Dot gave a giggle at the male as he rolled his eyes. She had never met a king before and only acted as though they were in a movie, which was bowing, honoring, and doing everything for the king. She shivered slightly when he took the bracelet and she pulled her hood back up, hiding her yellow eyes. She smiled lightly at his name and simply nodded.
"My name is Dot, but you can call me whatever, it's nice to meet you Nanashi. I have never met a king before... or much of anyone really so forgive me if I seem improper, I don't exactly know how to act in front of others. But oh that'd be so sweet of you! I will gladly take you up on the offer." Dot said with a smile, her fur blowing in the slight night breeze.

"Then we're off..."Once again, Shiki turned away from the other and began walking towards the edge of the field, he waved his tail as a motion to follow. Once on the outskirts of town, he lowered himself to the ground and moved as quickly as he could, trying not to be noticed. When he reached the tall stone wall of the castle, he moved some rocks around and squeezed through a hole that had been roughly carved out. "Stay close, and be quiet.." He said lowly, not looking back at the other.
It wasn't until they had stepped into a wide hallway inside the castle that Shiki stood on his hind legs again. Fixing his crown, he walked tall through the corridor and called for some nearby servants. When one rushed over to the pair, the new viscet didn't question the females presence and only hardly took note of her. "Fix my friend a room to stay in for the night, and leave a meal tray for her as well." Shiki said calmly, and the servant replied with a polite bow of the head and hurried down the hall in the opposite direction. Shiki turned to Dot, not sure what to do next. "Are you all right now? What brought you into the outskirts of my town?"

Dot nodded at Nanashi and quickly followed behind the male. Watching him intently Dot tried her best to mimic him so that she wouldn't cause any problems. When he hunkered down so did she, as she quietly slipped into the tall grass, disappearing for the time being. But as they grew closer to the castle the grass grew shorter until finally the two weren't hidden anymore. Dot stopped for a moment to gape in awe at the mighty structure before her. Never had Dot seen something so large and tall. The castle was magnificent standing taller than any tree in the land and fortified with a wall in it's path. After a moment of staring Dot came to her senses and looked about to spot Nanashi by a hole in the wall. Quickly Dot scrambled after him, trying not to make to much noises as she trotted quickly to Nanashi's side. Dot perked her ears at Nanashi's statement and pretended to zip her lips, before giggling to herself and then proceeded to shush herself. Dot wasn't the best at being a sneaky rebel. Once inside the castle Dot had more time to look around. Speechless was never a word that could describe Dot, so shocked was more fit. Dot turned a full rotation taking everything in before turning back to Nanashi and beaming at him.
"This is your house? Wow, it's so large, almost twenty times as big as my old cabin. I'm doing fine now... also who was that?" Dot curiously asked. But before Nanashi would be able to even think about an answer Dot was searching around, down on all fours looking at the ground of the castle. His other question brought her attention back to him and suddenly her smile faded slightly.
"Oh...well you see my parents both died when I was very young. I was an orphan really, no place to go, that's when she took me in. I never knew her real name so I called her Skylar. She raised me and took care of me and taught me what she knew. Wasn't much as we lived out in the woods in a tiny cabin. Life was good for a while, that is until she passed. I made sure to leave her in her resting place and decided I didn't want to stay in the sorrowful cabin of Skylar. So I went out in search of a life... my life possibly. I found a couple of villages and manged to scrap a bit of money together. They all told me to keep heading the direction of the hills, told me I'd meet the king, which is you!-" Dot's smile returned as she rushed forward, again not knowing any social boundaries and hugged Nanashi. Dot let go quickly, her smile growing wider as she shown with gratitude.
Thank you by the way, for letting me stay here in this castle...but do I have to have a room alone.. I've never really stayed with someone else before, in a unfamiliar place." Dot looked around before turning her attention back to Nanashi

Not being able to answer the question fast enough, shiki only stood and listened to the other ramble. When she had finished her confession, he tensed at the sudden embrace and flinched out of her grasp. "ah.." Shiki began, his head ducking slightly and his gaze wandered towards the window, "I'm sorry to hear about that... My father was killed when I was a viscetling, by the previous King... My new father raised me only to be his heir, he was never a father to me, nor will this place ever be my home. My mother passed soon after we were forcibly moved into this castle, and I found myself alone, stripped of everything I had ever known, including my name... My name is Shiki, but the old King would call me Nanashi as a way of filling an empty name, nobody knows my real name."
soon, the servant from earlier hurried back towards them and bowed once they were within a radius of them, "Sire, the room and food you requested are being prepared and should be available shortly." "Wait.." Shiki turned to look Dot straight in the eyes, his own narrowing in a challenging way, "You wish to sleep in my proximity, how can I trust you?"

Dot watched the king flicker out of her grasp and wondered curiously what she'd done wrong. Maybe kings don't hug others... or maybe it's more formal to bow instead of hug Dot wondered to herself. But then Nanashi started to speak of his past. It was heartbreaking and as Nanashi went on Dot wanted nothing more then to just hug him again. Small tears formed in her eyes as she curled her tail around her feet, the castle suddenly taking a dark tone. The air felt thicker, the walls more enclosed and the floor was colder then ice. Dot shuffled closer to Shiki, now wishing to use his real name as the other one seemed fake.
"Oh.. I'm really sorry Shiki... that is very... harsh to put on you. I suddenly dislike this old king, if he's still around I'd love to have a word or two with him. That king's brains must be Moon rot, excuse my language-" Dot apologized to Shiki. To Dot Moon rot was a very foul word that Skylar had taught her.
"Also I like your real name, it sounds beautiful and fits you. Plus if you ever need a friend I could be of assistance." Dot smiled warmly before seeing the servant Viscet rush back. Another new Viscet, one of her own kind. Dot stepped towards the servant curiously and sniffed his mane before gently stoking his paw. Again social interactions were entirely new to Dot, she proceeded with what she believed was a common held curiosity for new people. Dot looked up when Shiki addressed her and her yellow eyes locked with his deep red gaze. When he narrowed his eyes Dot simply mimicked him, not knowing what this interaction meant and mistook it for a friendly greeting into a question.
"You can take all of my things if you please, except one thing in which I request to keep in my possession at all times. With all due respect Shiki you are king but I still like to have my Lamby on me at all times. My satchel with my belongs and my cloak are yours to take and store for while I stay, I carry no weapons anyway."Dot spoke in a serious tone, trying to match the air of importance. But it subsided when Dot giggled at the servant when she sniffed him again.

Shiki studied Dot for a few moments, his eyes never leaving hers until he sighed and turned his attention toward the servant, flicking his tail, "Very well, change in plans. Move the arrangements to my sleeping quarters for the night." "But Sire-" "This is an exception. It will not happen again." The servant bowed and hurried back in the direction they came from.
Shiki glanced over to Dot before making his way down the long hallway towards his private room. At the heart of the castle, he opened a large door that led to a rather large room suited for a king. A royal bed was in the far corner of the room, draped in silks and other fancy fabrics. On the far side of the room was a large, thick window overlooking the back of the castle garden, and the flowing field of flowers where the two had met a few hours prior. Next to the window was a wooden table with trays of food covering almost every inch of the table's surface. In the opposite corner from Shiki's bed lay a makeshift bed, set up by some servants just a few moments before Shiki and Dot entered the room. With a sigh, Shiki nearly ripped the crown off his head and set it on the nightstand next to his bed before falling into the soft blankets of his bed.

Dot watched Shiki in anticipation wondering why he took so long on a simple yes or no answer. Trying to wrap her brain around this kingly stuff was hard, and yet Shiki seemed so good at it. Then again he had said he spent most of his life training for this moment. When he agreed Dot gave a happy yip and jumped up, her tail swishing around and nearly knocking over some golden looking pot. Dot looked at her satchel one last time and reached her paw in to pull out a soft lamb plush that had a small crown on top of it's head. The crown wasn't real and was soft like the lamb's fur as Dot hugged it tightly to her chest before following Shiki down the hall. She stuck right by his side, getting very close to stepping on his tail at times. When they reached his room Dot peaked around Shiki's shoulder, even though he was a bit taller than her, to see his room. She stood in the door way for a couple of seconds to take it all in. Dot's mind buzzed with awe as the room looked like it could fit ten or more Viscets. The bed was framed with silk drapes hanging over the sides to give it a feel of importance. Dot didn't miss a beat as she went around touching, sniffing, poking, and sometimes licking things that were all new to her. Dot had never seen so many shiny things in one place, she smiled and turned back to Shiki.
"Woah, and this is just your bedroom! I wonder what the kitchen looks like am I right?-" Dot paused to laugh at her own joke, images of food dipped in gold filling her mind. She continued. "Oh my word...look at the view of the garden, it's so pretty, especially with the rising moon..." Dot stayed, paws pressed against the window for a moment, her eyes and brain trying to take in the view. Never had something been truly as beautiful as such in her mind. Dot finally pulled away, a bit sad to leave the mysterious beauty but glad to turn back to her new 'friend'. Dot watched what Shiki did, not understand anything of working with a king. She simply trotted over and plopped down, right next to him, where their fur brushed slightly. Dot giggled and curled her tail up, facing the kinds face, Shiki's extra fluff now more obvious on his head since he took his crown off.
Did I do it right?"Dot asked, clearly not knowing that laying down on a bed wasn't a drill or anything.

Shiki jumped from the sudden weight on the bed next to him, and he moved away from the other. He mumbled under his breath but didn't look up, "The food trays on the desk are for you, as you mentioned a need for a meal. The bed next to the desk has also been laid out and prepared for you as well. ...." Shiki curled himself into the bed, though not yet trying to fall asleep.

Dot watched the male curiously. Skyler used to show signs of not wanting to talk when she was thinking about the past or was sad. Dot wondered why the king could be said than remembered his past. Her ears flattened agasint her head and she slowly walked over to the table. The food looked amszing, a bunch of sweets, meats and fruits all met her eyes. They were bright, but then there was bread and cheese. The smells where warming yet... unfamiliar as Dot grew up with lots of vegetables and weird little mixtures Skyler made her. The mixtures might not have tasted that good but they gave Dot stronger running legs, a glossy coat and stronger immune system. Dot had always been thankful for whatever Skyler had made her. Dot missed the witch dearly, but shook the thought and put on a small smile, choosing bread with cheese and apples. She'd save the sweets for another time. Dot walked back over to the bed and gave a soft sigh, sitting back down.
"Don't worry Shiki... things may seem grim and dark at times but without darkness how would the stars shine? I miss my parents and Skyler dearly but they're here, watching over me. Same for you. Shiki you're never alone when it comes to these things..." Dot stated softly.

"Ah, you wouldn't understand..." After realizing Dot had no intention on moving from his bed, Shiki slowly got to his feet and walked to the large window. He leaned out of it, taking in the quiet scene behind the castle. He flattened his ears and glanced back at Dot. "It's getting late, you should get some sleep."
