Cazenar shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe it's fine. Maybe the only problem will be Aurion being mad at you. But that's only if he finds out you've got it."

"I'm trying to decide if there's a point to a shiny dagger if I can't... use it, but then again... Ooh, ratting you out could make for some fine nemesis conflict if timed right! If you want me to pin it on you at the perfect time for a dramatic turn of events..." Lazarus finally fished out some shiny white wrapping paper that seemed vaguely like it was intended for holiday presents moreso than baby presents, along with some tape. "I'll wrap this... Unless you have better wrapping skills? Presentation is key until the paper is gone."

"Right. First of all, minion, there is always a point to beautiful shiny things. You really should know that, as my minion. Also, I don't know if it would be that great a conflict. I did keep telling him I was going to steal something. Nice thought though, you can rat me out over something else sometime. I'll tell you what, though. Don't do it by yourself." He pushed himself off the bed, sitting on the floor next to Lazarus. "How about I hold the paper down while you wrap it? But don't worry about it! Three's going to think it's a shoddy embarrassment unless it's literally perfect anyway."

"Yes, I just didn't want it to sit around too long though without filling the dagger part of the purpose." Lazarus sat down too. "And that's... decently reassuring in a way! And babies don't care anyways, because they're babies... so intrictate yet... so, so very ignorant." He spread out the paper and placed the book in the center. "I hope the baby likes me. In theory, I'm good with babies. I know too much about babies for my own good... not because I was one, but because I... wasn't one! I don't know if that makes sense to you, but it sounds so poetic to me that I'm letting you interpret it unless your interpretation is so incorrect it's upsetting."

((Idk he still seems like Lazarus to me! Also I can't remember if Caz and Laz have discussed Laz's Existence before, but if they have, this is just cazenar not remembering facts about people who Aren't Him for more than a few minutes))

"I... I know I went to kindergarten, at least, or my random thoughts about it were all just a throwaway joke. My documents don't have anything conclusive on if I was a baby or not. Or if I had parents? I know I have a cousin, which at least means I have a grandparent who existed at some point? It's a mostly Inamonthian thing, in any case, as most people were actually born. In any case, I manifested out of thin air at some point, apparently with all my schooling credentials. I can remember going to kindergarten, but not to high school or anything like that. Those kindergarten memories also have me being... a child... yeah, I'm not sure how much I can trust those memories, but I exist now, at least, and I poured a lot of time into researching babies only to find that I wouldn't have remembered anything about being a baby in any case. That's when I mistakenly applied that to being a child or a teenager and for a while I didn't look up anything of the sort until I found out I would have remembered such things. So, then I pour time into figuring out what childhood would've been like, then adolescence, and then I realize, oh, yes, I am already an adult and I don't need to learn about being an adult because I am one. And now I'm here, an adult who definitely remembers being an adult because he is sure he was one."

"Huh. Weird world. Kind of... disconcerting. Like your identity just... jumps around and you don't have any personal history to hold on to. But yeah. No childbirth's still cool. Anyway, let's go meet a baby who came out of a test tube or whatever like the cool babies do!"

"It is... but only kind of. It gave me the chance to base myself not on childhood... whatevers, but on what I feel like doing with myself without question from anyone who cares because I don't have a history to taint! Not... not that much of a history to taint, anyways. And yes, we do have a cool baby to visit!" Lazarus sprung up, wrapped book in hand, entirely prepared to start rolling down the halls and slightly less but still relatively prepared to spin if that was what was needed.

"Yeah. I guess there's that." Cazenar got up slowly, following Lazarus without any of his usual strut or dance.
