The blonde wondered the halls of the Renier Family Estate running a hand through his hair as he did so. Green eyes focused forward even with greeting the staff members he passed by as he walked. But this walk was nothing special. Just his typical rounds around the manor. Everything from patrols for security sake (in case any soldiers decided to go rouge again or Hunter popped up) to what you would expect of a young lord of a household. Well really a lady's task since the house was her responsibility, but with the abstance of such it had fallen to Lucas to conduct the house affairs. Or so it was up until a month ago at any rate.
The night his brother had returned to the manor with the princess unconsciously in tow was the craziest night the place had seen in hundred of years. It was not a night he would forget lightly. The way his older brother had looked when he returned with the princess......it stirred something inside of Rigel that was unexpected. Rigel had grabbed the human prince and held him back from going to his sister as the urge to gaurd the human tingled along his nerves. It was as though an enemy vampire had shown up in the house. Lucas had appeared in a way which he hadn't in so long that seeing it again, though the younger knew him perfectly capable of it, kicked his normal childish reckless little brotherness right out leaving only pureblooded vampire behind. He'd shouted for the staff before whisking Haruna away to his room and locked him in there, placing a staff member at the door gaurd. He wasn't taking any chances with the eldest and the human prince.
But that hubbub was a month in the past.
Since then Lucas had shut himself away, diving fangs first into the duties of an Army General while keeping himself out of the princess's sight and path. Thus the duties were silently split between the two brothers. The eldest handling the king and military affairs. While the youngest delt with the control of the household and town, becoming the public face of the Renier Family literally over night. Teamwork. Thats how they handled the situation. It was how they best functioned and accomplished what they were able to accomplish.
