i follow kins slowly..
my stomach rumbles suddenly.
i focus on a nearby bird .........

i see k glancing at a bird in the corner of my eye. looks like a robin to me. for a moment, i think of killing it. but its rather small and we wouldnt be able to share it...
"go for it." i say softly, stopping in my tracks.

my eyes brighten
i pad toward the robin, hopping in the tall dry grass. as i get closer and closer all i can think about is my teeth sinking through the little things neck.
i am so focused on the bird that i don't see the pot hole in front of me. i feel my left leg collapse underneath me, i cry in pain as the bird fly's away.

i had gotten comfortable in my position, when i hear a cry and a rustle. i run over to the sound and see k stuck in the ground. i gently grab her right leg and pull her out of the hole.
"how did that happen?" i ask curiously.

i stumble into an upright position and sigh loudly.
"it just sort of happened i guess.. lets just keep going," i say as i limp ahead.

i keep walking further into the woods.

time passes by as we wander through the forest, not exactly quite sure where we're going.
i find myself lagging behind, as i cant handle this hunger and thirst. i find myself hallucinating, seeing birds and deer wherever i look.

i hadnt even realized where we were going. it suddenly got way more humid than it was in the woods.
i couldnt be bothered to look up.

the feeling of sweat dripping down my nose is incredibly unpleasant...
i lick my nose continuously to remove the little salty droplets

my head hits a large, wet leaf. big sparkles rush down my forehead, and i look up.
"woah..." i said, staring at the huge rainforest in front of us.
