Kestrelflight let her rest for a moment or two before he started going back to camp again, going a bit slower for her than he'd gone before.

Aspentail narrowed his eyes sternly at her. "I want you to go see if Silverleaf needs anything. Make sure you clean out her bedding."

petalfall followed after kestrelflight, though he was going slow it was still a bit fast for her. though she couldn't keep up gash and trout seemed to be doing just fine.

sweetpaw sighed and nodded, walking back towards the elders' den, hanging her head.

"let's get going," skystar said in a swift manner, bounding towards the scent of the near by fox.

Noticing how Petalfall still seemed to be struggling to keep up even though he'd slowed down, Kestrelflight slowed until he was beside her. "Are you sure your okay?" He asked. "Maybe you should go see Bluemoon when we get back."

Aspentail followed, only slowing just enough to make sure the others were with him and Skystar. Blizzardheart and Tinyfang were on one side while Lichenflower ran at his other side. The tortoishell's eyes were frantic with worry but he could make out the glint of determination in them. She wouldn't let the fox harm her kit.

petalfall nodded as she limped along. "i'll be fine," she countered then tried to pick up the pace to keep up with them.

skystar, runningtail, blizzardheart and tinyfang kept along until they saw the fox in front of them. "tinyfang, you get otterpaw and mapleclaw," skystar ordered in a whisper. he nodded, ready to get his friend and lichenflower's daughter back to the clan.

Kestrelflight gave her a slightly doubtful look but didn't press her for more. They were almost at camp now. He glanced at Gash and Trout. "You two better stay behind us. They'll be worried if the first thing they see coming into camp is unfamiliar cats."

Otterpaw sat up quickly, relieved to see the patrol race into sight. She looked up at Mapleclaw. "Can we help fight off the fox?" She asked hopefully. Now that the others were here, Otterpaw's fear was beginning to fade and she now wanted to try out some of the battle moves her two mentors had taught her.

Lichenflower made sure Runningtail and Otterpaw were safe and glanced at Skystar, waiting for her signal to attack the fox.

trout shook his head. "our deal was that we would get you here safely and you would take us to your leader," he said. gashed nodded. "we did agree to that, kestrelflight," petalfall said.

skystar signaled for tinyfang to go behind the tree, which he did, creeping in the tall grass. she eyed everyone and said, "three." "two." "one." "go!" skystar, blizzardheart and runningtail leapt out of the grass, running towards the fox.

mapleclaw shook her head. "for now we just need to get back to camp," she said. she quickly grabbed otterpaw's scruff and handed her down to tinyfang before running back to camp with the two.
