline frowned slightly as she stared at the layers of snow and ice leading down to the dirt path that they needed to get on to find their way into town. None of them were quite in the best condition to risk slipping on the ice and causing further injury, so the group would have to be absolutely slow and meticulous about where they put their feet. She watched Alok assess the situation carefully, a bit of reassurance coursing through her veins as she did so. She was so lucky to have someone so strong to help her, he was so very brave and she greatly admired him for it.
"Thank you Alok," she said warmly as she gently intertwined her fingers in his, probably a more romantic gesture than he was looking for but something about it just felt right. The princess clung onto his hand as she made her way down the slope, occasionally looking behind her shoulder to make sure her handmaiden was coming along well. And soon she felt her feet touch the pathway before them and a sigh of relief escaped from her lips, yet she didn't let go of the knight's hand just yet as she didn't quite want to.
Romanos felt quite eager to make his way down the slope, yet he knew if he rushed it his boot would certainly catch on a patch of ice and send himself tumbling down the hill. Therefore he gently held out his arm to the kitsune, knowing with needing to help her he himself would take it quite slow. He walked alongside her, his eyes scanning the snow for any patches of ice, being careful to point them out quickly to his companion upon seeing them. Alas as the female stopped abruptly he stopped as well, his eyes quickly flickering up to the forest before him, carefully looking as he could tell that Kisa was on alert. "Something wrong Kisa?" The male questioned, a worried expression on his face as he looked over at her. The four couldn't bear any more trouble, they were already in rough conditions as it is.

Alok smiled once again as the princess took his hand. As she slowly made her way lower, he raised his other hand and gently placed it at her waist for extra support, and to be able to catch her quicker if she were to slip. Thankfully she didn't as he got her down onto the path, safe next to his side,"Still doing alright?" He asked her. He didn't mind that she kept a hold of his hand. It probably helped to warm her own hands. He looked up to check on their companions when he had noticed that they were standing still near the top,"Everything okay?" He asked them.
Kisa slowly looked around as her tales twitched a little under the cover of the cloak, scanning around her. She didn't see anything, but maybe she just so tired that she was hearing things. As she heard the knight's voice next her and pulling her thoughts back to reality, the handmaiden shook her head,"I-It's nothing. I-I think I-I'm still a little jumpy that I-I'm hearing things." She replied slowly back to him. The kitsune carefully held on to his arm for support as she started to make her way down again. However, something didn't seem right. She still felt uneasy, like they were starting to be watched from not just behind them, but from all sides.

Adeline gently leaned into the grasp of the taller male, a soft blush creeping onto her cheeks as she did so. The princess did her best to hide the blush with her hair, doing her best to remain professional as surely he was just doing these gestures to keep her safe. The two were companions, nothing more, that was something she would have to keep reminding herself of as they continued on their journey. She always had a soft spot for courageous knights and here she was being saved by one. As a child she had often read books of damsels in distress being saved by a handsome knight and here she was alongside of one. Yet this was no fairytale and the male was surely simply doing his job, she had to control herself. Soon the female gently slipped her hand out of his as she regained her composure, even though she didn’t exactly want to stop. Upon seeing him turn around to look at the two behind them she did the same, a worried expression on her face as she looked up at Kisa, she didn’t like that the other was still so very worried. She couldn’t help but feel guilt at the kitsunes condition, it was her fault they were in his predicament after all.
Romanos nodded as he listened to Kisa talk, yet still a sense of unease stayed in the pit of his stomach. Kitsunes had a great sense of hearing, and he wasn’t quite sure that she was simply jumpy. As the two continued down the path he kept one arm on her and the other on his dagger incase something was in the woods lurking, waiting for them to come closer. A shiver went down his spine as the four made their way deeper into the forested lands, something in fact wasn’t right, he could practically smell it. It was a scent so familiar to him, yet he couldn’t quite place his finger on it. Yet it screamed danger, and unless the gods themselves were protecting them he was quite sure they would figure out what it was rather soon.

Alok frowned a little as Romanos didn't reply to him, but then maybe thought that they were just too concentrated on where they were stepping to hear him. When he felt the princess slip her hand out of his own, the elf had to do his best not to frown at that in disappointment. If the princess wanted her hand back, he wasn't going to force holding it, despite how much he wanted too. You know, so that he could make sure to be there if she slipped on the ice. They might have made it to a dirt path, but it was still covered in a layer of snow from the night. Once their fellow companions caught up to them, he turned and took the lead, but made sure to stay near to Adeline. He had noticed that Romanos had seemed a bit on edge, even to the point of keeping a hand on his dagger. Eventually, the same sense washed over Alok, keeping a hand on the halt of his sword,"Stay close. I think something might be out there." He said quietly.
Kisa held on to his arm tight as they made it down to the path before slowly letting go as she wrapped both her arms into of the cloak. Her silver-red eyes moved from one side of the path to the other. The hairs on the back of her neck and on her tails were starting to stand on end. Maybe it wasn't nothing? Her ear twitched again, causing her to turn around again to see nothing, and then quickly looked in the other direction with a gasp. Something was defiantly there. They were blended in the snow, but she just barely caught sight of one moving behind some snow. What they were, she still hadn't figured it out. Her ears twitched a bit more as the sounds of crunching snow were slowly getting louder and louder, even to the point that humans could hear them,"W-We're surrounded....." She said in a fearful whisper, just moment before a few large white wolves jumped over some snow piles and towards them, fangs baring.
