Astarot smiled softly as he gave a small nod." Of course, sweetheart, you just try and get comfortable until then", he replied. He then checked his back once more to make sure 'X' was still there, before silently leaving the room in search of someone to send to the healer. His gaze soon landing on the stoic form of one of his guards and the friend of his daughter." Kyloth! Do you mind going to Kadaqua and seeing if she has anything that will soothe pain? It's for my daughter, Nezula", he said.

Kyloth snapped his gaze towards his king. Having switched places with Nelarth only an hour ago. He then gave a firm nod, before spreading his wings. He might not be as emotional as the rest of his friends, but he did care for them. Even if he would never admit it out loud." Of course, Sire, I'll be as quick as I can", he replied. Without wasting another second, he then took off down the hallways. Before exiting out of a nearby window and taking a route that he knew will take him to Kadaqua faster.

The white dragoness merely rolled her eyes at her companions response. Fighting back the urge to laugh, as she returned her focus back to the herb grasped between her claws. Nilanth then tilted her head in thought upon hearing Kaytsak's question. A small smirk appearing on her face as she passed the Goldenrod back to him." Yes, four more Goldenrod, and just so we don't have to spend hours upon hours searching for the others herbs, how about you find the rest of the Goldenrod, and I'll go look for the others, then we'll meet back here, alright?", she replied.

Nezula nodded a little as she watched him exit the room before slowly closing her eyes to sleep. X looked at Astarot as she tilted her head a bit before she stood up from her previously curled up position. She then moved to the king's shoulders, trying to look over his wings.

Kadaqua was slightly rushing all over the infirmary, grabbing specific herbs and items and bringing them over to satchel, gathering things that she might need for a small journey. As she moved to a table to look at a piece of parcel that seems to be map, it was then that she heard someone entering the infirmary.

Kaytsak watched as the white dragoness gave back the goldenrod before nodding slowly,"I guess that makes sense." He said as he started to think about it while he tilted his head just a bit,"Alright, I guess that works. Cover more ground faster." He said.

Astarot

Astarot walked in silence as he searched for his mate. His thoughts taking on the form of a never ending storm deep within his mind. Being able to talk with his daughter had helped soothe his previous fears and worries. But it still didn't stop his concern for her. Furthermore, he now had to try and find a way to tell his beloved Sunlight about Nez's two elements situation. Even more importantly, should he tell her? Would it be crossing a boundary with his daughter? And how would she react to the news?

Shaking his head, the golden dragon then switched to his next topic. Letting Nez explore the world beyond their kingdom. He meant it when he said that she'll be needing to learn self defence. No hatchling of his was going anywhere without first learning how to fight and defend themselves. He will entrust Lyth to begin her training once she was well enough to do so.

His thoughts were soon interrupted, when he felt tiny claws moving across his back. Pausing, he glanced back at the hatchling to see what she was up to. He couldn't help but let out a small huff in amusement as he watched her try to peak over his wing." A nosy little thing aren't you?", he asked. However, any further amusement quickly vanished as a small frown appeared on his face. They still didn't know where 'X' came from, or if there was anyone out there looking for her. Furthermore, why was she in the river? Did she trip in or was she running from something?

He didn't know, and it made him worried for the young hatchling. Adding onto the stress he was already feeling for his biological daughter.

Kyloth

As the shadow dragon flew towards the infirmary, he couldn't help but glance at his surroundings. His amber gaze landing on areas that were still recovering from the recent attack. They were lucky that the warning came early, or otherwise there wouldn't be much of their kingdom left. However, despite the relief he felt, Kyloth couldn't help but frown as a thought entered his mind. If it weren't for his family living here, would he have been a part of the attack?

Narrowing his pupils, Kyloth chose to ignore this question as his destination came into view. No point in worrying about what might have been. Right now, Nez was the only priority. With a huff, he landed as quietly as he could on the ground before walking towards the infirmary's entrance. The sound of someone rushing about inside, caused him to pause and listen. Only when he was certain that it was neither some spy or thief, did he then walk inside.

Only to watch in both confusion and amusement as he watched Kadaqua move around. When she finally noticed him, he only offered a small smirk as he tilted his head to the side." Uh, is this a bad time? Should I come back later?", he asked.

Nilanth

The white dragoness felt the corners of her lips turn upwards into a brief smile. Her blue eyes taking on a faint mischievous glow underneath the dim light of the trees." Good, we'll meet up back here within a couple of minutes or however long it takes to find everything", she replied. Before stretching out her wings, and turning in a random direction. It was odd not having either Tattken of Xyalon here to help her, but it wasn't unwelcomed. She just hoped that the boys weren't getting into any kind of trouble without her.

Glancing over her shoulder, Nilanth flashed a rare toothy grin at Kaytsak. One she reserved only for her two best friends. Before taking off in the direction she picked. Her wings were tight against her side, so that they wouldn't catch on any branches or low hanging foliage." Last one back is a rotten egg!", she called out.

Adelind

The purple dragoness landed carefully within the camp. A freshly caught deer dangled from her jaws as she made her way to the entrance of her and her mate's cave. Normally, she would of caught more than one piece of prey. But considering with the secret she was currently carrying, she had decided it would be better to not over exhort herself. Besides the deer wasn't for her, it was for Zarak. Since she wasn't quite sure when her mate and king had last ate.

As her mind travelled to her mate, she recalled her eldest son's words. About his suggestions and the actions she should take should the situation turn ugly. It had taken a long time for her to consider her options while mindlessly flying and hunting, but she had finally come to a decision. She was going to wait for a chance to subtly bring the subject up and test the waters. She wasn't going to run or hide. That wasn't who she was. She was a proud and ruthless warrior of their dark kingdom. Although, she did wish the motherly instincts would go away soon.

Dipping her head through the entrance, Adelind allowed her eyes to briefly adjust to the change in lighting before stepping inside. Feeling the heat from the sun vanish from her scales as she moved through the cool darkness of the cave. Glancing around, the dragoness tried to pinpoint where her mate would be or if he was already somewhere else." My love? I've returned", she called out into the darkness. At least, to the best of her ability with a mouthful of deer.

X looked at Astarot when he looked back at her and she tiled her head just a bit, looking at him as though she was completely innocent before suddenly sneezing a bit. Still feeling kind of wet, she stood up and shook her body and wings to get any extra water droplets off, mostly landing on the larger dragon's back. Her ears then pricked when she heard Sunlight's voice not too far a head of them before the hatchling gave a little giggle and crouched down to hide from sight, clearly playing hide and seek.
Sunlignt was watching down the hall, looking under tables against the wall and behind plants,"X? Where are you? I'm going to find you, wherever you are." She said playfully before hearing a little laugh and larger steps, causing her to look back to see her wonderful mate, but no hatchling,"My love, when did you start sounding so young?" She teased him a little as she started walking over to him.

Kadaqua smiled at him as she put an open book, kind of an old ratty looking one, down beside the map that was laid out on the table, shaking her head a bit to him,"No, not at all! What can I do for you?" She asked curiously as she grabbed something else and put it into the nearby satchel, making sure not to over fill it.

Kaytsak chuckled a bit and grinned back at Nilanth,"I hope you aren't a sore loser." He said as he too faced a different, random direction, shifting his wings ever so slightly,"Just give the word when. Oh, and I'll be sure not to tease you about being stinky." He said, referring to the rotten egg.

Zarak was in the deepest, darkest part of the cave, still laying there as his injuries healed from the previous battle. His joints were too sore and stiff this morning to even grab something to chomp on. His white eyes slowly opened up to the sound of claws on the stone floor, followed by a muffled voice,"Adelind. I didn't hear you leave this morning." He said quietly.

(Hey! Sorry for the long absence. 'Crazy' is definitely a word I'd use to describe this year, and yeah, I've been doing great so far. Although boredom does set in from time to time. I hope you are doing well too!)

Astarot

For a brief moment, Astarot worried that 'X' may have caught a cold from her earlier fall. Before silently reminding himself that it could just be a normal sneeze. The golden dragon then turned his head away from the hatchling upon hearing a familiar voice. A sudden realization dawned on him as a smile made its way across his face. So that's why you ran into Nezula's room, he thought. Before once more moving as his golden gaze landed on his mate. A warm chuckle bubbled out of his throat as amusement filled his gaze." I'm afraid that secret will have to be kept hidden, unless the spell is broken and I suddenly turn to dust", he replied. His tone equally teasing as he went to greet her.

Kyloth

Kyloth felt his smirk vanish as he was quickly reminded of why he had come here. The gravity of the situation once more dawning on him." It's Nez, his majesty has sent me to ask for anything that could help soothe her pain", he replied. He wasn't entirely sure what Kadaqua was doing, although he had a feeling it was probably related to herbs and medicine. Were they really running low that quickly? Or maybe he was just overthinking things?

Nilanth

Nilanth couldn't help but bark out a laugh, as she glanced behind her." Only if you aren't, and now moss brain!", she replied. Before darting off into the nearest bush. Her claws digging into the ground beneath her for both better purchase and to move faster." And we'll see about that!", she added. Not quite sure if he heard it or not.

Adelind

Adelind's gaze quickly snapped in the direction of the voice of her mate. Soft amber eyes landing on the shadowy shape at the back of the cave. Even though she was reluctant to say it out loud, she was beginning to grow worried about Zarak's health. But then again, he was still in recovery after all. Ignoring her thoughts and concerns, the purple dragoness made her way over to the male dragon's side. Carefully dropping her kill within Zarak's reaching distance." Either I've gotten better at moving around undetected, or you've suddenly grown old", she replied jokingly.

She then settled down on the ground next to him, while leaving a small gap between them. She wanted to smirk, but found herself choosing not to. She didn't know if it was because of the aftereffects of their defeat or some other reason. Whatever it was, she chose to ignore it for now." I apologize for not informing someone on where I was going before leaving, but I managed to catch something for you", she added.

(No worries! I totally understand. I've been doing well, thank you! I haven't quite reached boredom, but that might be since I'm still working a few a week and recently started playing ACNH.)

Sunlight smiled at her mate and giggled a bit at his response before nuzzling him a bit under the chin before she looked over his wing,"Boo! I found you, little one." She smiled, causing X to roll onto her back laughing. The white dragoness chuckled a good before looking back at Astarot,"So, how long did it take for her to hide on you?" She asked curiously.

The little healer dragon listened to him before nodding a little,"Oh, of course! One second!" She said before flying up to a slightly barren shelf to some herbs. On the open book on the table had old writing, riddles, plants and gems no dragon had even heard of before or were considered very rare, and a path was drawn out on the map under the book. Kadaqua had noticed that Kyloth was looking towards the items on the table and she could tell he wanted to know,"I can tell you want to ask." She said.

Kaytsak chuckled as he just made out what she had yelled after he had bolted into the other direction. He felt as though he had an advantage, mostly because he only gad to find goldenrod while she had to find everything else. On the other hand, she would probably know where to find most of the herbs. Shaking his head a bit to clear his thoughts, he then started to take a deep breath to see if he could catch it's scent.

Zarak glad at his mate with a slight smirk,"Better hope it's the first. I'm not that old." He grumbled quietly before looking at the lifeless deer dropped in front of him,"It's fine. I haven't seen anyone anyways." He said reaching a claw out to grip the deer and drag it closer to him so he could start feasting on it.

Astarot

Astarot let out a soft rumbling noise similar to that of a purr, as he nuzzled his mate in return. Before glancing over his shoulder at the giggling hatchling on his back. A warm smile crossing his face before he returned his attention back towards Sunlight." Not too long, I was with Nez when she suddenly burst into the room, nearly gave us both a heart attack when she slipped into the water, she's been on my back ever since", he replied. His smile fading slightly at the reminder of his daughter's condition. Once more wondering if he should tell his mate what Nezula had told him or wait for his daughter to tell her in her own time. It didn't help that he still felt guilty for everything that had happened to her." I'm worried about her, Sun, if I had known that Zarak was planning to capture her, then maybe I could of prevented it and Nez wouldn't be-", he began but cut himself off. How could he call himself a father, when he wasn't even there to protect his own daughter from getting hurt.

Kyloth

Kyloth nodded at her, before his gaze once more glanced at the table. A frown slowly crawled across his face as he gazed at the book and map in confusion. Without even realizing it, he had subconsciously inched closer towards the table. His inner curiosity having gotten the better of him. Upon hearing Kadaqua's voice he glanced up in surprise before quickly looking off to the side. His face heating up from the embarrassment of being caught. Once he was certain that his voice wouldn't fail him, he looked back at the healer." What is all of this? I've never seen it before", he replied.

Nilanth

Nilanth listened to her surroundings as she made her way towards the river. A smile quickly making its way across her face as she spotted the marigold she was looking for. Being careful to not accidentally crush any as she placed it gently within her makeshift bag. Once she was sure she had enough, she then moved onto the next herb on the list. Yarrow. Which wasn't too hard to find. Since as she had stated to Kaytsak, they were quite easy to find." Right, all that's left is Chervil and Snake root", she murmured. Before once more taking off to find the last two herbs on her list.

Adelind

Adelind forced back a chuckle at her mate's response. Only to frown slightly at what he said next. She had at least expected Eclipse to come speak to him. Considering the younger dragon was always somewhere nearby at the ready." Really? Why's that?", she asked. A feeling of genuine concern for her mate's health suddenly went through her. Although, a small part of her did wonder on whether or not she was overreacting.

Sunlight smiled as she listened to him, shifting her wings to give them some circulation again. Her smiled slowly frowned at the mention of X falling into the water before she sighed softly,"Astarot, you and I both wish we could turn back time to stop that dark lord from taking and ambushing Nez, but what's done is done, and she is alive and recovering." She told him before gently nuzzling him to comfort and assure him,"We can't do anything about the past, but we can sure do something about the future." She said.

Kadaqua smiled at him before she put the some herbs and some ointment into a pouch before she glided back to the table,"Well, I was in the royal library the other day, reading up on the legends of the crystal dragons that they had, when I read something quite intriguing. As we know, these dragons of old had many secrets and knowledge that is unknown to us, but there's a legend here of a cave with crystels and gems, and plants that they managed somehow breed for amazing healing capabilities." Her emerald green eyes shimmered for a brief moment,"Anyways, I was doing some more digging on this and I think I've managed to decipher a location." Kadaqua flapped her wings excitedly before looking at him,"Don't you get what this means? If I got some of these plants, I could make a tonic that could heal Nez faster then anything I've ever worked with!" The little dragon smiled.

Kaytsak continued to walk around as he took in the scents around him before he caught the one he was looking for,"Yes! Goldenrod! Now to find it and win this little bet." He said before moving after the scent. As he moved along, je had to remind himself how many more goldenrods the healer wanted,"Four more. That's all I need to get." He said to himself as he continued to run.

Zarak glanced at his mate while he ate, shiftiing his wings slightly at his side,"Why do you think? After our humiliating defeat, they're weary of my wrath and know to stay away. Plus with so many injured, they're all hiding and giving themselves time to heal." He spoke slowly before suddenly ripping some meat off of the meal that lay before him.
