idly eating at the mush he had in front of him, that he and everyone ate every meal time, he glanced around the room. The guards surrounding the entire room, suited up, rifles across their chest in typical military fashion. their eyes shielded by a helmet, only their nose and mouth showing underneath. He eyed each of the guard closely, trying to figure out which one could be a weak link or what their weaknesses were. Most of them would be pain he suspected. Pain was a dangerous thing and something to not take lighting. Shifting his head to the he door, he saw zeph. speak of the devil he thought as small smirk played at his lips. Leaving the girl fm be rather confused by his expression. But soon enough, he saw Ezekiel join her and he rolled his eyes a little. But the smirk never left his mouth, in fact it spread before he looked down to eat some more of the mush.
Hearing more footsteps as more people entered the room, he didn't bother to lift his head and look at them. He ate the mush silently and rather quietly, as he kept to himself. The mush wasn't that bad despite the grey and lumpy look of which it consisted of. But it was long for his sense of silence by himself until he heard an all too familiar voice. He lifted his head and looked right at jayce. Yes jayce. He instantly frowned, and raised an eyebrow. Normally he would have snapped at most people for calling him Lucy or Lucinda, but lately he hasn't kind of gotten use to it. Either that, or today he seemed more mellow than normal he didn't know. But seriously people better appreciate this, it isn't everyday he is mellow and humble.
Lucifer rolled his eyes at jayce's comment, "ah, it's nice to see you too jayce. To tell you my secret on how to put on the most stunning scowl would prohibited, and against my every being!" he gasped mockingly and placed ahead over his chest. However, he soon, glanced over jayce before he spoke again, "But what tell me, hasn't it been a month since we have last seen each other?" he spoke tilting his head a little and smirking, "I didn't think a pretty face could change so quickly in a month." he stirred jayce teasingly, before his smirk slid away. He looked down at the mush and fiddled with it with a spoon before dropping the spoon back down. Lucifer sighed as he lifted his head and looked around once again, nothing much o do but wait for the others and that was beginning to make him impatient. He groaned a little in annoyance to himself as he sighed heavily.
Hearing jayce speak once again, his dark gaze looked at the other male. He shook his head at the answer to seeing the others yet, "only zephryne and zeek. I'm sure he others will be here soon." he responded before actually registering the rest of his comment and groaned, typical jayce. He should have suspected he would pull a stunt like this. "seriously mate? You can't do that. I can understand why you would tell saadi cause you definitely wouldn't be okay with it." he spoke in a hushed annoyed tone as his dark eyes locked onto jayce with intense seriousness. However, lucifer sighed and leaned back as he looked around spoke skye and felt a instinct o be protective of her kick in. He looked away before looking at jayce, "fine, do it, but you can't make me do anything. Like I can't make you do anything. So I will be going with you. I know Saadi will probably kills us, that's if we even get out alive, but at least you will have someone to know how to deal with her." he spoke with a small smile, which was for once genuine. Looking back at Skye and smiled at her, "oi, blonde, get your arse over here." he waved her over with a warm smile on his face. As much as he tried to hide it, he always felt an overwhelm of happiness. At times anyways. Sometimes the two could bicker like no tomorrow, much like siblings. Speaking of siblings, sometimes he would become distant because she seemed to be so much like his once little sister scarlet. His smile instantly slipped away at the thought.
Looking down once again, he frowned at the steel table he was seated at. He heard a voice break through his subconscious and brought him back to reality. He lifted his head looking at Saadi and heard what she called him. He waved his hand in dismiss of the name, "yes, nice nickname. You know what, sadly I'm used to all this name calling. so no matter what spin you put on luci, i will be used to it" he shrugged his shoulders simply, but a smirk played on his lips. "but Lucille? Hmmm, never heard that one. Good one Saadi." he commented with a nod and chuckled softly. Rare thing to hear, but the male did sometimes laugh, just he had a unique sense of humour to most people. Hearing her comment, he nodded, "from what I gather, everything seems to be in place." he spoke as his eyes flickered to jayce and studied him for a moment. Then flickered his dark gaze back to Saadi. "so whenever your ready. Give the signal and let's hope we make it out of here alive." he smirked, and rubbed his hand together eager to get back at the guards and out of here in general. It has been far too long and he needs to get out of here.

Looking around the cafeteria, she sighed heavily, and began to tap her foot impatiently. She rested her head on the table as she watched and waited. She looked over at lucifer and saw his smirk and frowned, why was he smirking at her? she thought as she frowned at him. He didn't seem to respond to her confusion though. Which only confused her even more. "strange man." she muttered and shook her head. She close down her eyes with a softy sigh yang quietly about the plan. Going over it over and over and over again to make sure there was no holes in the plan. Although, she knew better, Saadi wouldn't leave anything out. She knew what she was doing. At that, Shen opened her eyes, seeing zeek sit down beside her. She smiled softly at him, "of course." she responded with a smirk pulled up at the corner of her mouth, "who do you call me for?" she scoffed jokingly and shook her head at the male with a playful smile.
Sighing, she looked around the room and towards Saadi and saw her looked over to her. She smiled brightly to her best friend and gave an eager thumbs up in her direction. "looks like we are about ready." she spoke to Ezekiel and herself. Her gaze flickering over to him with an eager gaze. Hearing footsteps walk pass her table, and drum finger tips on the table. She looked at the hand before looking where the hand was connected to. Instantly seeing the grin, she grinned back eagerly. Tobias. Or Toby to her. She felt happiness spark within her as she saw him walk away. She shook her head before she looked back at zeek once again.

"Here's to hoping that my pretty face hasn't changed for the worst in your eyes, yeah?" He stared at his food, the cocky smirk pulling at his lips in the company of Lucifer. My, my, it had been long indeed. He definitely missed the voice of a friend. He wouldn't exactly go around calling Viktor a friend, now, could he? Especially with what he planned to do with the guard later. It was only a matter of time before the man realized just how venomous a kiss from Jayce could be. These days, a night with him was just as easily a invitation for somebody to sign their life away. It was a right shame, to be completely serious. But hey, Jayce wouldn't sleep on it if you wouldn't judge him on it. Keep on keeping on. Jayce rather wished that his greatest love was with one of the friends he hadn't seen in a month, but in truth, he had two beautiful subjects that he was easily in love with. And neither of them were in here. Jayce regarded Lucifer with a certain amount of skepticism. He would probably slow Jay down.
The man didn't really do partners when he was being stupid. Okay. that is absolutely false. It wouldn't be Jayce if he didn't have some loyal doting friend connected at his hip while his ridiculous antics took control. But his wonderful but deadly pistols were in the hands of damn dirty Russian slobs. Dear God, he could only imagine how they've been treated thus far. The idea that strangers had been holding his weapons, doing God knows what with them, gave Jayce nightmares. He was going to rescue them. But Lucifer wasn't wrong. Jay couldn't stop the man if he felt that the sharpshooter was incompetent. It was amusing, and possibly... "Sweet of you to care so much about me, Hellboy. If you can keep up, then meet me on the third floor. I'll be there. Bring that smile of yours. It looks good on you."
And with that, Saadi, the women of the hour - the master of balancing discord with order - was gracing the two men with her appearance. And what an appearance it was. His eyes softened when he saw her, and his smile only doubled in mischief. "Saadi," he cooed, her name rolling out of his lips, "You don't see your favorite mistake of a man in a month, and all I get out of you is a halfhearted acknowledgment? I'm almost offended." Jayce hadn't actually touched a bit of his food. As stated before, this was nothing new. Not a big eater, Atkins. His gaze flicked around the room, doing a once over on everybody's position. They all seemed so ready to fight. It filled Jayce with quite a fair amount of pride to have known them in school. Even if he'd never spoken to some of them, he'd known who they were. He knew everybody at school.
That was simply a thing Jayce did wherever he went. He knew the names of approximately fifty guards in this facility. he knew them by word of mouth. He knew them my mouth to mouth. And yes, he knew them simply by paying attention. It was amazing what your human mind could learn when you just paid attention. Right now, Jayce was surveying the mess hall. There was Skye, with Rhena of course. The duo was the talk of the town, he's begun to understand. Then, at a separate table, Zeek was still with Zeph, the Z's in their names only causing confusion between those who didn't know them. Then what to his wondering eyes should appear, but two raging sociopaths, mad in their combined destructiveness. His eyes fell first on Tobias, finding that he'd rather missed the man's company. And then, Daichi Akino. What to make of him, indeed. He felt a pang of guilt for not telling the crazy man that he wouldn't be following them out right away. He missed making the fire pup blow up in frustration. Jayce let out a small little laugh, shaking his head at the group of misfits. He was going to miss all of these people when he left them. It was only a matter of time.
His gaze fell on the two people that had he was closest to, Saadi and Lucifer, giving them one last warm smile, before pushing the food away from himself. "I suppose everybody is here. Which is my cue to not be here. Give me the word, love, and I'll give you a distraction that would make a magician proud," Jayce dipped his head respectively at the girl, his mind on the mission at hand. Then he moved away from all of them, standing far enough away to go talk to a group of facility workers that had taken a liking to him. he almost apologized for what he was about to do to them. It was about time that he put his powers to the test for the first time. Jayce had been such a good dog. he was ready to bite the hand that had been feeding him. You know, he didn't like depression. He didn't like coping with it on his own a mile underground. He didn't like the fact that these people had roughed up his friends. Jayce was ready to show this place just how big of a mistake they'd made by letting him come up to the mess hall for an afternoon. He had to admit, it was smart leaving him underground. You really shouldn't have a crazy man, arguably dead inside, mix with the living. Especially. After. Taking. That. Man's. Guns.
☁ Skye
[age: twenty // nname: n/a] - [location: tba] - [tags: rhene, lucifer mentions: various peeps]
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Skye was.... what was she doing? The girl closed one eye and tilted her head to the side to look at the art on her plate. It... sort of looked like a dog. But the more she looked at her food art, the harder it was to recognize the clump of grey matter as anything other than a clump of grey matter. She couldn't eat, right now. Her stomach was flipping uncomfortably. She wasn't violent in the slightest. She had about as much rebellious blood in her as Hitler had love in his heart. Was that analogy okay to think? Well, she obviously couldn't take it back now, could she? No. The girl tapped her fingers anxiously against the metal table, smiling at the tune which resembled some type of music she'd mix if she were back home. That... that was a joke. Skye didn't have any musical talent and her sporadic tapping was a clear example of this. There was no rhythm but she kept to it like it had some very important meaning. Tap. Pause. Tap tap tap tap. Pause two paces. Tap another two times. Then pause two more. See? Absolutely no rhythm despite the fact that she knew exactly how the beat went. Maybe it was just a nervous habit she'd developed after waking up from her coma years ago.
A voice caught her attention and Skye looked up, her passive expression adopting quite a wide smile. Rhene had appeared with two cups of coffee, and the blonde pushed away her plat of grey food to make grabbie hands at the cup. "Oh my God, Rhene. You have no idea how much I love you right now. If I were bi, I'd kiss you. Might just do it anyways!" Her eyes crinkled gratefully as she took the cup, pressing her lips against the lid and yelping back when it burnt her tongue. Why? Why did she never learn? Rhene brought her so much coffee, and she would never learn from her mistakes. Looking at the devilish cup, she fixed her problems rather quickly. Focus and furrowed brows met her smiling expression as she held out her hands. "Hey, hey. Look. I've been working on this during solitary confinement hours." The girl stared at her open palm and something seemed to be happening with the atmosphere. You could see parts of it separate and soon, the water vapor collected and began to freeze in layers on her palm. It was such a delicate process, learning to control the water vapor in the air to create ice from seemingly nothing. It was a lot of teasing and coaxing her element into place. If she let loose, who knows what she'd be able to do. For now, the answer was ice cubes. The longer she focused, the faster the process became. Soon, she was holding five of them. However she only dropped three in her coffee.
"One day, I'll figure out how to make an igloo, and I'll adopt a penguin and live in it forever. Or.... maybe a polar bear." She pushed the lid back over the coffee and took a well deserving drink. Oh man, it was definitely worth every effort spent making it drinkable as soon as possible. Those guards must be trying to get in good graces with her best friend. There was no way this coffee would be so good, otherwise. "Codeword. Codeword... polar bear. They're adorable and I love them. But I don't think I could get away with having a polar bear and a penguin at the same time. That might cause domestic troubles at the Everfalls igloo residence, and I just want everybody to be happ-" She was rambling nonsense. It was nonsense and she honestly had to just stop. But she hadn't stopped because she realized that she was rambling. A sudden voice had rung out in the mess hall, and if she hadn't been able to recognize Lucifer's voice above everybody else's, she would have just overlooked it. After all, the last time she checked - her name wasn't 'Blonde'. Blonde, Skye wasn't even a natural blonde. She used to have dark red hair but a week after her coma, the girl's hair had started turning blonde. She figured it had to do with her element. Skye could wear all the jackets in the world, but she'd always be cold. It was a major blow.
"I am being told to deliver my arse," Skye muttered, her brows furrowing playfully as she looked at her friend. Who was over there right now? Well, there was Jayce, probably fawning over all the attractive people in the mess hall. It was either that or he was daydreaming the fact that he would very soon be getting the chance to kill people. Her eyes screwed up at that disturbing little thought. If somebody had told her that the kid she knew in school would grow up to be as screwed up as he was now, she would have rolled her eyes. He'd been a rather warm person once upon a time. Definitely never the kind to actually enjoy killing somebody. Oh boy. Nope, there was that nausea again. What the actual hell was she doing here? These people didn't want her in their army. She wasn't a weapon. She couldn't actually take somebody's life. She grew up a normal kid. She'd been going to college when all of this broke down for crying out loud.
And here I thought that the worst thing that could happen during a study abroad trip was getting lost and not being able to effectively communicate due to lack of social skills. Oh man, she'd been wrong. Well, at least she could make it look like she was down for some sicknasty revenge strife. For now, she just wanted to drink her coffee and have Rhena accompany her over to the others. She sighed and stood up. "I should go see what he wants. Oh man, Saadi's over there. I swear, if she tries to make me kill people.... Come with me?" Her eyes were hopeful as she crossed the mess hall and sat down just as Jay moved away from the table. She cocked a brow and did a little wave that went unnoticed. Hmm. And sit. Skye ordered herself, a natural follower, Skye had effectively brought her arse over. The girl sat down next to Lucifer and bumped her shoulder against his as she looked over her shoulder for Rhene. But to him, she spoke in a side handed whisper, "It's really happening today, isn't it? We're breaking out? Luc, you be careful. Okay? My arse isn't over here for nothing."

It was all narrowed down to his eyes. Daichi's gaze was sharp, cutting through hearts and the air like dark blades of obsidian. Threatened to sever hearts, throats, veins... His chin tilted upwards at that thought, fingers slowly curling. Just one mistake. That's all the guards needed to make in order for Daichi to slip in and do his job. Quite craved that prospect of destruction, the small thought of taking the world down burning. Oh, they'd certainly pay in damages for what they've done to him. His skin would twitch every so often as the curl of energy, like smoke, danced through his system, touching muscles and nerve endings, giving him promise and hope. But that hope wasn't white -- wasn't good, wasn't pure. But it was enough for Akino to hold onto, something to push towards.
The Russians, they were relentless. They tried everything to try and throw a collar and lead onto Daichi, wanting him chained and bound to them. But the fire element had other plans, trying to push back and resist. Didn't always work, because here he was. It was hell, the things the soldiers did to try and control whatever they could of him. Fire proximity suits, that was the second thing they'd tried. They outfitted both Daichi and the guards who were in control of his cell in them, but it seemed the only one ungrateful for them was Daichi. Fire would shove outwards from his body, hit inside of the suit, and... nothing. Trapped. Couldn't burn the damn thing, and couldn't hurt anyone. The only reason the soldiers wore it was as a just in case. But there was nothing they could do to keep their emotional vocabularies to themselves. Daichi had full access to that, each spike of emotion that tore through each and every man and woman in that compound. All except for one, that is.
Speak of the devil. She sauntered into the room, holding something in each hand. Graced him with a glare, something pulling taut inside of Daichi's body, threatening him to push forward and to react. Useless flames burst to life, only to be snuffed out by the suit. That made him growl, draw himself more towards the wall, into the corner. But, there were other matters. Other people. And Rhena? She was inconsequential right now. She wanted nothing to do with Daichi (for now, at least), so the man quickly moved on, head tilting down and to the right as he watched the group interact with one another.
Until he earned his own company -- this time, in the form of the electric conduit. Tobias. Daichi's eyes flicked to him immediately, open wide -- head down, eyes up -- as he watched him approach. Daichi's posture immediately changed, turning from one that a predator may assume to one more self-assured and less out-for-the-kill. Pulled himself up, shoulders down and back. Now, that didn't really help him much here. Still had to look up to Tobias. Daichi let a grin spread across his face, purely emulating the one that Reeves often gave off himself. Not genuine, not his. Let his eyes wander over to the group forming at the opposite of the room. "I'd be honoured to, Mister Reeves," he murmured, flicking his eyes back to Tobias. He needed this thing off. Tobias was a well of energy and potential all locked away behind the Russian's efforts to cage him. And Daichi needed that spark, needed that rush, the burst, the snap of electricity to take to him, to fuel and fan the flames that have been so desperate to escape.
When she wasn't talking, she was observing. Saadi was just about to open her mouth when Rhenawedd entered the room, carefully moving through the room towards her, Jayce, and Lucifer. But Saadi knew full well that they were not her target, no. Her head tilted a bit when she began to speak, but the information was a punch to the gut. Before Al-Hasheem even had a chance to question it, Rhena was gone. How many times have these guards threatened her with a gun to her head, snarling and barking orders to her? How many times have they been lying? Oh, hopefully this information wouldn't fall to their more volatile group members. It seemed guns were constantly pointed to some of them (here's looking at you, Tobias and Daichi), and if they were to find out that those threats were empty... Oh, she could only imagine that carnage. They wouldn't take it lying down, no.
Her head lifted when Lucifer turned from Jayce to her, Saadi's arms crossing carefully over herself. "Name calling," she muttered, repeating the word back to him before snapping her attention around the room, then back to him. "Well I'm glad you've gotten used to it. Because there'll be hells more where that came from. Now, I didn't come over here to meddle over name preferences," shot a glare at Lucifer, her hands pressed together. Made a headcount of everyone in the room, nodding slowly. Everyone was here. But -- oh, Jayce. "I apologise for not fully offending you, then. I'll try harder next time." Her eyes rolled, shooting a carefully composed look to him. "Jayce," she snapped out in response to his words that announced his departure -- but, but, he was gone. Did he even know what he was doing? Or the plan? No, probably not. Jayce didn't listen to orders. At least, not from her. Jayce was Jayce, and he followed Jayce's rules. Not Saadi's. And for someone who needed control in order to keep her house in check? Oh, she hated it. Hated it.
Turned back to Lucifer, keeping herself composed and careful. "Everyone's in place, yes..." But did everyone know what was going on? She'd run through it with them as many times as she could, debriefing and debriefing and debriefing. Telling them the plan, laying it all out in a highly strategic and understandable manner. Made sure that there were no questions. "We're getting out of here alive," she told Lucifer, her dark eyes narrowing. "And don't you dare waste your time telling me otherwise." They were going to get out of here, and they were going to be free. "Now. Give it a few minutes." Her eyes travelled to the soldiers that stood in front of their exit, a hand going to her cheek as she sighed. More time. All she needed was minutes. Then she'd signal Jayce, needed him to draw the soldiers out. That's where they'd make their break. She could easily grasp those minutes, feel the seconds pull apart and tick and turn in her mind. Her eyes closed, Saadi rocking back a bit, leaning against the metal table and tipping her head up. Minutes.

A tray rattled down the conveyor behind him, gloved fingers curled into the plastic. Tobias was rather uncaring of the slop they dished out, the same grey substance poured onto a plate and dropped onto his tray as he moved on down the line. Wasn't like a cloud, either, he wouldn't have minded if it looked like a cloud but the consistency of the food was rather... odd, for lack of a better word. His nostrils flared as a stray bolt of static arced across his shoulders. His teeth snapped together with a judder. Oh, yes. Toby shook himself out and swallowed the energy, pulling the fizzles back into his body and storing it in his blood. He was well beyond breaking point by now, the pulse of it tugging his heart into overdrive. He was bitter, hurt, and fuelled with rage.
Ahh, but Daichi. Daichi, Daichi, Daichi. He watched with dark eyes as the male leashed his killer, adopting a look somewhat akin to a monster wearing a human skin. Monsters were drawn to monsters, after all. Even if Daichi was a hollow one, drawing upon other people's emotions and feelings to fill the void central to his chest. Wondered if the man was ever his own person, or just a patchwork of other people he had picked up along the way. Well, didn't exactly matter -- Tobias was here for the heat. The flame, the singed skin -- he was here for the burn. "You pick that outfit all by yourself?" he grinned, tilting his head down to look at Daichi. Fire and electric just worked well. The two components: you needed a spark to light a fire, after all. And it was a service Toby would willingly provide, given the right incentive. His fingertips ran along the edge of his tray and then touched at the metal, eyes darting from that false smile and towards the guards stationed by the doors. "Good to hear, Akino, good to hear," he tapped into the anger of the fire prince, the dial in his mind turning upwards, but wavering at a certain point. Anger, yes. But of a different kind. Tobias willed the dial up a degree; just one, one small, little notch. Just to see the effects.
There couldn't be anything better than waves and waves of violence flooding your heart! He was certain Daichi would appreciate it. Well, almost. But it was enough. "What do you say to a bit of destruction?" You afraid of the collateral damage? Tobias wasn't a circuit -- didn't have a fuse to save him, there was no resistor there to curb the flow of electricity. Nor was he fitted with an attachment to the earth to discharge the static, oh no! There was no protecting anyone in this facility from a sudden surge of energy, was there now? And that's exactly was he was banking on. The same exact thing went for Daichi. His fire, the raw potential of an unhindered flame? It would be a massacre. Add a bit of electric into that field of flame and what did you have? Annihilation at its finest. Now, back to the one obstacle at hand. These suits. The cuffs binding the other detainees were easy. Tobias could fry them all without a second thought! Come on, give the conduit a challenge, please. Oh! And his electricity combined with fire? These two could raze the compound to the ground if they so wished; Toby just didn't happen to be in control of the electric, and to him? That was hardly a downside.

"Nice to see you too," she chuckled a bit, watching Skye's reaction to the steaming cup of caffeine. Oh, she was amusing, her actions definitely were. Using the plastic lid, she scooped up the whipped cream with the lip and proceeded to eat it. Out in the wild, where spoons weren't always readily available, a Rhena specimen could improvise. Couldn't help but to grin at the girl's comment, pressing the back of her hand to her face. "I'm not saying you should, but you definitely should." Rhena hissed slightly and tensed her shoulders, "No, do what you like, don't listen to me," oh gods. You see? This is why she barely talked to the group. Simple misunderstandings, and someone would end up with a chair to the face. It may or may not have occurred before, but now wasn't the time for a story or two of her past mistakes. And instead of cringing at her own mistakes, she could now chuckle at her friend's instead. Poor, poor Skye. You would think she would take more caution with these things, but no. Skye would have her ways. Aside from that, she furrowed her eyebrows as she spoke, lacing her fingers together and clutching the coffee cup in her hands. Rhena felt the warmth seep through her skin, which was a nice contrast to the cold that her friend was currently conjuring in the centre of her palms. Her lips curled into a smile as she watched the marvel, ice crystals seemingly gathering from nothing and moulding themselves into neat layerings of ice. Oh. A cube! She laughed as further water particles began to take shape and freeze, her fingertips reaching outwards to brush over the ice, half-believing them to shatter like an illusion. But no, they were tangible, and cold. "Admittedly, that's pretty cool." Her eyes almost matched the colour of the watery cubes, and she looked up at Skye in awe. "Can you create icicles, too?" Like the group of trigger-happy souls even needed another weapon. "Sacrilege," she teased, eyes widening a fraction as Skye dropped a trio of ice-cubes into her coffee cup.
Pulling up her sleeves and covering her hands from the chill, Rhena breathed a sigh. "Go for a penguin, penguins are cute. Get a cute penguin, Skye, a tiny, cute penguin. Only if you want too, of course," had to remember to tag on the end bit, she'd rather not have her friend suddenly dash off to adopt a penguin, despite the hilarity of the image in her head. "Polar bear, alright. In the event of a code polar bear scenario, what do we do?" her lips pressed together, her form leaning towards Skye as if this were a life or death situation. All part of the fun. "If you get a polar bear, I can make the penguin and the polar bear get along. Tell 'em to be friends, job done!" In truth, she hadn't tested her abilities on creatures. Maybe the language barrier would prove to be the only safe resort from her. Actually, could her skills even bypass human language barriers? Or was her compulsion more of an impulse thing? Hmm. Have to try that out sometime. The resident smoke conduit was about to add more, but the sharp voice of Lucifer cut her off. She made a belligerent noise at the thought of her friend disappearing. What could she do? Tell her no, and force her to stay? Yes, she could, but that was immoral. Her eyes fluttered over to the table housing Lucifer, Saadi and Jayce.
Lifted her hand, then, to offer her friend a small wave of goodbye. Oh well, Rhenawedd would have to make do with her cup of coffee and her own thoughts. What a horrible place to dwell. Her lips pushed into a thin line and she readjusted her beanie. Have to catch up with Skye afterwards, so it seemed. Turning back to her cup, she scooped up the last of the whipped cream, sparing not a lick of the sweet substance. Come with me? Oh! She was inviting Rhena to join over at the table. "Of course I will." She stood a moment later, shoving the lid back atop the cup so she could transport it with ease to the new table. "Save me a seat?" By the time Rhena sloped from the sidelines and onto the scene, Jayce had already up and vanished, leaving her with Skye, Lucifer and Saadi. Saadi was... was she rocking? Well, she'd finally broken under the stress. Gone. Almost laughed as she took her place at this new table alongside Skye. Her tongue passed across her teeth, greeting them with a nod.

a smirk played at the males lips as he heard Jayces comment and raised an eyebrow, "feeling a bit lonely, jayce?" he tilted his head to the side at the other male. "missing the feeling of having people falling for you, hey?" he asked before shaking his head. He didn't expect an answer to come from jayce, but to only throw the questions out into the open. Something he did a lot, he didn't really expect answers, as he found them himself, he wasn't stupid. lucifer could easily find out what he wnated to know, he had both power and the way people fear him. Admittedly, the way people could fear him made him feel powerful and dangerous. He wasn't a threat to be taken lightly at all. Turn your back on him and it may be the last thing you do. Not just that, but as lucifer keep to himself, he is very observant and can read people well. But definitely not to the extent that jayce can. With his ability to steal their identity and know all their memories, this made him cautious around jayce. However, still generally talked to him but avoid any physical contact. He didn't want jayce knowing anything about him. He didn't want anyone to know anything about him and his past in fact.
Hearing jayce, he rolled his eyes and adjusted himself on the seat. He continued to listen before he froze at his compliment to lucifer, as it caught him off guard. He should his head and sighed, "yes, I care very much for you jayce. In my weird complicated way." he spoke with slight sacasm but it was slightly true. As much a single the prince of darkness would like to disagree he did care...well, for a select few. He just refused to admit it and hide most of it away. Well, because of past experiences. "sounds like a plan, my fine fellow." he spoke a smile spread across his face, but his eyes spoke of a different story. Reading that he was ready to take on anything and everything. He would do anything to get out of here and get back at the guards that had held him in his cell for all this time.
Lucifer glanced at Saadi and heard her speak, and seeing her shot a glare in his direction. He raised his hands up in surrender and smirked, "I'm sorry, Saadi." he spoke in mock apology, but then again, he wasn't one to be apologetic or even sympathetic for that matter. He relaxed his arms back down by his side, as he idly ate at the food. He didn't want to look suspicious to the guards, but this was the usual anyways. Him and Saadi have their disagreement here and there, but what leaders don't argue? If there hasn't been co leaders arguing, he wouldn't believe it. At times, he did find the leader, Saadi, to be rather annoying and get under his skin, especially with the way she treats Skye. But yet, he still respects her, he just likes to test the boundaries. He wasn't ever born a follower but as a leader. So one of the reasons why, he is a co-leader with Saadi. Otherwise, he wouldn't have bothered.
Hearing Saadi'/ sharp and quick, he leaned against he turned so he straddled the chair and leant his chin on the back rest. He looked at her with dark eyes as she narrowed her own at him. He smirked at it, somehow finding it amusing, he didn't bother making a comment. He simply clicked his tongue before he heard her comment about giving it a few minutes. He was about to stand and walk off when he felt someone sit beside him. He lifted his head and lifted his leg over and turned around. Lucifer'/ dark gaze looked at the blonde haired girl, and saw it was Skye. He couldn't help feel relieved of having he remembered near by and safe beside him. He hadn't no clue why he felt this way, at times it made him uncomfortable and confused by these emotions. Some days hewould be away from her for days on end, the next he would not leave her side. Like a shadow forever watching over her. He felt her shoulder bump his and he instantly put an arm around her. He didn't turn his head as she whispered to him. Once she finished, he turned his head and smirked, "yes it is." he felt excitement build up inside him as he felt the shadows within him and that lurked around the room. The light above him flickered for a second before returning to normal. "me? Careful?." he couldn't help but laugh. "don't worry, I have always been a fighter. It will have to take thousands of these pathetic solider to take me down." he whispered beside her ear. His tone was softer and gentler, before he reached over and brushed a strand of her hair back behind her ear. He smiled generally for once in his life, before he smirked and ruffled her hair. "it will rake everything they got to take down me." he spoke held her in his shoulder protective. "just look out for yourself okay?." he spoke with seriousness, his gaze not leaving her face.
Until he looked at rhena and saw her nod. He looked at her for a moment before he rose to his feet. He placed a hand on saadi's shoulder, "okay, just give us the signal. I don't mean to get all sentimental here, but I do trust your judgement and that plan will work okay? As much as I can be an ass, I do trust you. Now, just let see This plan go into affect." he gave her shoulder a slight squeeze before he moved away from her. It felt strange being sentimental like that and speaking how he felt, what has gotten into him today? He shook his head at himself and sat down on a table, his dark gaze focused on a group of guards. He felt a smirk play at his lips, the shadows casted by the guards forms flickered and moved in their own way. Almost like they were alive and wnated to get out. He could sense the other shadows around in various places of the cafeteria move slightly, ready to come out and play. Except, it will be the death of a lot of people. "let's see who will make it out." he spoke with a smirk on his face, his dark eyes seeming to almost go black in colouration as he hummed a tune that was both errie and sickly. It would cause anyone to get goosebumps and their hairs to stand on end. It was one of those tunes you hear in horror movies just about someone was about to die. Or an evil errie children's lullaby. He always hummed it, even as a kid, he was one scary and weird kid. But yet, now, he was a man and a danger as well as one to be very much afraid of. After all his name lucifer, does mean another name for satan.

⚖ Jayce
[age: twenty-four // nname: blue, jay] - [location: tba] - [tags: none mentions: vaguely everybody]
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Hum diddily dum. Wow. What a particularly nice conversation he was having with these men. They all regarded him with a certain amount of platonic affection. There smiles and laughter in response to his weary attempts at communication were encouraging. He rarely had to try very hard to captivate an audience. Back home, Jayce used to be the talk of the town. It could hardly be any different from where he stood, here. It was all him. His job was to draw the attention of the others to him. The guards, that is. His other fellow power holders were to stay obediently oblivious until Jayce drew most attention away from the mess hall. Then, up up up and away to the third floor where he would assume control of the control room. Jayce was to be the eyes in the sky for this operation, something a sharpshooter was drastically excellent at being. His job was considerably easier than the others. Why? Well... because this was Jayce. And he was incredibly good at whatever he did. Sound a bit cocky and arrogant to say so? You had to remember that he'd been biding his time a mile underground for a month, now. He was feeling exponentially down in the dumps, even if it would be hard to tell at first glance. A constant struggle with staying out of his head but not losing his head completely. There were no mirrors in that room of his. Nothing but a window on a door that only vaguely allowed him to check the color of his eyes. The shape of his brows. The softness to his lips. How could he know it was really him right now?
To be honest, Lucifer had done him a favor by commenting on his face. Weird, it was weird to feel like there was a possibility his face was not his. He'd gone a whole day wearing Tobias' face and he hadn't even known until the guard shouted at Jayce, using Toby's last name. The sharpshooter shifted weight on each foot as he waited for Saidi to give him some kind of a signal. However, the longer that he waited there, the more restless he became. The call of his pistols were only getting sweeter. He was balancing desperately on an board of wood in the middle of the ocean. And this man was ready to tip over into the frigid water below him. You know, there was never a deciding point when Jayce completely altered his attention from Saidi to the room around him. Oh, what would Julian say if that man knew what was ticking about in Atkins' head? Flashes of missions flicked through his mind. One in particular played on loop. Jules was yelling at him to lower his weapon as Jayce took aim at an unknown during a particularly important mission. However, if you'd have known Jayce then -- you knew that he would never let somebody jeopardize a mission. And Jayce had pulled the trigger on the bystander. It's just what he did. But the real moral of the story was that Jayce didn't listen to people when he wanted to do something. He knew his place. He was to serve as the distraction. And he didn't need this woman to tell him when to play ball.
Slowly but surely, he started getting a little louder. For you see, a successful distraction needs build up to erase suspicion. He started with striking up a trivial argument with one of the faculty employees. And from trivial, he altered the nature of it as if he were controlling the strings on a puppet. The other bit back, matching Jay's volume. By now, most of the guards had turned their heads towards Jayce, a few so much as placing their hands on their weapons. Oh, what Saidi must be thinking right now. He could imagine her screaming internally as Jayce took the initiative to start without her say so. "And what? Are you saying that I'm a weapon!?" Jayce barked, false anger playing his features as he lurched at the innocent facility member, "You want a weapon, Aleks? Why don't you make me pull the trigger! I dare you." His voice boomed above the noise in the mess hall, the rest of the cafeteria falling silent upon the threat. Jayce paused, breathing heavily as he straightened up and spun in a circle to get a good long look at everybody's eyes on him. Nobody made a move just yet, and Jayce avoided looking at his own group completely. Only the guards and soldiers. "ONE MONTH!" the man spat, letting out real venom this time, "Aleks!"
"Y-yes?" the small voice whimpered from behind him. "Do you know what happens when the hungry caged wolf is let out?" By now, the guards had taken a tiny ounce of initiative and Atkins didn't miss a beat. Two guns to your left. Three to your right. One in front. Turn to face Aleks. Slowly, he turned around to face the young man behind him who was muttering pathetically, "N.. no." Jay flicked his gaze past Aleks to view the guards that had previously been watching Tobias and Daichi. All of them had their guns aimed at Jay's head. Perfect. Slowly, Jay raised his hand, making it obvious that he held no weapon in it. But he did curl his fingers in the shape of a gun, his head falling to the side with a grin, "That's because smart people don't let hungry wolves out of their cages." And just like that, a piece of metal shot out of Jay's sleeve and embedded into the facility worker's forehead, "Pew." Oh the chaos that erupted the second Aleks' body crumpled to the floor. From every side he heard the firing of at least ten guns being shot in his direction. The bullets all froze in mid air inches away from the sharpshooter, and in the mere seconds it took for all this to ensue, he pushed them back out with the same force of a gun. He was simply returning ammunition. He wasn't a great aim with his powers yet. How could you blame him when the bullet found themselves lodged onto the flesh of their owners? The guards that had been shot crumpled to the ground, but there was still the matter of those running at him with more electrical means of pacification.
But Jayce had run over this in his head on a loop for the past month. Distraction. Kill a few people. Drag your sorry carcass out the damn mess hall. So Jay sprinted, using all the martial combat he'd learned as a soldier to avoid hands and weapons. He didn't bother returning bullets. He only focused on creating a field around himself that would stop any from hitting him. Eyes fell on Viktor as he pushed out of the mess hall with guards following him. However, as soon as he was away from his friends, Jay had already changed his face -- creating a massive goose chase. To anybody paying attention, some guards may have been delighted to know of Viktor's new twin. The ex-soldier ignored the shouts, knowing that he wasn't out of the clear yet. He imagined that the grey prisoner's garb would eventually give him away despite the face he wore. He just needed to catch Viktor's attenti- Oh. There we go. He saw his personal guard coming at him with anger in his eyes that couldn't possibly be rivaled. Well, perhaps Daichi could give Viktor a run for his money. Not important. The chase led the two of them to an abandoned hall, and before the guard could call for backup, Jayce ripped the metal radio out of his hand with his mind. "Wha? Y-you never showed any mastery over the control of metal. I thought-" Jayce stopped him, holding up his hand, "You thought that by keeping me a mile under ground in a room with nothing but a bed would keep me from being dangerous? Awe, sweetheart, was it the smile? Love, I smile at everybody. And to satisfy your quivering lip, I've been using the screws in the bed as practice. I think I still have -- yeah, I do. I knew this would come in handy." Before Viktor could even object, Atkins raised his hand in the shape of a gun and a second screw shot out of his sleeve. "Pew!" God, that's fun. Now. Clothes. Third floor. It is good to be back in business.
☁ Skye
[age: twenty // nname: n/a] - [location: tba] - [tags: rhene, lucifer, saadi mentions: jayce]
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Of course, Skye tensed up when Lucifer initially wrapped his arm around her. She wasn't entirely used to touching people or having others touch her, even if it was for something as trivial as a hug. But it didn't take more than a few seconds for her shoulders to relax. She even leaned into the older man's side, just thankful that he offered her some sort of comfort right now. But her brows screwed up at what he said. Rolling her eyes, Skye lightly punched his stomach with her fist, "Sure thousands. But it only takes one mistake to get killed. Even somebody like you isn't a God of luck." In fact, when she looked at Lucifer, she had a very strong feeling that he wasn't very lucky in the first place. Lucky people were a lot happier than this guy. Just look at Jayce. The guy was basically Moses and the Red Sea, chatting like up a storm with those facility employees over there. She had to wonder what his angle was by talking to innocent employees. She sure as hell hoped that he wasn't planning on killing any of them. Defenseless, they were. But, they were also the enemy, and she could ignore that. Everybody in this mess hall was armed with some type of weapon or another. And Skye meant everybody. Perhaps the ones wielding the deadliest weapons were currently waiting for a signal from Saadi.
Even Skye had to admit that she was relieved the woman was taking initiative and leading the group. However, Everfalls wondered if Lucifer held a certain amount of resentment for being made second in command. He was too passive at times, Skye thought. But when it came to strategy and brains over brawn, Skye knew that Saadi was their girl. True, she wielded a personality that Skye found difficult to fall under, but she was nobody to stand up and argue against somebody. As Rhena sat next to Skye, the blonde grinned widely to hide her nerves. It's alright. No big deal. Deep breaths. Coffee. You had coffee. Drink it and cherish it. The ice element grabbed the hot drink and brought it to her lips in euphoria. Her head fell in Rhena's direction, "Can you even control animals? Because that would be amazing. If we get out of here, you have to try it. I'd like to order one skunk please. And I just want it to follow me around and only spray my enemies." Her voice was quiet as guards didn't usually appreciate talk of "getting out". Skye was completely ready to keep the conversation about her friend's powers as the focus of her attention, but she felt herself get quiet as the atmosphere of the mess hall began to change. As somebody who was incredibly in tune with her surroundings, she looked around and her eyes fell on Jayce. Wait. What? Did Saidi even give the signal or is he just doing what he- Oh. It's Jayce. Of course he's just doing what he wants.
Skye didn't dare look up at their fearless leader as the argument Jay was riling up started escalating. The facility workers began to back away from the six foot three inch tall prisoner. Despite his height, though, he didn't really look intimidating. It was the lack of a smile that made him look dangerous. Him missing a smile never meant something good was about to happen. Everfalls could tell that the rest of the cafeteria knew this as well as they started to pull out guns. The blonde bit her lip, narrowing her eyes in Jay's direction. They had simply told her he was to be the groups' distraction. But she had no idea what he was planning. To be honest, this plan -- as thought out as it was -- was based largely on chance. There it was. Jayce lunged at the worker. The room settled under a wave of crickets. And the crack of Jay's thunderous voice caused even Skye to shudder. There was real pain in that man's eyes as he vented to the room. Just two words. "One month." When the facility worker -- apparently named Alex... Aleks? -- crumpled to the floor, all hell broke loose and the cafeteria swarmed with action. Even Jayce disappeared, only to be seen flicking out the doors of the mess hall. Good luck. Be careful. At this moment, Skye stood with a vacant stare as guards began to round up prisoners. This included them, she was soon to find out. Most of the soldiers were oblivious that this was a group effort, but there were a few that held copious amounts of suspicion in their eyes. Not yet. Don't move yet. Wait for Jay. At this point, they could only trust that Jayce was making it to the third floor. How long would that take? She had no idea.
But as a guard pulled her away from Lucifer, she was cooperative as ever. "Ow ow ow," she muttered, casting a harsh little glare at the man who didn't know what gentle meant. He better not keep this up or Lucifer would lose his sh*t. "Alright you four, lunch time's over. It's time to get back to your cages." This guard spat at them, his heavy Russian accent making things hard to understand completely. But Skye could get the gist of it. One guard moved over to grab at Lucifer when there was a loud screech of feedback which bounced off the large room walls. "I love how they call this place a 'base'. Jesus. Oh! I'm connected." There was a very familiar voice spilling through the facility-wide intercoms, accessible from the third floor control room. Skye heard the chuckle from the speakers, and her smile only widened at the dumbstruck faces of the guards. The one who had been holding onto Skye's arm let out a curse and took off towards the cafeteria exit. "You guys look so adorable on these monitors. I'm gonna go ahead and ask everybody to kindly not come up towards the third floor. I would suggest a right after leaving the cafeteria. You know? Why don't don't you even take the stairs down to first floor? Because honestly, there's nothing up here but me. And lovelies, good luck." Skye watched soldiers ignore the directions that weren't meant for them, obviously tearing to the third floor. But for the power holders still in the cafeteria, they had their first set of directions out of this maze of a facility. Skye looked up to Saidi, rubbing her arm and she took a deep breath. "Your call. Are we blowing this joint or not?"

His smile had always been a practised thing, picked up from those around him. Daichi was a mirror, copying the actions and the physical aspects of emotions from others. None of them were his. So here, he mimicked the grin that Tobias gave him, his head dipping to pass his gaze over the reflective material that they'd outfitted him in. His fingers twitched slightly, curling and nails digging into the palms of his hands. Anger was a thing that he was quite accustomed to, and it had been accused to being the only emotion that the fire element could actually feel. There had been plenty of things to fan the flames of that fury, that sparked need for destruction, the desire for pain and blood and heat and death. Absolute carnage, they could tear this place to pieces and make it to where they were the only two left standing. And what was stopping them? What was preventing that from happening? Well... the others. SaIdi. Jayce. Skye, Zeph, Rhena, Lucifer, Zeek. They kept each other in balance, in check, to make sure that nothing so irrational and destructive were to happen. (How boring, really.)
Akino's dark eyes took up a sick, hard light at the question that was passed to him by the conduit, a soft noise rattling in his throat. "Have I ever said no?" His voice was a harsh thing, rough, but at the same time -- it was raw with the very prospect of it all. His hand lifted, staring through his fingers and to Tobias, his head tilting a bit. The soldiers, the guards, the Russians -- they'd taken pre-emptive measures to make damn good and sure that they couldn't do anything like this. But this time was different. All nine of them had banded together -- they were working together. It wasn't one man against an army this time, no. But Tobias and Daichi -- they always had eyes on them. The guards almost refused to let them out of their sites, the focus of their guns. They couldn't so much as glance sideways without the threat of a bullet to the head. Not that Daichi would mind that, now mind you, but he'd rather be remembered for a man more than one who was looking to get shot the second he took a step forward.
When the first body dropped, blood fell with it, causing Akino to shudder hard. Oh, how he'd kill for his blades right now. The familiar weight of his sword on his back, the knives at his belt. Here, he was forced to rely on nothing more than his flames -- something that he would have refused to resort to if he had other options. But it looked like they group was all s--- out of those, so he'd have to use what he could get his hands on. His eyes slid from the body to Jayce then promptly back to Tobias, his chin lifting slowly. Show-time. And Jayce was gone. Daichi was practically humming with pent up anger and energy, the need to burn the place down heightened only far more now that he knew he could. "Help me out of this thing, and I will return the favour," he murmured to Reeves, his eyes flicking down to the suit that they'd had him locked up in for far too damn long now.
Beautiful. Okay. Jayce knew what he was doing, and though he wasn't doing it the way that she wanted to... Well. Her teeth clicked, jaw clenching. The chaos that typically ensued and surrounded Jayce was not something that she liked, even if it was helping them, dragging them closer to their desired end-game. Helpful, but wholly, one hundred per cent annoying. He was loud -- that irked her more than anything else, really. Couldn't he have created a more civilised distraction? One that wouldn't spark tempers? Specifically the tempers of those who practically fed off of anger? Her eyes kept drifting over to the electric conduit and the fire dog with hesitations and obvious distrust lighting her dark eyes. Saidi winced when she heard Jayce's voice tear out in a yell, the woman trying to press herself back, to appear smaller, and just watch. Atkins was successfully drawing the guard's attention, but Saidi knew that some of them would only be on high alert in regards to the rest of them.
The first man fell dead, and Saidi's anger spiked. Oh hell. She hadn't meant for anyone to die, no -- not now, at least. She hadn't looked for there to be carnage and blood shed just yet but here Jayce was doing -- guess what! -- exactly the opposite of what she wanted. Which he seemed to be really good at. Her jaw clenched in response, hands falling to her face. Oh, gods. This was going in the complete opposite direction from where it should have gone. Now the guards were going to think this to be a conspiracy (which, it was, but still) and likely kill every last one of them. And all because of what? All because Jayce didn't f---ing listen. But really, what else did she expect? The identity thief was hell at following directions and listening, and to be honest? She should have seen it coming. Well, Jayce just lost a s---ton of brownie points on her good side. Not to mention! Had she even given him a go-ahead? Where the hell was the signal? Oh, ha, that's right! She never had a chance to give it. Oh, she was going to kill him the next time she saw him.
Hands were just about to close around her arms when the speakers cracked to life, Jayce's unforgettable voice spreading into the room. Those hands stopped, Saidi staring at the guard who was now carefully backing up, drawing his gun out. And for the first time since this damn stunt that Jayce had pulled, she smiled. "Baraka allahu fika, Jayce." Her head shook, her expression almost dumbfounded as she stared at the speakers. Anyway. Back to the present. Her eyes turned back down, looking over the remaining members of the group before tallying a quick headcount. All right, everyone was here. Her finger pointed to Rhenawedd, Daichi, and Tobias, Saidi moving across the room to them. "You three. I want you three to take care of the guards. And don't f--- it up." She snapped, then turned on her heel and headed back to the other members. Her eyes narrowed slowly as Jayce began filling them with directions, her head shaking as she mentally recorded them, praying that she wouldn't forget quite so easily. Right. Stairs. First floor. All right, then. All systems were a-go. At Skye's question, Saidi turned her eyes to the girl before smiling. "Unless anyone else has any better ideas, let's get the hell out of here."
